tv   The Greg Gutfeld Show  FOX News  February 25, 2018 1:00am-2:00am PST

1:00 am
the greg gutfeld show is next. if you picked -- with the same alex [inaudible] as the next person would be calmly charged in the robert mueller special counsel of education, bingo game because you do have a square marked alex [inaudible]? alex, alex, alex is not an anyone's bingo card. no one had ever heard of him for today. greg: alex [inaudible]. [cheering and applause]
1:01 am
he came, he saw, he checked out his hair. >> what a nice picture that is. i love to watch that guy speak. [laughter] i try like hell to hide that bald spot votes. i work hard at it. doesn't it look bad? were hanging in there. greg: it is amazing that that is our president. [laughter] how did this happen? all right. but he turned insults about his golden mane into a golden moment and it's hard to rip him on his clocks when he says and he's better at it than you are. [laughter] friday at the. >> president trump touched on. but everything talking like your rich uncle simply does not give to the max. [laughter] or three [bleep]'s.
1:02 am
you be the judge of how many [bleep] said he doesn't give. my favorite part when he explained it plainly why people do lousy in midterm elections. >> what happens is you fight so hard to win the presidency and you fight, fight, fight and now only two years, that's a short period of by the time you start campaigning it's one year and now you got to go and fight again but you just one. no one has that same drive that they had so you end up not doing that well because the other side is going crazy and their crazed anyway. they are really crazy. greg: i'm trying to remember if anyone's done that before. it's the best election advice i have ever heard. [laughter] of course antitrust speech would not be complete without an honest self-assessment. >> my administration, i think, has had the most successful first year in the history of the
1:03 am
presidency. i really believe that. [cheering and applause] greg: you know, always point to a guy in the audience after you make a good point. people love it. [laughter] about as much as they love digs at the media and of course, you know who. >> we have a very quick and media, we had a crooked candidate by the way, to but we have a very, very quick and media. greg: alright and just make sure no one felt left out trump major to call out walking driftwood sculpture, john kerry. >> did someone say death to america? i signed an agreement i'm president and he say what's going on here folks, i'm not funny. they just kept going, carry, carry may be the worst negotiator i've ever seen. [laughter] greg: the first. everything is the worst.
1:04 am
or a disgrace. finally, if there is any doubt about the border wall he got right to the point. >> don't worry, you're getting the wall. don't worry. greg: and donald trump is van halen then build the wall is his hot for teacher. but you have to ask yourself why is it so entertaining and so refreshing, i mean, it's totally populist filled with red meat galore with obvious go to applause lines four already made audience but there is more to it than that. trumps good at taking slings and arrows directed at him and turning them into armor and in a world where the left is heading straight into the humorless void of identity politics where all jokes go to die we have a guy charging in the opposite direction into the other world known as one. [laughter] he is also in historical first
1:05 am
and i call it an entertainer in chief. he wanted two things in life to host a tv show where he could talk about stuff but also be president. at 71 he managed to combine both. [laughter] no wonder he is having a ball. that is my final point. he is having a ball and maybe so should you. for now -- let's welcome tonight's guest. he is so tough a bed of nails sleeps on him. [laughter] retired u.s. army lieutenant colonel and fox news contributor alan west. [cheering and applause] she is so bright, lighthouses call her for advice. the federalist staff writer brief patent. [cheering and applause] and there aren't enough tissues
1:06 am
for all of her issues, captains. [cheering and applause] and here is an interesting fact he doesn't own a ladder. [laughter] former bodyguard and my massive sidekick, tyrus. [cheering and applause] colonel west, what interest you most about his seatback speech? any highlights? >> the most important thing if you have ever read the rules for radicals he always talks about how you can use critical against your political opposition and you're right. this guide matter what you thought him he takes it and turned it back against them and they're completely frustrated as if there is nothing that we could say or do to get under his skin. when you look at a person that understands entertainment he is his best public relations firm and i think he foun had fun at e
1:07 am
back. greg: he did have fun. three, colonel west makes a good point about it's always the left that is insult and finally we have triumph the insult dog as president. >> yeah, you're exactly right. i think my favorite part was when he called the democrats out for hating freedom. if there's anything we can learn from the past eight years they do that as soon as i get power -- right now in san francisco which is a super left city and i'm from california and i know how it is over there and they are going after a crisis pregnancy center because their website and up on google when they don't like it. this is the kind of thing we're dealing with. he's calling them out for that and if the shoe fits, wear it. it is obvious that democrats want us all to be miserable and he's been the. greg: he just doesn't care, cat, he been said before he did that snake poem that i know that you love that he said i know people aren't going to like this but i
1:08 am
don't care if they don't like it and i believe that he is he could be very sloppy when of the things he says but if he is right on the big thing we forgive him for the sloppy language at times. >> first of all, inside, greg, know that i love because i don't love the phone. [laughter] priority know that he doesn't care what i think. greg: i painted you into a corner. >> right. this is a classic trump to the base speech that it had everything. the wall. he managed to throw in a crooked hillary they are pretty much and that took talent about immigration and the economy and doing the thing where he stops and leads to the side and waits for people to clap for that -- i did it and it didn't work for me. [laughter] well, it did but he's able to do
1:09 am
it but sometimes he claps for himself. i'm doing right now and it doesn't work for me either. he's good at getting applause and that is something that i can be about him whether or not he has a bald spot. greg: you know, tyrus, i bet he wishes he could do that every week. he seems to enjoy it. >> he doesn't do that every week. [laughter] and that is a part the super left in the cnn building has got to have a late night meetings like what do we got. he cheats on his wife. he's a russian spy. and none of that works, he doesn't care. he's a mcdonald's and he doesn't care. did he eat a baby? they would probably say it was the best baby i have read and those of us who have not had baby should try it. [applause] greg: i don't know what to make
1:10 am
of that. when you talk about the fact he doesn't care it makes it harder for comedians to even deal with him because it doesn't bother -- it might have bothered him for. >> i've been in a relationship where you don't care anymore and you try to take things and that hurt when you sit there and she says you're always late in responsible and she goes whatever but now it hurts me because -- it devalues my -- yeah, see you got to back on them. greg: is the first entertainer into. it's an interesting thing. the ability to combine to life wishes into one thing is pretty amazing. >> the interesting thing is you have normally had the typical republican president or whatever that comes out and talks about all these policies and things that sucks in the deficit suck and he says i can't commit and i don't get it this guy brings people in because they find it funny and find it engaging and,
1:11 am
you know what, they get money in the pockets to on top of that. it's a win-win situation. the cnn folks and nancy pelosi they are debbie dollars. that is what you see. greg: still to come, will discuss the presidents meeting with those affected by gun violence and later nancy pelosi has border wall alternatives. the reporter confronts an elderly top supporter. it's a cornucopia of dumb ideas. [cheering and applause] you won't see these folks at the post office they have businesses to run they have passions to pursue

1:16 am
you are only allowed one. they tax the guns. you have to go through significant training. >> with some initial signs of hurting themselves or someone else you can take their gun away from them. >> they won't get past .1. the go through the metal detector and the bags go to the machine. greg: was pure, civil discourse then came cnn town hall which was not. >> can you tell me right now that you will not accept a single donation from the nra? >> your comments this week and those of our president have been pathetically weak. >> i want to explain to you -- >> i want to be allowed the opportunity which is why i am here. let me answer the questions. let me answer the question for you can shut me down when i'm finished to let me answer the question. >> wait a second. >> if i can't hear her statement, i can't come up with a rebuttal. greg: i don't know cnn, is doing and heckling creating dialogue why not hand out tomatoes, too.
1:17 am
but you got what you wanted in a jerry springer spectacle that widen the divide on doing any goodwill made during the day. the fact is if you want more people to buy guns that did the trick. by treating the guest like guilty parties suddenly a law-abiding person is a killer by association. it's a pattern in the media grabs a hot issue in inflames it. remember their police shootings narrative. the media slather that issue with emotion and half-truths greeting a recursive wage spiral. the result was the police ended up pulling back in crime jump in some cities and that somehow shocked the media. meanwhile, when is the practical solutions coming from the white house and this house. last week you mentioned the civil tag a database for madman based on police teachers and's testimony. if you're in that database, no guns, that's it. clearly very important people heard what tyra said, as well. >> when 911 happened the plane to the towers, airports changed forever. we got the tsa.
1:18 am
our children are getting hit. it's time to change the schools forever. there is a population out there and they didn't have the new staff out the last yourself for four-point to percent on employment for returning veterans in this country and 435,000 trained men who have eyes and ears and we need to have them at the schools. tsa needs to be at the schools. one way in, one way out. greg: a boy, do we need that. [applause] and we needed because we have learned of the failure so far. the fbi responding and the police not acting after many, many visits. officers not pursuing the madman. no wonder share israel deflected the wrath onto dana. >> i understand you are standing up for the nra and i understand that is what you are supposed to
1:19 am
do but you just told this group of people that you are standing up for them. you are not standing up for them until you say i want less guns. greg: amazing. it was those errors that led to trumps bluntness. >> a teacher would have shut the hell out of him before he knew what happened. greg: the media with smoke adapt that's what you get after a paralysis of analysis. rational solutions exist but the media clouded by their own bias act like they never heard of them before. instead they poke fun at trumps meeting notes so in the end compared trumps meeting and cnn's show trial. who emerges as the more objective name in news? maybe cnn should have had more notes. [cheering and applause] greg: colonel west, you are obviously a veteran and a congressman in portland's district and you are also on the nra board so you are like in the thick of this thing. >> and i own and on three and
1:20 am
our 15th. greg: what you make of this meeting? i thought it was cathartic but when i want to see in an event i got depressed. >> when i see share of israel he's in trouble. now we have come to find out that the sheriff's deputy that was there to protect that student and i understand there was one a school resource officer for school of 3000 and his whole duty is to protect those students who failed in his job now what is the criteria to have a school resource officer in a broward sheriff's officer for the more he knew about that surveillance video last week wednesday and why are we just now finding out about it. greg: i think he knew a lot of things at that time hall and that's why he turned it onto dana because there is, i believe, an officer at the school also had been to talk about this person for which
1:21 am
blows my mind. tyrus, i swear if you made that suggestion last week that i heard that suggestion almost verbatim all over the place about after 911. >> please send your checks to tyrus -- no, that's a common sense thing and i would hope there would've been more people but here is the thing. if you don't want solutions anyone arguments and that's pretty much what we learned this week. the mistake here's a perfect -- after we have people attacking the nra like it's a 9-foot monster. it's the people of the united states and american citizens who are the nra not the people getting attacked so you're attacking your own people and we need to figure that out real quick that that's not the issue. yelling and screaming about guns. i'm not a member of the nra but i will be joining asap come back i would like to be a part of that argument. motivated individual decides he's going to kill someone or a
1:22 am
group of people or a school or rape a woman that motivated individual is going to accomplish it however. unmotivated individual and in this case, it's a deputy who had at least two firearms and shotgun in his car and none of those guns saved anyone because he was not motivated and those guns cannot float across the school and stop because the man who had those guns was unmotivated, lazy and afraid. when you're a motivated human being is country you could do terrible things. if that is your mindset but the only way we stop that is by having teams of trained, motivated individuals will intercept you. there's no other way about it. [applause] >> most people don't know who steven will afford is. he was the former nra trained weapons instructor returned fire against the assailant in the springs with an ar 15 but it so interesting you never hear that type of story that the failure
1:23 am
of united states air force and also the federal authorities that did not supply the information that that assailant who had a dishonorable discharge from the air force number two was convicted of domestic violence and the person that saved that carnage was someone with an ar 15 trained through the nra. greg: and that is why i feel so strongly about it. simple database but i want to ask kat, as a libertarian would you budget a little on gun rights? >> no. not at all. watching that townhall i can't help but think so many people are going to make the mistake of watching that and think the
1:24 am
audience there represents america because it does not represent america. there are still very many people in america who understand the constitution and understand the second amendment exist not just to protect ourselves but also for protection of our liberty against a tyrannical government and you can't forget that. you can't let the left to bully you or shame you or shout out you are a murderer and make you feel bad and let us give that up because it is too important to give that up. [applause] greg: all right. last word. three. >> i interviewed dana about her experience and she said it was set up like a wwe spectrum. she had to walk in between -- [laughter] this is her account of what happened. they had payment music for each of the panelists were coming out and they had to walk out between the audience and sit out on stage and it was this whole thing and you could read her full remarks at the federalist .com and listen to what she had to say about that. just the way they set it up was
1:25 am
apparent that cnn was not about real solutions as tyrus said it was creating this big smack down on tv for ratings. greg: it was the least attractive thing besides a mob is instigating a mob. when you know because it's so easy to do and the cnn it cemented the divide that was meant to be defrosted and i saw the defrost happening that at that trouble event and then i saw it cemented again and people inherently good until they are in a mob and when that mob gets going anything can happen and that is what scares me. we have to move on but, all right, producer says please move

greg gutfeld show. greg: she's the former house speaker and her ideas couldn't be weaker. i speak of nancy pelosi who want to state listed a number of measures she thanks could curb illegal immigration. >> let's sit down and talk this through and see what makes sense, not from a commitment to a promise that we will build a wall in mexico will pay for it. that will never happen. let's talk about where a more serious structure might be necessary and were mowing the grass so people can't smuggle through the grass or technology, personnel. [laughter] greg: mowing the grass.
1:31 am
[laughter] that's a policy i can get behind. what is next? position lemonade stands on the rio grande? [laughter] make extra money for the kids. but, maybe the smell the grass advice is the kind of battle cry that democrats need to win big in 2018. it seems to be catching on. listen to this chance from one of her own latest townhall. greg: i am telling you it's there build the wall. i think they might even have a better ones. [inaudibl i don't think pelosi excited her dumb idea to get done so well.
1:32 am
we are going to pound this joke into the ground. [laughter] bre, i thought it was interesting that she thought illegal happened on the border and then she went off the rails. >> shocker. she's like your blind nine -year-old grandmother trying to use facebook. [laughter] you know what i mean? a few weeks ago she was like paycheck how do they work and here she is border walls, mowing grass, she doesn't know how any of these things work. this is probably my favorite thing she does. greg: kat, is this cliché of me to say this is a perfect comparison of democrats first republicans versus the alpha and the beta. you have republicans build a wall and demos are going mow the grass. that's fair. libertarian they would be -- >> i have to give her credit. i cannot think of an idea that
1:33 am
stupid if i thought all day long. [laughter] i'm serious. i'm not a fan of the wall and i don't think the wall will happen because it won't be enough votes for the wall. fences will not happen and i have a solution of removing the welfare incentives so we could save money twice. greg: good point. >> that's what i prefer to do. [applause] greg: instead of the wall, go to the wallet. we'll be right back. no, i'm getting. tyrus, i think okay this is an interesting point. i think it is weird she's associate cutting the lawn with mexico. if she were republican, no, if she were republican, if she were republican -- she would be branded a racist for linking mexico to lawn care because she probably sees mexico as cheap labor for her californian esta estate. >> good luck with that question. >> oh no, i got this.
1:34 am
[laughter] i know -- i can handle the stuff. first of all, has she ever been to the border? through california and arizona -- it's a desert, there's not a whole lot of grass. it's hot as hell and it's not too hard to see someone clean on the hot background so that's one. in two, yeah, it's trying to see who i can put this on days when i like. if john mccain, who i love, came out and said let's mow lawns that would be at. that would be it. he's telling them to cut grass. you know, she has -- forget all that. i said it time and time again. can you put a close-up? [laughter] democratic party, stop talking. deplorable's, crumbs, lawnmowi
1:35 am
lawnmowing. [laughter] greg: he is right. this is not a good look for the democrats to have an out of touch millionaire elitist because trump is a billionaire but he's not out of touch. >> no he's not. i want to follow that. i don't want her to shut up. i want nancy pelosi to continue talking because she is making all the commercial advertisements for september and october and into november for midterm election. [applause] greg: that is true. she's the gift that keeps giving. all right but a lovely lady, a lovely lady. i like to have coming positive to make people -- >> nice hair. greg: of next, a reporter advances the rush occlusion story by ambushing an elderly transporter. now that
1:36 am
1:37 am
1:38 am
1:39 am
1:40 am
greg: oh, not again. cnn so we know from that muller indictment that some pro- and anti- trump rallies were organized by the russians and the americans unwittingly purchase made meaning they went but didn't know russians were behind event. that's according to the federal indictment so when reminiscent act of a certain 1950s senate investigation watch as the cnn reporter shows up to trump supporters house and counter for promoting an event on facebook that turns out was put on by the russians. >> you are not russians. i don't go with the russians. >> that group was russian. >> i have nothing to do with the russians. >> apparently you did. >> know. >> maybe you didn't know it. >> oh please. those people that were with me were all trump supporters.
1:41 am
very much so. >> and all apparently following the direction of groups that were associated with russians greg: what the [bleep]. mccarthy, take it down a notch. anyway, do, your network cnn breathlessly covered the anti- trump rallies that were held after the 2016 election and guess who organized them, it wasn't menudo? instead of pointing fingers at the russians who did all this you are pointing fingers at each other which is exactly what the russians wanted. i just wish russia would spend
1:42 am
less time in our business and more time keeping their tanks up right. i'm not worried about the russians. colonel west, shouldn't cnn need to go -- you know when you get too involved in work you take a sabbatical shouldn't the entire network take a sabbatical and go on a carnival cruise. >> yeah, one of those carnival cruises where the engine goes kaput and they're stuck out at sea and we should not send resources or anything to get them back in. leave them out there it is so interesting to meet listening to this because the person that organizes these women's marches by the name of linda, she called for a jihad against the white house. nothing is said about that for the fact that the only people who have done collusion or ties
1:43 am
with russian, christopher steele, fusion gps, bruce orr, hillary clinton campaign and the dnc but yet they want to go harass some lady out there. greg: it's incredible. kat, i know you would hate this guy desperate well you don't know him but maybe you get to know him and you might like him but i'm thinking a new show called ambushed with cnn. they show up at a citizen's house and they chastised them on recycling and non- electric cars and maybe they have a trump bumper sticker. [laughter] >> leave the little old ladies trying to use the internet alone. [laughter] earlier that day she probably got all excited and she had a pop up on her computer said she one of three cruise to aruba and she probably replied to the e-mail like i have a rich relative in west africa and she said i'll be sent a million dollars. she's old and nice and she probably doesn't how to use the
1:44 am
internet. give her a break and leave her alone. [applause] greg: bre, again, i think this could be a good tv show. brian stelter who is the nation's hall monitor could posted. we go now. we go now to allentown, pennsylvania where we believe someone is watching porn. [laughter] >> usually the things that bother you most in other people are things that are problems with yourself and in this case, as you pointed out earlier cnn was the one that was pushing the russia they can use that they wanted to do and then they find this one lady is like did the same thing they did to away lesser degree and they're going wild and chasing after her. i think honestly cnn is totally fine with licking bottom up his boots. this is what russia wants. russia wants us to question our
1:45 am
electoral system in question one another and go after one another like that and they're completely happy to lick vladimir putin's boots if they get to throw a cheap shot a trump supporters. greg: tires the last word to you. >> i wish he would have come to my door. [laughter] let me see if i got the street. this breaking news was to her and her five friends who were playing cribbage and decided to go online and fill out a survey saying they supported the president, candidate trump, at the time. that is your story? does it matter where it came from? go call facebook. how could you let this happen? these women are playing cribbage or canasta or whatever they do and you allowed russians to send information. go after facebook. go after google. russia was on everyone's team.
1:46 am
that was the thing. they were sending all kinds of stuff out. he probably belong to something with that online dating after you've gone before you got there was probably by them. he ain't so clean either. i guarantee it. let's check your computer history. [applause] i bet there would be breaking news in their. [applause] greg: also, that would be funny to some people showing up at your house, tyrus. i would like that show. >> i'm going to welcome you in. sign here, sign here, thank you so much. get her done. greg: up next, don't miss our winter limits r

[cheering and applause] greg: that should be an olympic event. anyway, for more on this we go live to south korea and apparently we sent our newest correspondent, mike and michael to the games to give us a proper sendoff. mike, i had no idea that you were there.
1:52 am
>> there's a lot you don't know about me, greg. goodbye forever. greg: that was abrupt. i hope he is okay. i'm sure he's fine. impressions of felix, thoughts? good, bad, indifferent. >> no. i was stationed in korea back in 95 and i don't want to remember being in korea. i saw its college basketball season. good american sport. greg: kat, if you had to compete, what would you can be in. >> i wouldn't. i couldn't handle it but i did like that one year from the hungarians gear because she really was inspiration to us all that you can go to work and do a mediocre job and still rise to
1:53 am
the top. greg: that is true. all you have to do is call ancestry .com and find a relative and max that relative to the weakest country you can and then you can become an olympic athlete much like me, tyrus. i see myself as an olympic athlete who chose a different direction. >> you have been excellent at curling, low center to gravity. greg: and i'm good with the broom. >> okay. i like curling because of my weightlifting club we draw out teams and i got to be in this year and didn't go too well but i like the curling in here is the thing. you hit it right on the head. we have our own sports, now. olympics is not the same thing. people especially winter. it's cold. i'm not going to do so. we just don't feel of the great when they were superpowers and it was competition in technology but we have passed all that so

it's like backyard games like people just no one is really that's why it's on two and three in the morning. i don't know one person who said i'm calling in sick because i don't want to miss the lose tonight. greg: was in a 14 hour time difference? i just made that up. bre, it's hard to just make it not feel small because we have trump sports now. trump sports is 24730 wake up every morning and there's all these events and they are both sides to transport. people shouting yeah and others saying do and they're comparing them to hitler. he is our world power and their world power. >> yeah, i disagree with everyone on this panel when it comes to winter limits. they are my favorite olympics and i love watching figure skating. i wanted to be a figure skater
1:55 am
when i was little. the figure skating classes mostly for the outfits but i was really bad at it and learned quickly that it didn't work out. i love winter olympics. i think they are fun to watch and my favorite story was the story you mentioned about the red stripe of your company coming in in the clutch moment and providing a new bobsled with about letting team and next time someone tries to tell me that there were problems all point to that story.
