jillian: welcome back. the white house revealing officials from north korea stood them up at a summit meeting last week. rob: north korea saying they are willing to meet with donald trump anytime just hours after the president canceled the singapore meeting. here to weigh in on this at the heritage foundation, james, thanks for coming on this morning. the big question, can the president get this back? should he get this back? >> the us strategy is maximum pressure. that prevents north korea from threatening our vital interests. diplomacy can go on its own track. if it works great, if it doesn't our vital interests are protected. the administration is open to negotiation, that was clear in the pres.'s letter. the pres.'s letter was personally dictated by the president so it reflect exactly how he is still open.

jillian: take a look at a portion of it, quote, we talk about your nuclear capabilities but hours are so massive and powerful that i prayed to god they will never have to be used. supreme rhetoric we heard last year. >> i would focus on the last part of that sentence. what it doesn't suggest is the us is threatening any kind of preemptive military action where we attack them first before we thought they might use their nuclear weapons program. i think that is the us strategy. we talk about the blood he knows, just go in and take their nukes out. i don't think that is the plan. the plan remains if kim does something crazy we will respond but if he doesn't, we are willing to let the pressure and diplomacy run its course. rob: interesting dynamic between the 2. north koreans build these weapons they want to threaten the world and get paid off to be nice and not do anything wrong.

it is fascinating, they are used to politicians that bend to these demands and the country that has so much money we pay them to shut up. in this pres.'s case that won't happen and i wonder what is the point of this summit, can't see either of these two breaking on this issue? >> that is what has gone on. trump is an unconventional statesman. the conventional wisdom is we may say denuclearization but you accept they are nuclear power, they don't mean this is talk about us giving about weapons but the president said i want to challenge that assumption, offer them prospects for denuclearization, talked about limiting the program. when the administration says the president said i gave them the chance they are continually doing the same thing. i am not going to give them a summit just for that.

this is the first time actors were able to be in the cockpit and have actual visual effects in front of them on the screen so they can see themselves going into lightspeed and the lights from the space element reflecting off of the actors while they were playing those scenes was back in the day they would use green screen. it is really cool to watch and they had the millennium falcon on a gimbal that moved so they can feel themselves flying. is the movie great? it does work at times was the action is fantastic. i love donald glover and woody harrelson. the script has some issues, some very poorly dialogue scenes at
