article. a lot of questions. than this, of college in california wants to convert a portion of its student computer lab into a safe space for lgbt q and undocumented students but those who don't identify as either are fighting back to keep the money from funding any part of the $500,000 project. santa monica college student campus reform correspondent, thank you for joining us. $5000 for the safe space, you've started this petition not wanting your money to go to these groups you don't identify with. speech is not 100% too. i am bisexual but it is ridiculous we are spending $500,000 of people's money for something they themselves don't want and our administration doesn't believe we need to.

our administration did a survey and 50 lgbt q, undocumented students, found not a single one of them felt unsafe on campus. the fact we are still pushing this is still moving forward with this. it is an agenda and not something we need to. heather: let's look at the master plan as was stated to develop a plan to establish a gender equity center to serve all students interested in her having a need for issues of gender, sexuality, identity and inclusion. is there a need for this? >> not according to the students who were surveyed. 50 students were surveyed and not a single one felt unsafe on this campus and that is what is great about leadership, bring so much information across the country and this is another of the textbook cases of campuses pushing an agenda students don't once. we see this all over the

country, administrators trying to push what they believe is necessary and coddling the children by not accepting our word that our voices, when we say no, we don't need this. heather: you went to this meeting, a petition you had it you were unlawfully removed from the meeting. what happened? >> california state law governing public meetings, i must be allowed to make a public comment after new information has been made. there was no public comment section, myself and another student, for our objection to this awful awful waste of money and valuables student resource on our computer lab which is to be taken up to make space. heather: let's look at the actual physical proposal, they want to renovate the existing computer lab space converting to the social justice center, they say it will provide counseling,
