verdict in the kate steinle case. jillian: and illegal immigrant found not guilty by a jury in the sanctuary city of san francisco. >> the decision is reigniting a national debate. >> reporter: the verdict not only shocking but heartbreaking, the illegal immigrant responsible for kate steinle's death found not guilty of murder and involuntary manslaughter because the defense claimed it was an accident saying josé didn't mean to shoot steinle out of san francisco. 2013. instead the gun which had been stolen from the bureau of land management agent's car went off by itself when he picked it up. prosecution its argument, he was playing his own version of russian roulette, shooting steinle who was walking appear with her father on purpose. the case is a symbol of a broken immigration system, at the time

me they were back in shock and stunned about this verdict. i don't think he gets due process seven times. these are rights of an american citizen. i don't think he should have those rights to begin with let alone as many times as he did, who knows where we would be today, absolutely stunning verdict and i pray for this family. i understand what they must feel like. rob: we are trying to make sense of what happened in a courtroom that led to so many acquittals, how do they not pull off the manslaughter charge? i can't believe the jurors didn't think he was at least responsible for her death whether he wanted to shoot a person at all, he was at least responsible for his death, he was acquitted of that, blows my mind. >> you or i would be found

murder you go home and it was the loneliest time for me because you feel everybody has gone back, you don't have the da or anybody helping you and i can't imagine feeling that way and knowing he is going to get a couple years in prison and the st. louis city is going to let him out again. rob: your son's, got a life sentence and is in jail the rest of his life. >> he is in jail for 20 more years he will come up for parole, who knows what will happen at that point. rob: the fed is now saying we will work this in the case of kate steinle again, we are in the same situation, his eighth felony, what does it matter if we are not going to secure the border? >> exactly right, how much money, 6 times, anything less

>> very fascinating, a disaster artist with box office bucks with his review, kevin mccarthy, looks like an interesting movie. >> it is 2:20, i want to preface this with two things that are important to note, this is a platform release, the movie rolling out on different dates, new york and la and city use like dc rolling out different parts of the country throughout the month of december. this is based on the making of the worst movie of all time called the room. it came out in 2003. it is an opinion but the room is considered one of the worst movies ever paid, directed by tommy weiser. the disaster artist, the movie we are reviewing today's

directed by james franco who plays him in this film about the making of that movie. it is complicated, the movie is absolutely amazing, james franco does one of the most incredible interpretations of this character i have ever seen, brilliant in the movie, his brother dave is in the film as well and it is about the making of that movie. the movie became a huge cult hit released in 2003, not to be confused with the movie room which led to the academy award winner a couple years ago but becomes a rocky horror picture type cult hit where people go to midnight screenings across the country and they watch it and have fun with it. this film about the making of that i gave a 4.5 out of 5, one of the best movies of the year and i think james franco deserves an academy award. if you have seen the room see it again before seeing this movie.
