this is why between texas and california. if texas wants to make this big southern california businesses they've tougher on illegal immigration, that's up to them. now for california, i agree that grips helped the economy. they make cities and communities better. if that's the case and california wanteds to provide entitlements on their own of free and federal funding, then them make that decision >> interesting way looking at that time. >> i think that's exactly the way you should be looking at it and to remember, illegals get arrested at lower rates. there's a false argument out there that illegals -- >> i know i will see it all over social media. lower rates, talk to me about that >> they don't commit as many crimes as natural born citizens. yet they are vilified as a community. they hype up stories like the terrible tragedy what happened to kate steinle. >> you're saying illegals commit

9:09 am
>> the republicans pulled out all the stops. at the end of the day, it of cos back to this, they have to learn to pick good candidates. they got if get good candidate who where really to work hard and win races. the other thing i do think it's a real problem for democrats. the fact that you have a guy that could not get nominated for anything on the national level as a democrat and actually actively ran against nancy pelosi to win. >> it's true republicans running against each other. because the person there would get primaried. >> what happens if he gets primaried in november? conor lamb. you can see something go for a left and beat him with a sneeze. >> i don't know. we know that the seat is going away. pa18 won't exist. he's beginning to run in a new seat. conor lamb gets primaried by a bernie progressive in a place

largely similar that it in favor of trump's tariffs. >> it has a lot of democrats. that's what this had too. >> they are union democrats. conor lamb did something that democrats haven't been able to accomplish. complete union support. talking about pro life positions. >> that runs in contrast what howard dean said about being pro choice and candidate will not receive money from the dccc if they were going to run pro-life. >> i think it's regrettable to deny any democratic candidate who uphold our principles. you can be politically pro-choice. conor lamb saying he ran as a republican, he didn't. he ran on strengthening the aca, protecting medicare and esocial security. he was pro union. for the tariffs which is long term. >> he ran as a central right on local issues. which is something that republicans and democrats can
9:11 am
internalize. there has to be level of authenticity. >> i love that you used that word authenticity. does that apply to conor lamb? >> you won't find out until he votes. that was the slam. i don't think that even matters in the sense everybody saying this is doom for republicans. it can't be copied. anywhere else a democrat would show up and take it away from conor lamb. conor lamb was running as a republican. >> that can happen in november. >> i don't think that will happen. he wasn't as republican. he was running as conservative democrat from pennsylvania. >> is this what democrats do in the midterms? if there are seats that were won by trump in that district in double digits are democrats there giving some distance to run much further to the right? >> i don't think they will.
9:12 am
i don't think they can help themselves. they love to make these -- have people that lose passionately. other problem here, this is problem for republicans, to me most interesting test was, can donald trump bring somebody across the line if it's name isn't on the ballot. that's real problem for republicans. it didn't work here. his name is not going to be on the ballot come november. they have to figure out how to get those voters motivated for other people. >> we'll watching to see how conor lamb does his job. >> let's do this fox news alert. students across the nation have been staging walkouts to protest gun violence. one month after the shooting of marjory stoneman douglas high school. 17 people per rished that day. more than 3000 schools are
