wants the footnote of his career to be that he led this team partisans who had participated in speaking out against the person they were investigating. rob: seems like bob mueller is fairly neutral in this thing and is trying to do this right, he's removing the people that he finds, the question remains, can he get them all about to be fair investigation and at the end of the day, the president doesn't want to start the whole thing over because recycles the whole thing and expands. >> that's right. we know that you lead people when you're building an organization and this is basically his organization, the special counsel's organization to figure out what happened. now, unfortunately it doesn't seem they're going where the facts lead them and with any special committee or special

counsel you follow the facts that are unfolding, and what appears to be happening here is that they are trying to create the outcome that they want or some on that team were seek to go change words, nuance words, were trying to create an outcome they want. that is not a fair investigation. that is something that has been politicized and they're tweaking that information. jillian: there's still no smoking gun. how long do you think we are going to be having this conversation? >> you know, jillian, that's the unfortunate thing when it comes to special counsel, they will continue until they find something and what is causing such an erosion of the public trust is the fact that they are individuals that are part of mueller's team who have an agenda and they are trying to seek an outcome and if i were him, i would pull them together and maybe this is where you really do need a reset button.

rob: we will have to wait and see. we are moving to another topic, that is tax reform, the thing that could save the administration, give them a big victory. at this point it's going to conference, they will hash it out, the big, you know, criticism from the left is that, you know, the republicans want to give this huge break to corporations which, i think, will help economy but they want to do it on the backs of the little guy, middle-class, what do you say to that? >> i say to that, marginal rights, doubling of the deduction, standard deduction, you realize that is focused at middle-income earners, hard-working taxpayers, also what's the number one complaint that you have from people in the workforce right now, wage stagnation, can't get a raise, not enough job opportunity and when you lower business taxes for corporations and the

pass-through entities, what is going to happen job's growth, that is what you're going to see and when you have job's growth you're going to see that escalation in wage rates. i like those numbers that we saw coming out on friday, i thought that was a very positive indicater and you're looking at 3% gdp growth, i'm ready to see a 4% number come up. jillian: who do you think we should see an eye on and why? >> my hope is that everyone is going to say, we need to get this done, it's part of president trump's agenda, it is important that members of the house and senate stand with the president, get this across the finish line and have it signed for the american people before christmas. jillian: do you think it happens? >> i do, do i. jillian: we will leave it there. rob: maybe some of the things that the left is worried about will be fixed or changed somehow to make it more -- >> let me tell you, any day i

jillian: good morning, welcome back, the president denouncing what he calls fake news media and calling for firings after a string of major reporting errors are exposed. rob: rough week, todd with the escalating war of wards, hey, todd. >> four media reporting errors this past week corrected by reporters and/or news organization sparking twitter attack from the president yesterday afternoon. he wrote, quote, very little discussion of the purposely false and defamatory stories put out this week by the fake news media, they are out of control. correct reporting means nothing to them, major lies written and forced to be withdrawn after they are exposed, a stain on america. here is the timeline first it was abc news correcting a brian ross report that incorrectly accused donald trump of directing michael flynn to make contact with russian officials before the election. then it was bloomberg and the

wall street journal that corrected stories that investigators had subpoenaed donald trump's records for from a german bank when they turned out that the subpoena concerned people and entities close to donald trump. and then donald trump and john, jr. received an e-mail allowing them to access hacked documented before such documents were publicly available and washington post reporter issued apology for president trump for tweeting a photo of empty arena prior to trump rally in florida that had been taken hours before the event started nevertheless some argue that misreporting actually bolsters trust in media, take a listen. >> are precisely the reason why people should trust the media. worst mistakes that press organizations have precisely occurred in effort, their everzealous effort to be fair to the president.

nastialses in front of him, where does this stand right now? is this okay for the president to touch this? >> well, first thing is first, rob, i think the president is right, it is critical that republicans win this seat, already the gop has a razer-thin margin, 58-48, on some days we have members out for health reasons and another handful of members who are moderate republicans and enjoy poking the white house and the eyes of president trump, we saw that recently with john mccain in the obamacare repeal bill. so i think it's critically important here but the story, i think, tomorrow the even bigger story is going to be the blowback by the voters of the state of alabama on the mainstream media on the elites, on the left who have come into

their state and tarred and feathered a man without any evidence, without any court case, i think the bigger story here tomorrow is not just by the numbers, will the gop have a win, looks like they will but absolute -- rob: you make a good point that there -- this hasn't gone through a court system yet and it's just allegations at this point but there's a number of allegations and they do appear to be credible and you can tell that the president thinks somewhat thinks they are credible, i support him because i need a republican there, chuck, let's go over to you, how do you think this all plays out even if roy moore wins, is it really a win for the republican party? >> i think that the republican party loses no matter what happens tomorrow. if they win, sure, he comes to senate, take him and donald trump and wrap then in nice bow tie and talk about their own words and use their own words to hurt them. if he loses, that hurts donald trump, hurts lots of people

because republicans in alabama, there's -- democrats have no shot at winning any races in alabama, there's much more, 3 to 1 times republicans in alabama and we shouldn't even be in this race, it shows how bad brand is and how tired people are of nonsense. rob: is that fair, jen, that it's not fair or tainted? >> gloria allred has ammo of trying things in public opinion. one of the key accusers of roy moore coming forward saying she actually partially forged that signature in the year book. rob: not the signature but the notes attached to it. >> that's significant, look, i think, again, this is going to be a referendum on the mainstream media elite coming into the state of alabama. i think there's going to be a great deal of pushback and my

sources say that roy moore is actually slightly ahead, he's up 5 to 6, maybe even 7 points. at this point, his last event publicly was last tuesday, this tells me his strategists are doing the right thing here. they are taking what i call the weekend at bernie's approach, taking him around but not do too much talking, not to blow the lead. rob: chuck, the president's daughter came out pretty strongly at least in the beginning, how do you see this playing out tomorrow, do you think roy moore wins this thing? >> she should have come out, i do think that what she said and believe in the women, tomorrow is going to come down to the end, republicans outnumber like 4 to 1, it's close. the good news for democrats they will win either way, a man accused of messing with little girls in the senate or we will beat donald trump. rob: it is a pickle for republicans, it's certainly a pickle for the president on what to do in a situation where he does need republicans to get
