boomerang. our top story after months of ringing the alarm about the abuse of power the face fisa court system, the doj inspector general announced plans to investigate alleged foreign intelligence surveillance. the clinton bought and paid for dossier filled with russian government lies and misinformation was used to extend a fisa warrant on carter page and how circular reporting from yahoo citing the phoney dossier was used by the fbi to strengthen their case against page. shocking conflicts of injury. we are finally one step closer to getting to the bottom line truth in what is the biggest

abuse of power scandal in the history of this country. of course, we deserve to know the truth. we are revealing the real and ever present danger to have the powerful tools of intelligence used against the american people. i then is slow. i know this is slow and frustrating. we are making serious progress. accord to the doj, the inspector general said in part, quote: this is interesting. additionally, they will review the doj's fbi's relationship relating to the fisa court applications.

they must answer these questions. just a few of many. what did the fbi know about the steele dossier and when did they know it? what was the fbi's relationship with a foreign national with christopher steele who used russian sources? was the fisa warrant against carter page politically moteviated. my message tonight to the fbi and doj is turn over the 1.2 million documents that congress subpoenaed. it's time to appoint the special because you cannot ever investigate yourself. this brings us to our income breaking story. congressional investigators from the freedom caucus have unearthed even more texts between peter strzok and lisa page. there are over 50,000 texts. this is but a small sampling of what they believe could reveal

damning new evidence that the fbi, the obama white house and the cia and the intel community were all working together in order to open up a politically motivated trump russia collusion investigation. why this is important. according to one text message from peter strzok to lisa, he made a reference to the first meeting discussing coordination between the fbi and the doj. this is that strzok writes. the congressional investigators believe this is evident that the fbi and doj meant to discuss the russian election hacking

investigation. august 25th, 2016. harry reid with brennan about russian attempts to influence the election. then he send a letter to james comey urging him to open an investigation into donald trump. he wrote at the time: after the letter became public, strzok texted page a link referencing the letter, writing here we go. next the fbi used that letter as legitimate cover for their investigation into russia collusion and as part of the fisa warrant application against carter page. a trump campaign associate. that gets them all of the emails and right into the heart of the

trump campaign. in other words, this was a coordinated effort to spy and bring down and tarnish the trump campaign. sarah carter and the house intel chairman will be here tonight and explain this to you. while we bring you information on the deep state forces working to take down the president and make sure president trump never got elected, the fbi is stone walling the american people and congress when it comes to requests for documents relating to 3 important topics including clinton's email server and fisa abuses and why mccabe was fired from the fbi. the release of documents has been extraordinary slow. as a matter of fact, it almost sounds like obstruction to me. so slow that the house judiciary chairman should a subpoena.

the attorney general jeff sessions is absolutely livid with the fbi director wray. give us these documents. in response, director wray promised to double the amount of staff working on releasing the documents and he will double up their shifts. is this too little too late? should a contempt of court order be issued if the fbi doesn't comply with the subpoena? another top story. the media eruptd ed into a frenzy today over a story in the "new york times" speculating that "trump's lawyer raised the problem of pardons for general flynn and paul manafort." one tiny little problem with this story. it's fake news. one of trump's lawyer cobb put out a statement that reads:

didn't know there was an investigation of donald trump, candidate for president, is to believe in the tooth fairy. >> sean: does that make him a witness? >> absolutely. >> sean: he should be subpoenaed? >> he should be. here's the problem with all of the subpoenas for the department of justice and the fbi. they should have been held in contempt already because they have been stone walling for a long time. jeff sessions awakened from his slummer and told christopher wray hand over the documents. we trust them to hand over documents. >> sean: rosenstein didn't want to turn over the 3,000 that led to the nunes memo and to the gram memo and america knowing about fisa abuses which was broke in march of last year.

march 8th, 2017. >> that's why there should be a special counsel and a grand jury and not subpoenas should. a warrant to go in and seize the documents. don't let the doj and the fbi decide which ones to turn over. they will hide them. get a warrant. seize them. bring in federal marshals. don't let the fbi police themselves. >> sean: congressman, you have experience in this. i am looking at the process. i know the wheels of justice grind ever so slowly here. when you put all of this together. hillary clinton fixes a primary. comey, strzok, page, mccabe and lynch and others rigged the investigation into her email server. we know she committed a felony.

then pays for a phoney russian dossier that a foreign national puts together. the fbi doesn't verify it. it turns out to be false. they present it to a fisa court judge and omit that she paid for it and never verified it. it's like pulling teeth to get truth out of the department of justice and the fbi. how do we get the 1.2 million documents? how do we get the special counsel to investigate all of this garbage and all of this corruption? >> july of 2016, director comey declared this was a closed case. there is no excuse to hide these documents. the oversight committee asked for those documents and they renewsed to give them. i should a subpoena in september of 2016. that's how far back this go. august of 2017.

nunes fed up and issues a subpoena. now 2018, the chairman, a subpoena. >> sean: wait a minute, when they did they first ask for it? >> i asked for it in july of 2016 and issued a subpoena. >> sean: how do they get to ignore a subpoena? how do people get away that they could not keep me out of jail for? >> if you look at what the attorney general and the department of justice put out, they said they will review this request. a subpoena is not a request. if you were asked a subpoena and said i would take that under consideration -- everybody watching this program would go to jail. >> sean: what if i deleted it or acid washed my hard drive?

>> that's why you need a special prosecutor will investigate these people. the only way congress can enforce a subpoena is through the department of justice. there is no avenue to get directly to a court. >> sean: i am happy the inspector general will investigate. we have been covering this forever. does that mean we have to wait another 4 months for the insp t inspector general report on the email server? >> i think that will come out much sooner. >> sean: but it's delayed another month? >> it has been. what we have to realize is within the department of justice there are multiple on-going investigations into the fisa abuse. into mccabe. i believe into former fbi director james comey himself who

now has a book coming out. he is going on this tour. that will be interesting to see how that plays out. there is a lot of information that needs to be investigated. i absolutely agree with the other guests here on the show. we need a special counsel to do this investigation. they need to have somebody who can subpoena to get the information they need from the fbi and the doj. there is no other way around it. we built a special counsel investigation into a president based on a guy at a bar george papadopoulos. there is enough evidence here to open up a secondary special counsel. it's overwhelming evidence that there was something going on here between officials at the fbi and doj. >> sean: 3 of the 6 people who were on this deceiving the court and concealing evidence, 6

felony statutes are not subject to the jurisdiction of the independent counsel. a special counsel can. with respect to these documents, if it were you or me, they will be knocking our office or home door and break in if we didn't answer. armed with a warrant. they would seize the documents you have to have a warrant and seize them. >> sean: rob rosenstein -- forget about 1.2 million documents, congressman. he didn't want to hand over 3,000. it was subpoenaed. in the last hours, on bended knee begging paul ryan don't force us to do this. which is we would not have learned about a lot of it. he appointed the special counsel rosenstein and it appears that

washington posts of text messages. we informed the department of justice we were looking at them for fisaa and other matters. they produced some of the text messages. they said that's all we needed. a couple of weeks ago the conversation between strzok and page talking about the fisa court judge. that's something the house intelligence committee is interested in. now the text messages you are talking about, i have not seen them. now that you have them, we will have to try to look through all of this to piece together what is appears -- >> sean: do you agree with what

sarah and i believe? >> i talked to a few members of congress today. these are people who don't follow this closely. not on the house intelligence committee but follow it by the news. they were shocked and used expletives. they could not believe that the obama white house was briefed by the fbi on an investigation into the trump campaign. they could not believe it. i think that's the reaction you are gel from most publics of congress that care about this issue, at least the republicans and the american people. it continues to stink. >> sean: obviously obama knew. obviously use rice knew and james comey informed. this is a sticky point. january of 2017 president-elect trump was told by james comey the dossier is salacious and
