were layed to rest. we spoke to 13-year-old for her 14-year-old friend, ninth grader jamie. >> i'm 13. she was only 14 and she didn't deserve that. none of the kids deserve it. rob: it's tough to hear that from such a young girl dealing with something like this and all of this as we get a better look at the disturbed young man who carried out this attack and another missed warning sign back in 2016 nikolas cruz posted video of himself cutting himself on snapchat also saying that he we wanted to buy a gun, dcf, department of children, family investigated him and there is a dcf hearing today and there will be a request to release the mental health records of nikolas cruz and that could give us better inside into exactly what

was going on in this young man's head to lead him down this path. a local newspaper sat down with the family that took cruz in after mom died back in november of last year, clear signs that he was depressed. he was lonely and wanted a girlfriend and had the wharsal gun but this was a gun family, they said you need to get a case and dad thought he had the only key and he did not. the prosecution as hinted towards looking forward the death penalty in the case, cruz and attorneys have said that they will plead guilty if penalty is off the table so we will see how that all comes together. >> just a horrific scene, that young girl talk about classmates, kids should not have to bury their classmates, rob schmitt, thank you. peter wang reportedly died while

allude to it the fred that rosenstein use, there was no american knowingly, star referenced inputtingly, the conscious effort to do anything wrong and the fact that no american did anything, trump obviously is an american, how do you reconcile that? >> sure, when you look at the indictments and the language that's used, it's related to the crime that they are accusing the russians about, the social media campaign and identity fraud and that's just one element of the whole collusion debate that's going on. now, i suspect that trump was not colluding with the russians personally, i don't see how that makes any sense from the russian perspective but i'm worried that the political ramifications of this are going to help the russian objective and make -- really shield us from understanding the greater objective here which is that this is a very cunning ideological attack on america's

democracy by russia by pinning us against each other and russia understands if americans cannot productively discus disagreements our democracy cannot function properly and that damages freedom around the world. that's what strong men like putin need. >> that's a key point that was lost in some of the analysis that we have seen in other networks over the course of the weekend, trey gowdy referenced that and you heard ken star and you heard facebook ed executive, rob tweets that russia didn't want to interfere with the election, very excited to see the mueller indictment today, we shared russian with congress and mueller to help understand how russians abused our system, still key facts about the russian actions that are still not well understood. here is the most interesting line, russian meddling attempts to affect the 2018 election, i

have seen all the russian ads and i can say definitively that swaying the election was not the main goal and that really sort of underscores what you're saying, the goal is to ruin american democracy. >> exactly. we are failing to understand the ideological dimension of putin strategy that has been place for years and you can tell by propaganda that the russians have been putting out and we are failing to understand what the greatest weakness of putin is which is the threat from within. so how does he best handle the movement for freedom that he faces, well, if you discredit american democracy, you make democracy look like an illusion or something not desirable, then he can undermine his own opposition and that what strong men around the world want. from the perspective of strong men like putin, our hyperpartisanship is our greatest weakness and therefore greatest strength and it's important for americans to realize that.

one could get unemployment benefits would similar i will go down and capped at total of 14 weeks. chris, i will bring you in first, what do you think about this? >> it can be an effect i have thing. one thing we want to make sure that those on welfare, of course that need -- we obviously as americans we want to support them but here is the thing, people continue to misconstrued the welfare process. we have to start looking at it's not how many people we can help to continuously stay, we can get off the welfare system. that's what's important. so what kentucky is doing is great and the rest of america should actually follow it. when you look at statistics and the numbers, look at kentucky, second-highest amount of people long-term on the welfare system itself. this is something that will provide people in my eyes more stimulation to look at job's

training, look at what -- >> chris, i want to bring in david here. david, you obviously disagree with this, why? >> well, look, the reality is when you look at a bill like it's only saving people a tinny, tinny bit of money. the average person on kentucky is on there for 19 weeks and cut down 14 weeks and adding insult to injury for people who can't pay car payments or nobody wants to be unemployment. the idea that people want to be unemployment is rather ridiculous and they go from making a salary for something that's low in unemployment. nobody wants to be doing this. >> david, isn't the thought that quite frankly 14 weeks, three months plus, right, if i'm doing the math correctly, that should be enough to find a job, do you agree with that? >> people in kentucky who are coal miners, it's 10% unemployment because jobs in industries that are not coming back. it's not easy for people to turn around and find other job in a

place where they live where all the industry has been decimated. >> how do you respond the 4.4% number may be nice but may not necessarily be applicable to certain areas? >> so something there's plenty of time to look at and make decisions on their life. the average of people staying on welfare in kentucky is roughly 19 weeks. i know it possibly can be challenging but there are opportunities. in addition to that, it also allows companies to keep more cash on hand, obviously save cost, reduce costs because you have people who are in the welfare system, they might be comfortable four weeks or five weeks before they start looking for a job. what this job is applies pressure to individuals who really get up and focus on making something happen and looking for income for themselves. >> david, in the 15 second we have remaining, final word to you. >> if people want to get serious about this, we -- states need to invest in workforce development and job training, this is not
