to test against himself and i don't think the foreign minister will. if congress doesn't like it, they can repeal it. we have to have fairness. the laws have to apply to everyone. jillian: right. rob: let's listen to chairman of the arm forces committee talking about the whole situation. >> i'm not necessarily opposed to sticking with the deal forever, you need to have clear idea of next steps, maybe the best thing for the president to delay a bit more the deadline of this month and put the french and the british up to the test about whether it is possible to get this other sort of agreement. rob: so christian, hearing his side, and that was from yesterday, when you look at this thing, i think what it is is that you have all of the different voices saying, we need to stay in the deal, all of europe, most democrats, a lot of republicans too, what bothers the american people and what i think bothers the trump administration, we enter deals and we negotiate with the horrible countries that hate us and we try to basically pay them

to play nice, i mean, that boths people. >> right, and the american people know exactly what the iranian regime is about. we may have iranian moderates that we can reach out to but iranian government has been at war with the united states. the idea is to move beyond this appeasement pact to be able to put tougher sanctions on iran if they do violate, you know, build up a nuclear arsenal or do other things that are harmful to us. so also, you know, the president was clear, he took the side of the iranians who were in the streets protesting the regime and so those are the fundments of big and important policy. jillian: christian, we have to let you go, what do you think ends up happening? >> i think the president pulling out. it looks like it's heading in that direction.

calling into question whether this investigation should even exist. first in i indictment of paul manafort, the judge in that case is visorated the mueller team saying they didn't have the scope of looking into the manafort case and the judge went so far to say that robert mueller's team was overly political in this going after manafort in order to get to trump using some old tax evasion statute to do so. so i think that very bad weekend for mueller special counsel team. jillian: josé you made mention a couple of minutes about letting the investigation go, but how long in your opinion should this be taking until the public eventually says, we kind of don't care anymore because there's other things going on in the country in. >> sure, that's true, we have the med terms coming up as well and that might have some sort of -- we have to be careful. we have to let the voters decide

what happens in the midterm but to your question, how long should this take, look, as long as there's evidence, robert mueller needs to ask questions to the president, hopefully that happens, hopefully they don't try to resist. i did see rudy giuliani that they would deny any subpoena from the special counsel, we have to see what happens. democrats just as much as republicans want this to end as soon as possible but we need to get to the bottom of it. >> i like josé, just like audiotape democrat he wants it to take as long as it could take because the -- >> that's not true. >> look, mueller better be careful here, there was a new quinnipiac poll that showed the american people are tiring of the russia probe, mueller's own political favoritism is down 10 points, it's moving in trump's direction 5 to 7 points. this is about as interesting as the midterm races go when you look at approval ratings of both mueller and trump here,

definitely moving in trump's direction and the american people souring on the special counsel. jillian: we had two incidents in the last couple of days, we talked about the russian troll farm case but a separate judge in a hearing for paul manafort suggested that mule --'s team lied, what do you think about that? >> i don't think he necessarily lied. this judge is obviously looking at the evidence and making his own decision but i don't think he lied. robert mueller is very well respected from both sides of the aisle, look f trump has nothing to hide, sit down with robert, answer the questions and we will get to the bottom of it. jillian: do you think that president trump should sit down and answer the questions? >> look, if they weren't setting a trap for him i would think that would be fair but there's to guaranty that the special counsel would be fair, look, i think what's really key here is watching this all play out. they've had unfettered access to this.
