6:00 pm
enemy of smugness and group thinking. which is everywhere right now. good night from washington. sean hannity is next. hi, sean. >> sean: hi, tucker. great show as always. the polls are closed in the pennsylvania's 18th district special election. we'll have updates throughout the hour and what it means. we also have major developments breaking news. president trump scoring another big win after visiting california and viewing border wall prototypes. that means he's one step closer to fulfilling his campaign promise and yeah, building the wall. also tonight president trump blasting the governor of california and the liberal mayor of oakland for protecting criminal illegal immigrants that are posing a serious threat to you, the american people. we have all of that and plus self stunning new revelations about the clinton dossier tonight. according to a new book out today, barack obama's 2012 campaign, they hired fusion gps, the form that produced the phony
6:01 pm
russian dossier. they were doing op research on mitt romney and funneled it through the same law firm. we have all the details. former senior obama state department official victoria newland started the process for the fbi to talk to former british spy christopher steele. and steele what we learned doubted if the most salacious details and claims in his dossier about donald trump were even true. tonight we also exposed the anatomy of the russia lie and how democrats in the media created one of the biggest hoax in american history. they've been caught red-handed after the house intel committee concluded there's no evidence of trump russia collusion. and rex tillerson is out as the secretary of state. mike pompeo is in and the democrats interesting are threatening to block the first woman nominated to be the cia director. why? because of her history of being tough on terrorists. ed henry has a full report. that's all in tonight's breaking news opening monologue.
6:02 pm
all right. president trump's key campaign promise, build that wall, takes a major step forward today. the president toured border wall prototypes during a visit to san diego, california. let's take a look. >> if you don't have a wall system, you're going -- we're not going to have a country. there's a lot of problems in mexico. they have a lot of problems over there. they have the cartels and the cartels we're fighting the cartels and fighting them hard. nobody ever fought them like we fought them. we're looking very much at the wall with some see-through capability on the other side and solid concrete on top or steel and concrete on top. the round piece that you see here or you see clearly back there, the larger it is the better it is because it's hard to get over the top. it's really a deterrent from getting over the top. who would think? who would think. getting over the top is easy. these are like professional mountain climbers. they're incredible climbers.
6:03 pm
some of them they can't climb. >> sean: the president stressed the need for much tighter border security during a speech at a naval base in san diego. take a look at this. >> dangerous criminal and terrorist organizations seek to exploit our immigration system. i've just come from a trip to the border where i met with our wonderful border agents, border patrol and the ice agents. unbelievable people. and reviewed prototypes of a new physical wall that will protect our border and protect our country. but that wall will stop so much. we looked at the different prototypes. it was fascinating. we have two or three that really work. we had people trying to scale. we've done them every way. i'm a builder. what i do best is build. okay?
6:04 pm
>> sean: the president is blasting the liberal bastion of california and jerry brown and the liberal mayor of oakland for championing sanctuary policies that put criminal illegal immigrants before american citizens and their safety. watch this. >> i think governor brown has done a poor job of running california. they have the highest taxes in the united states. the place is out of control. you have sanctuary cities, criminals living in the sanctuary cities. and then the mayor of oakland notifies when ice is picking up criminals with criminal records and dangerous people. you'd say dangerous people. no, i think the governor is doing a terrible job running the state of california. >> sean: so the state of california is literally putting american lives in danger. why? because they won't follow the law, cooperate with federal immigration officials. they're trying to do their job. arrest illegal immigrant criminals and remove them from
6:05 pm
the country. this is a national security issue. democrats sadly are putting politics and subjecting americans to unnecessary dangers. if one american is the victim of a crime committed by people that have no business here in this country that we know committed other democrats, democrats in california will have to own that. what is so despicable about this is democrats continue to lie and misrepresent the facts when it comes to illegal immigrant crime. here hay couple of statistics that the left in this country don't want you to know about. according to the migration policy institute. 820,000 of 11 million illegal immigrants in america are convicted criminals. the u.s. sentencing commission has found illegal immigrants account for 13% of nonimmigration-related federal sentencing during the fiscal year 2016. that's despite the fact that these illegal immigrants only make up 3.5% of the population. it is a stunning number and that
6:06 pm
number only relates to federal sentences. it's much higher when you include convictions by state and local authorities. it's beyond shameful that the left democrats, jerry brown, the oakland mayor, ignored the data that is out there and they continue to protect criminal immigrants. liberals have no clue about what happens at the border. i've been done there. we have shown you. i've been from the rio grande, san diego, on horseback, all-terrain vehicles. look at me riding a horse. we've been on all over. boats and everything. i've seen the arrests of gang members. i've seen the drug tunnels and the warehouses and everything in between. in 2014, i sat in on border briefing about security with tox governor rick perry. in a seven-year period, illegals committed 642,000 crimes against texans alone. this is a serious problem.
6:07 pm
when are we going to put the safety of the american people first? watch this. >> the criminals have been responsible for 642,000 criminal offenses. look up there in the top left. sexual assault. close to 8,000 victims. >> 642,000 crimes -- >> since 2008. >> in texas. in texas alone. >> yes, sir. >> over 200,000. >> yes, sir. >> individuals, their criminal history reflects that they were committing over 642,000 crimes. >> that's the cost of not securing the border. >> sean: that's the truth about illegal crime in this country. number 1, they don't lie. the left does lie. that's sad. we sent a producer today to talk to protesters that were gathered outside of the area where president trump was reviewing the prototype walls. listen to what the protesters
6:08 pm
say. [chanting]. >> do we have an immigration problem in the united >> no. >> no? >> human beings have wandered the world since -- forever, since they crawled out of the swamp. >> i immigrated 40 something years ago from one of those [bleep] hole countries of trump's. i'm a very proud american. i'm here exercising my right to disagree with him. >> i remember when you could walk across back and forth to tijuana and san diego. and i think things were better then. >> i think donald trump is the most dangerous thing to happen to our country. i hate to say it, since world war ii and hitler. >> sean: really? here's another piece of key information the left wants to keep secret from you the american people. we like to tell you the truth
6:09 pm
according to the center for immigration studies. president trump's $18 billion border wall, it would pay for itself by reducing illegal immigrant crime. that means drugs coming across the border, reducing the number of federal benefits going to illegal immigrants that don't respect our sovereignty, don't respect our laws. also tonight, we have new bomb shell information about that clinton bought and paid for dossier. a new book called "russian roulette." it's meant to smear president trump but instead, it's confirming very key pieces of information that we've been telling you about. the daily caller obtained this book. they reported that barack obama's 2012 campaign -- this is fascinating -- they paid fusion gps $3 million for op research on mitt romney. the obama campaign, they were able to hide it -- get this -- by funneling payments to fusion
6:10 pm
gps through that law firm, that hillary used. this is the exact same thing that hillary clinton did except she and the dnc didn't pay $3 million. they paid over $12 million that used russian government sources and lies and propaganda. the daily caller is reporting on another piece of information from the book. christopher steele, former spy, openly doubted his own dossier to his friends. especially one of the biggest pieces of fake news from the dossier, he had no clue if it's true. i'm talking about the completely ridiculous still never verified fabricated story about donald trump and hookers at a ritz carlton in moscow urinating in the bed. so steele didn't think it was true. he included it anyway.
6:11 pm
hillary brought it. she gave to it the fbi. they didn't do their job. they never verified or corroborated. it's not only protocol but what the fisa law tells them to do. then they used it to secure a fisa warrant, the same thing that christopher steele didn't even believe, to spy on an opposite party candidate in an election year. they never told the fisa judge that the clinton campaign and the dnc paid for these unverified lies and nobody had any clue at all the it was true. the daily caller is identifying a key source behind the ritz carlton claim. turns out it's a foreign business man. the thing is sergei is telling the daily caller that the dossier is "garbage news." that wasn't hard to figure out. why didn't the fbi do it? the washington times reporting on another major revelation in the book. senior obama state department
6:12 pm
official, victoria newland gave the original approval for an fbi agent to meet with christopher steele about the fake news dossier. that means that the obama administration was directly involved. we also reached out to newland for comment. her spokesperson got back to us but never districted us. we were just districted too old interviews. this new revelation is a key piece of information. why? because it started the entire process of spying on a trump campaign associate and then ultimately the trump campaign. so how is it possible -- think about this -- in the united states of america, the fbi never corroborated this phony dossier with russian lies? it violated its observe protocols, the fisa law itself. this is a massive abuse of power. and by the way, the full scope of this is only slowly being
6:13 pm
revealed. it's only because a few of us are working hard to get you the truth. there's more explosive information that is going to come out in time. so i say to everybody out there, tick tok, stay with us. finally tonight, ranking democratic member on the house intel committee, adam schiff, we know he's proven to be a liar for over a year now. he's been orchestrating nothing short of a propaganda misinformation campaign against president trump to delegitimize him and hopefully take him out of office. by the way, vladimir putin would be proud of the work that schiff is doing. the russian's main goal was to sow political discord. that's what congressman schiff has been doing in this country nonstop. even though he's known the entire time no evidence, no proof whatsoever of russia-trump collusion. take a look at schiff's evolution over time on this issue. take a look. >> what do you have -- >> chris, i can't go into the
6:14 pm
evidence -- >> do you have something hard that you can't reveal? >> i can't reveal that, chris. >> of course there's one thing to say there's evidence. there's another thing to say we can prove this or prove it beyond a reasonable doubt or enough evidence to bring for a grand jury. >> i don't think we can say anything definitively at this point. >> last march you said you had more than circumstantial ed of treasonous collusion with russia. what were you referring to? be specific. if it's true, americans have the right to know a year later what that is. [applause] >> well, i certainly said that there's ample evidence of collusion. i never used the word "treason." only steve bannon has used that word. if you look at the facts that are already in the public domain, they're pretty damming. >> that mean he has no proof. good i don't know, megan mccain. and schiff is a national
6:15 pm
embarrassment and selectively been leaking like a faucet to try to damage and discredit witnesses that appear before the house intel committee. after republicans reached their findings, schiff races over to conspiracy tv msnbc where he wants a job to spin a new narrative. because the old narrative didn't work. watch this. >> it became apparent early on, from almost a year ago with the midnight run to the white house, the republicans on the committee viewed their job as protecting the president, not investigating what took place. essentially it's the intelligence committee majority saying we just rather not know if it's going to be bad news. that is a betrayal of the promise that was made that we would follow the facts wherever they lead. >> sean: 14 months you've been investigating this at the intel committee. what are you and your democratic colleagues doing?
6:16 pm
potting plants? what have you been doing? if you have the evidence? bring it forward. after that appearance on conspiracy tv, schiff is continuing to play politics with zero evidence that he can put forward. again, is this good for the country? take a look. >> last night the majority on the intelligence committee made the decision to prematurely shut down the russian investigation. the only authorized investigation in the house of representatives into what the russians did in the last election, what the u.s. government response was and the issue of any coordination or collusion with the trump campaign. that was a terrible disservice to the country and the american people and represented a reneging on the commitment that was made at the outset to follow the facts wherever they lead. >> sean: 14 months, no evidence and he wants to keep going. schiff is just an example of everything that is wrong in our modern day political system.
6:17 pm
he has no business being in congress. everything that comes out of his mouth is a lie. today, democrats on the house intel committee announced that they're going to continue the russia investigation on their own. they're going try to counter the findings from republicans. you think you would have known in 14 months. here with reaction, the stop story, geraldo rivera and former secret service agent, dan bongino. geraldo, i watch this every day. schiff is saying they ended the investigation early. we have the senate investigation, the house intel investigation, we have the senate investigation. people on their own and nobody has brought even a scintilla of evidence about collusion. how long do they get to lie to the country before enough is enough? >> this has been collusion
6:18 pm
illusion, sean. you have lead the charge. you have bun to show that the tail is wagging the donkey here, that there's no there there. you know, the fact that the republicans on the house intelligence committee have finally come to this conclusion. i suspect the senate committee will soon follow, and hopefully mueller, the special counsel will as well. it is clear now that if there was any proof that the president of the united states or the candidate prior to his presidency was colluding with a foreign power to rig the american elections after 14 months for goodness sakes, we would have understood and learned it. it's clear there is no proof of collusion because there was no collusion. you have spear-headed this. it's a fraud to continue this narrative. let's give them the benefit of the doubt. let's say there was real concern that this happened, that a foreign power did surveil and rig our election. we have discovered that that may
6:19 pm
have been true but it was not true that the president, the candidate, the president-elect was part of this conspiracy, sean. >> sean: dan, there comes a point, they really thought this happened. it's interesting how it boomeranged back. hillary paid for the russian lies and the dossier. the fbi got her off the hook because they rigged the inve investigation to her. fisa courts lie. the fact that that's there and you don't hear about it, it's beyond comprehension when they say they're supposed to be about finding truth and being fair, planed and objective. i don't see it. anywhere. >> yeah, sean. let me throw another little tidbit at you that will scramble your angst here. you mentioned something in the opening about victoria newland working at the state department a friend of the clintons who had a role in arranging this fbi christopher steele relationship. who is victoria newland?
6:20 pm
she was the chief of staff to a guy named strobe talbot. who is strobe talbot? a high-ranking guy in the clinton administration. who is his brother-in-law? cody sheerer who is working with sid blumenthal in libya to give information to the clintons about libya and the blumenthal operation was the second sort of information in addition to christopher steele that made up the dossier file which lied about donald trump. this is the clinton dossier, it's been a clinton scam the entire time. >> sean: i never thought it would be this bad. an article comes out, geraldo. you've been in this business a long time. i'm throwing you a 50th year on the area party. you've had a career that nobody can rival. i applaud you for it. when you see -- there's a picture. jill abramson. she keeps a obama doll in her
6:21 pm
purse for comfort. i'm like -- i can't wrap my arms around how sick and twisted and traumatized the left has been because we need to give them to a lot of people in the media. we need -- i'll buy a whole stock of obama dolls and send them to ever at cnn fake news and collusion between tv ms starting with liberal joe. he needs one of these bomb dolls to make him feel better. >> the fact of the matter is, they wanted this story to be true. let's say they're honest and motivated and professional and their hands are clean. but they cannot deny that they wanted the story of the m manchurian candidate to be true. they wanted it so badly that they continue to flog every little bit and to minimize the
6:22 pm
evidence that suggested that maybe they were off track here. >> sean: great reporting. thanks, geraldo and dan. when we come back, dan henry and sebastian gorka at the state department and the cia straight ahead. embrace the chance of 100% clear skin with taltz. for people with moderate to severe psoriasis, up to 90% had a significant improvement of their psoriasis plaques. with taltz, 4 out of 10 even achieved completely clear skin. don't use if you're allergic to taltz. before starting, you should be checked for tuberculosis. taltz may increase risk of infections and lower your ability to fight them. tell your doctor if you have an infection, symptoms, or received a vaccine or plan to. inflammatory bowel disease can happen with taltz, including worsening of symptoms. serious allergic reactions can occur. ready for a chance at 100% clear skin? ask your doctor about taltz. try it for as little as $5 a month.
6:23 pm
6:24 pm
6:25 pm
6:26 pm
>> sean: we have other big news out of washington. rex tillerson is out as secretary of state. president trump nominating current cia director mike pompeo to replace tillerson. the president has picked gina haspel, a seasoned spy master with a track record of being tough on terrorists. now haspel would be the first female director in cia history if she's confirmed. tonight there's talk on capitol hill that democrats may fight
6:27 pm
haspel's due to her involvement in overseas black sites that killed americans. ed henry will be filling in for shannon bream at 11:00 eastern. also with us, former deputy assistant to the president, dr. sebastian gorka. 3,000 americans were killed here. 3,000. if you do to gitmo, there were three people total that were ever water boarded in spite of all the debate. one was khalid sheikh mohammed. it led to the courier and that led to bin laden and that led to killing bin laden which without he probably would still be alive today. we can't have evil exist in this world without doing something to counter it. if it means that terrorists caught on a battlefield are
6:28 pm
forced to answer questions, well, sadly that's what you have to do because you're dealing with evil. >> so gina haspel was at the center of that in the bush administration. she spent time in turkey, central asia. she was running the new york office for the cia and a liaison to the fbi. in the obama years when sobin laden was killed, yes. and there's been a debate and even a bigger debate in the days ahead. chuck schumer said they will be asking sharp questions about the post 9/11. and some republicans like john mccain with tough comments saying she was involved in torture. they're going to give her a tough ride. bottom line, this is something that i've talked to people in the white house about. they say they're spoiling for this fight. in some democrats and
6:29 pm
republicans want to block president trump from nominating the first female to run the cia all because she was too tough on terrorists, that is a fight that they will have in a mid-term election year. >> sean: good luck taking that position. i guarantee you by the time said is done, they'll back off of that. i know mike pompeo for a lot of years, dr. gorka. i like him. he has a tough job. he did a good job as a cia director. he had a lot of mess to clean up. i'm not sure how far he's gotten in that. the thing i like about pompeo, you're always able to have a conversation with him and he will listen, whether you agree or disagree. with rex tillerson, i never talked to him once. he was never available for the media and add odds on the iranian policy of the president. president trump never wanted to extend that iranian deal once but he was fighting within his own -- in this place case, state department.
6:30 pm
>> absolutely. i have the same opinion of mike pompeo as well. not only is he loyal to the president, not only does he believe in the make america great again agenda, he will go down fighting to clean the swamp. he's done some amazing things at the cia. i can think of no better person to clean the real swamp that is foggy bottom in the state department. not only does he listen to other people, my personal experience, mike also reaches out for good counsel from people that are outside the swamp. so rex failed at the state department. he isolated the political appointees from the front office. he didn't return calls from our ambassado ambassadors. it was time for him to go. i can think of very few people that will be as great in foggy bottom as mike pompeo. >> sean: what is his reputation on capitol hill, ed? >> very strong. he was a tea party republican. he came in and was seen as more of a conservative but reached across aisle a bit.
6:31 pm
first in his class at westpoint. somebody that a lot of people raise their eyebrows of. this tea party going to be able to run the cia? by all accounts, we haven't heard maybe a single democrat really raise questions about that. the bigger question is, is he going to be too close to the president compared to tillerer son and be more of a yes man. tillerson was at adds on all of these things. >> sean: one last question for dr. gorka. you look at the house intel report. no evidence 14 months in of trump russian collusion and they want to keep going and going and going. then you have a special counsel that appears nothing is related to trump russian collusion that he's investigating. >> let's focus on two things here. number 1, mike pompeo will never be a yes man. that's not a criticism we have to worry about. secondly, they're just insane.
6:32 pm
listen to the news -- i did an interview earlier today where they're talking about rex tillerson was fired because he said something negative about putin yesterday. i was told by a cabinet member, sean, in december that the plan is to have mike pompeo replace rex tillerson at the state department. that's three months ago. that's reality. >> sean: good to see you. ed, we'll be watching tonight. ed henry filling in for shannon bream. i have a minute my monologue for people like louis farrakhan and hillary clinton and democrats that support these kind of people. we're awaiting the election results in pennsylvania in the 18th congressional district. we'll follow that ahead. hands go here... feet go here... you know what goes here...
6:33 pm
and your approval rating... goes here. test drive the ztrak z540r at your john deere dealer and learn why it's not how fast you mow, it's how well you mow fast. nothing runs like a deere. save 250 dollars when you test drive and buy a john deere residential z540r ztrak mower.
6:34 pm
6:35 pm
6:36 pm
>> sean: all right. for decades, the left, what have
6:37 pm
they i'm employed? identity politics to divide america. the race card, the gender cars, rich versus poor. these are all tactics that the left uses in order to claim the moral high ground. this despicable strategy is build on a foundation of lies. democrats have palled around with one of the most racest, lucifeis fair can. and hillary clinton is insulting every woman that voted for trump. we'll break that down there the mini monologue. so louis farrakhan purports to
6:38 pm
be a great leader. in reality, he's a small-minded bigotist. this includes eight members of congress and even a barack obama was pictured with louis farrakhan. they made no american saw that picture. that picture never saw the light of day. tonight we're asking one obvious question. if these democrats really cared as they say about combatting racism, equality, why would they have ties to that vile human being. take a listen. >> the jews don't like farrakhan, so they call me hitler. that's a good name. hitler was a great man.
6:39 pm
the satanic jews, they control everything and mostly everybody. there were many israelis and zionist jews in key roles in the 9/11 attacks. because you see white people deserve to die. and they know so they think it's us coming to do it. caucasian means weak blooded, weak boned, steal faced. what the indians call a pale man. there's no human being on earth that has murdered more living things than the caucasian. he's a murderer and a liar. but when we die and they die, then soon we're going to sit at
6:40 pm
a table and talk about retired. we want some of this earth. we're going to tear this country up. >> sean: tear the country apart. even more bigoted comments made by farrakhan, a house resolution condemning hem. members of congress that have ties to farrakhan calling them the hateful farrakhan eight. where are the democrats calling for ellison, waters and others to explain their ties to this bigot racist an anti semite? you want hear outrage from liberals on this topic. why? it doesn't help them politically. that's sad. and then you have hillary clinton in india over the weekend. hillary made no mention of farrakhan. instead, she supervised up a big cup of democratic politics while
6:41 pm
slamming they're deplorables, people that voted for president trump with a special slam for white women. really? watch this. >> we don't do well with white men and we don't do well with married white women. part of that is an identification with the republican party and a sort of ongoing pressure to vote the way that your husband, your boss, your son, whoever, believes you should. >> sean: how insulting are those remarks? in her mind, all white women who voted for trump only listen to men. you think she should apologize? joining us with more, tommy and kathy are here. is farrakhan a racist and anti-semite? >> yeah, absolutely.
6:42 pm
>> what about the democrats that are friends with him, take pictures with him? >> in 2005 -- >> sean: no, no, no. >> he's a nonplayer in politics. >> sean: let me -- he's been known anti-semite. >> he's old news. >> sean: and a known racist and he made these remarks last week and they won't say a negative word about him. >> sounds like president trump. a racist living in the white house. doesn't sound different. >> sean: what is racist? >> oh, mexicans are rapists and murders. that was about a year ago. more current than farrakhan. farrakhan was 25. >> sean: he never -- if you have to lie to make a point on this program -- >> lie? he didn't say that? >> sean: you know what? i went down to texas -- >> some? latinos are racists and murders? >> sean: he said some. some are.
6:43 pm
some. many come here because they want opportunities. some come here and they commit crimes. >> all right. >> sean: kate steinly, for example. let's bring in tomy. >> i thought the left was on the moral high grounds. i thought you would be the first to condemn language like this. goes to show the left, the democrats, they're not anti-bigotry, they're not anti-racism. they're just anti-trump. this is shown -- >> i did condemn it. >> you can't admit it. all you do is talk about trump. >> i didn't support him. i said trump is exactly like the person that you're portraying here. >> will the other -- you're comparing the two? >> yes. >> that shows how delusional you are. you're comparing the two. >> sean: tomi, she made up something that trump said. many people come here from countries because they want hope and opportunity. when i sat through that briefing i showed earlier, tomi, 642,000
6:44 pm
crimes committed against texans by illegals and some of those crimes were murder. >> so -- >> they will not admit that. they will not admit the actual quote and they shouldn't be here. do you agree? >> the racist and murders -- >> sean: no, he never said those words ever. >> he said some are good people. some are not. that's the truth. >> sean: why do you have to make it up -- >> he's so pro hispanic. >> sean: why didn't you say they should denounce farrakhan and stay away from him? >> it's like saying that republicans should get near david duke. >> sean: i wouldn't go near him. >> nobody is getting near farrakhan. >> sean: there's eight congressman that won't -- >> they're not getting paid by him or hanging out with him. >> sean: you have to be paid by the racist but you can hang out with him -- >> they have nothing to do with this person. old photos. >> joe concha when we get back.

6:49 pm
>> sean: all right. welcome back to "hannity". i have said journalism in america is dead and it's been buried since 2007. once again, this proves my point. let's start with the media's coverage of the house intill committee. they released a report that says there was no collusion. >> russia tried to interfere in the election on behalf of donald trump. yet they claim in this report made for talk radio that that wasn't the case.
6:50 pm
why did they lie when everybody knows they're lying? >> surprised? no. outraged? yes. for the reason that is this should be something from the get-go that is bigger than partisanship. >> if this report were written on toilet paper i wouldn't wipe my [bleep] with it. >> sean: and the media was quick to slam president trump's new cia secretary. >> she was involved with torture after september 11 and destroying the video tapes. that could be problematic. >> no question. she was involved in one of the most difficult controversial error -- eras in the cia. >> and worse, gina haspel has a real history with enhanced interrogation in the cia. >> doing torture. who does that benefit?
6:51 pm
