memo, first let's start there? >> i think that it went too far on both sides, i don't think this was the earth-chattering thing that nunes said it was and at the same time i don't think it was actually nothing. it raises very serious questions about the fbi and doj and, of course, only iting dnc funding or hillary clinton's funding for a dossier that hadn't even been vetted when they used that to apply for a fisa warrant on american citizen is extremely concerning to me. carley: now, katie, about a year ago, president trump tweeted something that he received a lot of flag for, terrible, just found out that obama had mitt wires tapped in trump tower before the victory, nothing found, this is mccarthyism. they did wiretap carter page. so does this prove that president trump was onto something? >> i don't want to speculate too much on that. i think we have more to figure

out first, was i do agree with what happened with carter page seems like an abuse by the fbi and we can't forget the overarching issue and this happened a lot with obama administration with nsa overreach, with potential fisa warrant overreach spying on american citizens, put all the politics aside and just consider that the government may have improperly been given after american citizens when it shouldn't have for political reasons and that should terrify people. rob: katie, let me go to a couple of criticism that is we have heard from the left. the first one is quote from the memo that mccabe testified that without the dossier, steel dossier the fisa warrant would have never been gotten, i want to get your perspective of that. also i read op-ed from politico that talked about the fact that because this was written in october -- well, this was applied for in october of 2016, that's just a month before the election, is that really

realistic that they were trying to throw the election using this if they are applying for fisa warrant only a month in advance when people were set to vote, that's very close. >> people are saying that mccabe didn't say that they wouldn't have pursued the fisa warrant against page without the dossier but there's transcripts of this. i don't think they are making up that mccabe made the comment. as for everything else, i don't think it was trying to throw the election or not get trump elected but perhaps you have opening investigations, they knew what they were doing and they knew potentially what this would lead to and maybe -- it was a fore gone conclusion, trump will become president and we can't change that but in terms of whether they should have been certify -- pursuing this and sum trump's year with russia investigation, i don't know if they're trying to throw

50,000 and that's one of the many large gatherings by another crowd of 15,000 where they like to gather, unfortunately, while most of the crowd was peaceful and the police did a terrific job keeping the peace, not all all peaceful because police can't be everywhere, you can see mace cri's store, the windows are smashed and boarded up the front door and they two front windows and they looted them. this is city hall where the police car is, they have no traffic lights anymore because the traffic lights for all taken down and smashed. the only lamps that weren't were the famous greased poles, how greasy, you see that, that's why they didn't climb the pole.

introducing a bipartisan plan, now it calls for a pathway citizenship for young immigrants in the daca program, mccain telling the wall street journal this, it's time we end the gridlock so we can quickly move onto completing a long-term budget agreement that provides our men and women in uniform the support they deserve while reaching a deal cannot come soon enough for america's service members, the current political reality demands bipartisan cooperation to address the impending expiration of the daca program and secure the southern borders. senate majority leader mitch mcconnell says that he will be perfectly happy to treat the daca issue in a fairway provided the government does not shut down on february 8th, he will work toward a daca solution before its march fifth, deadline, sounds like a little wiggle room this week. rob: yeah, certainly an interesting little debate here we are having on this and seeing the president come so far to trying to make the deal happen.

syndrome and unfortunately it has affected my fellow millennials. carley: republicans are hard wire to dislike anything that nancy pelosi and chuck schumer say and democrats same thing with president trump, so don't both sides of the i'll kind of do this? >> yeah, absolutely. both sides of the i'll have what we call confirmation bias, i think we saw it with the coverage of this memo this past week, people had already kind of made up their mind for what they think about it but i think because trump is president right now and because we see such everything that donald trump does, it seems to be all-time high on the left. part of that is because where young people get their information. the vast majority of young people get their information from their professors, from celebrities and from social media and what we know about those three sources of information is that so often they have a hard left liberal agenda. rob: you're only getting one

side. you look back, there was one speech by president obama in the last five or seven years on illegal immigration and the democratic party has taken such a hard left turn on the topic of illegal immigration, if you cherry-pick some of the statement that is were made by obama on this subject and you put them in front of donald trump and he says them out loud, you would have people screaming nationalist, antiimmigrant and how interesting is it that that party has gone so far to the left on this issue when really just five years ago this would have been a very much bipartisan approved measure to try to get the daca thing done with the wall. >> right, i think that's the scary part about it. not just the vast majority are voting democrat, is that they are so far left that 66% of millennials are okay with a socialist being president, that they actually believe in free college, free health care, things like that without actually thinking of the
