senator lindsey graham, pastor john hagy and others to discuss the new embassy in the complex on the ground. first, my opening statement. we do join you tonight during a truly historic moment in israel's history. one that calls for great celebration. this week, not only has president donald trump chosen to withdraw from the disastrous obama iran nuclear deal, we are here on the eve of the momentous opening of the american embassy in jerusalem. a move that recognizes jerusalem as the capital of israel. i move greatly appreciated by the people of israel as evidenced on street corners everywhere we went. president trumps a pullout from

the iran deal, although suspected became a virtual certainty when the prime minister proof through israel's intelligence agency that iran have been lying to the world when it was continuing uranium enrichment. documents are proof positive that iran lied. what a shock. on the day of the withdrawal from the iran deal, bomb shelters opened up in the golan heights. the israeli army was on high alert is israel brace for imminent attacks. as we proceeded, there were no sirens, school buses and taxis continue to run. but that night we had the unequivocal sound of rockets and at breakfast we found out that indeed, there was a rocket towards israel from inside syria. israel responded with strategic

precisions targeting munitions, storage warehouses, logistics, and intel systems of iran within syria. israel does what israel needs to do. today, iranians are marching against the united states, protesting presidents trumps decision to withdraw from the nuclear deal. maybe they should consider protesting $150 billion obama gave them in cash was not used to benefit them, but instead used to support nuclear development and military budget which has grown by 40%. now, obama's iran deal, make no mistake, destroyed 70 years of bipartisan u.s. foreign policy. his delusional do abandon israel and egypt, the largest arab

country and alienated the sunni region, guaranteeing that they would face a nuclear iran. iran a leading state-sponsored terror, experts dangerous missiles and supports terrorist proxies a malicious like has blood, and the taliban. the i idea that it has a successful nuclear program is absurd to anyone with half a brain. as obama turned his back on the slaughter of christians, he allowed russia, through this vacuum to become a dominant regional player in the middle east. donald trump's withdrawal was the united states standing shoulder to shoulder with our ally, israel against the rest of the world. it sent a huge signal to iran and shia muslims that we stood with more moderate sunnis.

and the we joined earlier about taking out weapons, they chose tish stand against israel and the united states. trump has reassured the world that his word is worth more than any former u.s. presidents like bill clinton, george bush, and barack obama, who all promised to move the embassy to jerusalem but didn't deliver. his word is worth more than any treaty. he promised, and he delivered. trump not only sent a message to iran, but russia as well. the u.s. i is back after the oba years. he recognizes that everyone else in the west blinds themselves too, that jerusalem is the one and only capital of israel. by trump putting this like

history for the last 3000 years. and that is jerusalem has been the capital of one people's country or one kingdom. that people is the jews, and that country is and was israel. the empires that tried to destroy israel are long gone. yet they still speak the same language and practice the same religion which is the foundation of our judeo-christian religion. donald trump sent them a message to reflect on their own history. and that it was the king of persia who thousand years before mohammed was born that said

jerusalem was the capital of the jewish people's country. there will be no shia nations that will destroy jerusalem any longer. donald trump recognize history. he, like king cyrus before him to fulfill the biblical process of the gods worshiped by jews, christians and muslims. that jerusalem is the eternal capital of the jewish state, and the jewish people finally deserve a righteous, free, and sovereign israel. that's my open. tell me what you think. joining me know with reaction to my opening statement in the historic embassy open his u.s. ambassador to israel, ambassador david freeman. thirty thing i said in my open not correct we didn't agree with? >> you hit the nail on the head. i am in agreement with everything you said. in particular, i appreciate you connecting the decision on iran with the president's decision to

move the embassy. they are driven to a similar approach to foreign policy by the president. commitment to the truth, and the facts rather than helpless fantasies. and to place in the united states and the central role in the world especially to align activity with the entire world. >> jeanine: why with the other presidents, why did they say they were going to do it and then not? >> they harbored this fantasy that somehow the line activity with somehow end with a handshake and some extension of friendship. obama's we was that we will welcome iran back into the community of nations and what it will somehow reform. they reformed through yemen, they now control part of the in iraq, syria and lebanon and are now the primary risk to the

stability of the entire middle east. >> jeanine: some say the decision by the u.s. is something that will work against the peace process. why do they say that? >> there is no basis. but the president did was say to the palestinians, you do not have a veto on a historical fact. on keeping a promise which is not just a presidents promise, this is a law since 1995 passed by both houses of congress. he says we're going to do it and not be held hostage by a rogue regime telling us what we can connect to. that's an important message the peace process.

they cannot play these cards that have no basis or reality. >> jeanine: what you expect to see a monday when the embassy opens? >> a beautiful ceremony. i'm excited. we will have an inspirational moving ceremony. the president was excited. he will be there a video. we'll have great rhetoric from great speakers. jared kushner will speak, and you will see america at its best showing is great friendship to israel. >> they were showing on the screen all of the signs going up in jerusalem and saying that this is the u.s. embassy in english, arabic and hebrew. to so many people, and i'll talk about this later and's street justice it has created a great deal of pride. >> the state of israel is in

>> good evening. it's good to be with you. although you are in jerusalem and i am in tel aviv. we will make up for tomorrow. >> jeanine: i'm sure we'll see each other at the opening of the embassy. as i read in the introduction, there has been a lot of years of global diplomacy that preceded this time. what you think brings us to the point in time we can actually get the start? >> what president trump has delivered is not just keeping a promise, which is quite unusual, but delivering leadership. we live in a world with very little leadership. there's very little leadership in europe and elsewhere. president trump has delivered that leadership over and over again. he is done it by deciding to move dempsey to jerusalem by pulling out of the horrible and cynical deal with iran, by next

month's meeting the leader of north korea, when you look at these achievements in a short time, i think he is not just keeping promises, but making history. >> jeanine: you are israel's ambassador to the united nation. the united nations will not recognize jerusalem as the capital of israel. the question is is united nations even relevant anymore? >> i think it is relevant only because it is the parliament to the world. the only place when 193 countries gather and discuss the fate of the world. but it's making a difference in his for his israel is concert they are a citadel of hypocrisy,

not just double standard but triple stander. and a special stander for israel to which it devotes a lot of time in a very hostile way. and therefore as far as the world is concerned in our region it's very irrelevant at the moment. >> when you say is the citadel of hypocrisy, part of me that believes in that regard should be irrelevant. but the united states funds almost one quarter of the united nations budget. should we be doing that? i think there is a necessity for parliament with the nations.

and they may not be doing the right thing, but i think there ways of changing it. when i was there, i found important ground for multilateral and bilateral talks with countries that do not recognize israel. there is a huge discrepancy between what the ambassadors of the countries tell you in private what they sam public. i think we can make inroads. we've had a lot of achievement. i believe the united states should give it to trump but also lead the world in a direction it sees fit. >> thank you for joining us. >> jeanine: joining in israel is the former deputy foreign minister of israel a former ambassador to the u.s. good evening ambassador.

>> it's great to be here in our capital, jerusalem. >> jeanine: it's such a historic time. your experience in the foreign ministry. over the time you are working, you saw hypocrisy that we talked about, even more than that, the history that precedes not just the present withdrawing for the the iran till but the identification and recognition by the united states that jerusalem is the capital of israel. >> it's momentous. it's historic resolution and decision that will change the course of history. it was very courageous. he is the first president after so many who promised and did not make good on their promises. it is also a beacon for the rest of the world.

other countries will follow suit. we know summer coming in. >> i said in my opening statement that with the obama administration there was a vacuum created. russia was able to establish itself as a regional player. now, with our withdrawal, we reestablish ourselves as a dominant player. yet, iran through syria took on itself, can we expect more of this? >> we may. analyzing iran and their conduct since the ayatollahs took over, they are not confronting head on. so they will fight to the last man. when they start confronting us directly you see results. they're getting beaten hard. so at this point they are not

much and they would use more proxies. but the way to handle iran is isolation. more and more of that all the sunni countries are against them. >> you have to learn from history. look at the 67 war. the israelis did not started. yet they started to control and then take over. they have annexed that land. they should therefore not. >> i would hope so. and iran has no business in syria. the only reason there there is because they want to create a territorial bridge they took over iraq with a shiite regime

next guest will be delivering the benediction in jerusalem on monday. he is the founder and chairman of christians united for israel. pastor john hagy joins me now. >> good evening. it's a pleasure to see you. >> jeanine: you are the head of a 4.1 million member, the largest is real grassroots organization in the world. you are a christian pastor, how did this get started? >> is started in 1981 when i had a night in san antonio. the purpose was to give an expression to christianity. it met with a lot of resistance and suspicion from the jewish people. why was i doing this. the jewish people are not accustomed to christians doing

ask of kindness for them. that event began to take off across america because of our national television program. in 2006 we started talking about destroying israel and death to the jews and so forth. i said israel needs a grassroots organization in the united states of america and a lobbying group in washington, hooking the forces up together so any time an issue comes to washington it's detrimental to israel and the jewish people, we can stand up and speak up with united force. >> jeanine: you had a hundred 37000 e-mail sent to the white house on moving the embassy. you also did a fly and with 400 members from your organization to washington, d.c. from every state. >> every state in the united

states plus additional matters that are concentrations. >> why was it so important that you as head of a christian organization be the center of israel? >> the capital of jerusalem i thought and believed, and still believed recognizing jerusalem is the capital of israel would accentuate the peace process. every time the president would call participants in the middle east to come to the table they would object because they did not feel like they were given appropriate portion of the city of jerusalem. soon as jerusalem was taken off the table has to be one our president had the courage and a to make that declaration, worlds and end and armageddon didn't start. the sun rose in the east and set in the western everything was

have nuclear weapons. we must be able to go to a site and check that site. we have to be able to go into their military bases to see whether or not they are cheating. >> jeanine: joining me now, congressman who has been instrumental in the move to jerusalem. congressman, good evening. welcome to the fox jerusalem bureau. >> it's great to be here. thank you for making the track. i love israel. but most important, the move to jerusalem by the president, a move that none of the other presidents have the courage to make, why do you think they didn't to it? >> it's a tough decision to make. the whole bureaucracy tells you you can't do it, the media says don't do it. and that's what's presidency.

so can you see beyond the typical chatter into what's right? harry truman did that when he recognized israel years ago i think it was the right thing to do for a relationship with israel. jerusalem is the eternal capital of the jewish people. i think by him doing the it makes a difference in toronto north korea, and russia in all these places. you see a president leaving with purpose and buck the established conventional wisdom. >> so let's talk about president trump and kim jong-un. he looks at this, what is he thinking. >> which one? >> kim jong-un. i think kim jong-un has been rattled by donald trump. he had a good with obama.

he could do whatever he wanted to. and to this presidents credit he brought pressure. and now we've seen some fruits of that with hostages being released. >> jeanine: when i look at the democrats who don't have the decency to give the president credit for that. yet when auto warm beer came he. they realize they have a significant adversary. someone who will do it he says as president. the question is, how much. does kim jong-un now think that since he's been trying to further their nuclear ambition that it makes it less secure because the put pressure on him. can he cut a deal? i'm not sure he's at that point

yet. two years ago there would've been no chance of concessions out of north korea. i think he knows a bad deal and he will walk away if there's a bad deal. he's not going to do concessions like obama did. >> jeanine: i'm joking because look at kim jong-un, you would think the guy had a lobotomy. he was i'm gonna kill you and guam in chicago and all over. and all of a sudden he's wearing western guard. he looks like he wants to be on the cover of vanity fair. it brought out, is it the economic sanctions? where that fear that donald trump will turn them into a parking lot. >> i think both. one thing that mike pompeo has set us we are willing to help out economically if year willing

to do nuclear rise. that would be a trade that be great. you get rid of the nuclear problem by providing economic help. maybe the volvo away from the system that they have had for so long. so that may give the people of north korea some hope they can get some things done. but this regime has been about the ruling elite and keeping them in power. >> we have seen it in those few able to get away from north korea who were able to get out of the country. anyway, i'll see you monday at the opening of the embassy. tall of those who work so hard to get this move we say thank you. >> this is a huge, historic event. >> and coming up, you been >> and coming up, you been waiting for, and snacks.
