presidency would tank the stock market and kill jobs and mark america's retreat from the world. boy, were they wrong. a year later even the "new york times" is grudgingly admitting due to trump's rollback, business leaders are awash in a wave of optimism investing in new plants, equipment and factory upgrades that bolster economic goth. -- growth. forecasters are going upward with trump. today's "wall street journal" reported that wages are rising do you believe the national average in areas with low unemployment. paychecks are starting to swell.

here's my predic. as trump's policy and tax cuts settle in, our economic forecast will get brighter. now to the latest sexual harassment opportunism out of hollywood. they got star treatment in magazines and newspapers. a couple of 300 female power players announced the time is up initiative. an effort to fight sexual harassment and other gender issues across the country and in the entertainment industry itself. it's convenient that these powerful women that knew about harvey weinstein and others like him are seeking to cleanse themselves from any guilt by social media correspondent to this type of gesture.

she began her first job. not in her field of study, but she was called into work as a district manager into one of the stores when an alrm off. as we went in, she was t-boned in an intersection by a man traveling 82 miles per hour through a red light. her car was pushed across the road through shrubbery and the doors of a building and the building on collapsed on top of her car. my daughter lost her life that night. the man that did this was uninjured, but he was high on medical marijuana. he was given a very light sentence of just 2 years in jail. only spent 17 months there. now he is out and off parole. >> laura: it's infuriating. all we hear about is how marijuana is the only thing you can take to ease pain. anyone criticizing it is heartless.

david, your reaction to that? >> well, that's kind of a funny tweet. it's good to see president trump has a sense of humor, but this is a serious topic. he is right to remind north korea and its leader that he has a button we will use military strength against north korea if we can't come up with a diplomatic solution. there is an important point in iran. let's note the difference between iran and north korea. iran is an unstable government without nuclear weapons. north korea is unstable with nuclear weapons. that's a very significant difference. the reason we have that difference is because we have a nuclear deal with iran that caused iran to give up its new orleans. >> laura: obama hung those people out to dry.
