tv Justice With Judge Jeanine FOX News June 2, 2018 9:00pm-10:00pm PDT
9:00 pm
what you want. be sure to follow me on facebook, instagram and twitter. remember i'm watters and this is my orld. orld -- world. judge jeanine: welcome to "justice." i'm jeanine pirro. thanks for about with us and thanks for making "justice" number one all last weekend. what a show on tap tonight. kellyanne conway, anthony scaramucci. patty blagojevich, wife of rod blagojevich. as you know, if you are a regular justice viewer. i do an opening statement at this time every saturday. more often than not it's whatever has gone the me fired up this week.
9:01 pm
this week i am fired up, i am angry, but i am even more confused. confused as to why congressman trey gowdy chairman of the house collect committee on intelligence. one of the few people in washington who has the intelligence, the expertise and the ability to see through the nonsense if not illegality going on at the fbi and the department of justice. fray gowdy would say this about a spy placed in the trump campaign. >> i am even more convinced the fbi did exactly what my fellow citizens would want them to do when they got the information they got, and it has nothing to do with donald trump. judge jeanine: why was i stunned and upset with that answer? number one, trey gowdy knows he's not supposed to confirm nor deny spygate. saying that the placing of a spy
9:02 pm
or a confidential human sort as the big shots call it in the trump campaign has nothing to do with donald trump? that's ridiculous. but instead of me take on trey gowdy in an opening statement which i fully intended to do, i instead decided to get some insight into what may be his thinking from some of his closest colleagues. joining me now congressman jim jordan, chairman mark meadows and congressman ron desantis, all members of the freedom caucus and you be relenting voices in the fight for truth in this russia probe. now, i'm going to start with you, mark meadows. under no circumstances would anyone think of placing a spy or as they want to call it, a confidential human source, someone who clearly has foreign
9:03 pm
intelligence capabilities in the campaign of a man running for president of the united states. it has never happened in the history of this country. but these guys did it. so why shouldn't i be furious and who do they think they are kidding? >> well, judge, you should be furious. i can tell you as we look at the evidence, and jim and i and ron have read thousands of pages as we look at this. you should be furious. whether it's spying on the trump campaign or the bernie sanders campaign or any presidential campaign, it's wrong. we have a growing body of evidence that would suggest the opposite of what my good friend trey gowdy said, that the fbi and doj did do things improperly. we know there were informants in the trump campaign prior to the fbi opening an investigation. we have got to make sure we get
9:04 pm
to the bottom of it. judge jeanine: that point is an important one. the timeline is extremely significant. that bozo clapper made this statement on "the view." i will have jim jordan to take a listen to it. >> was the fbi spying on trump's campaign? >> no, they were not. they were spying on -- a term i don't particularly like -- on what the russians were doing, trying to understand, and gain access and learn and influence which is what they do. >> why doesn't he like that? he should be happy. >> he should be. judge jeanine: since when do we put spies in a presidential campaign to find out what the russians are doing. why not intercept them on the way in unless you are trying to infiltrate the president's campaign? >> and why not tell the
9:05 pm
candidate himself. why not tell the guy who is president of the united states. we think russians are trying to infiltrate your campaign. why not give them a defensive briefing. that didn't take place. to say he doesn't like the term spy. what else can you call it? it was someone from the outside contacting people associated with the trump campaign to try to get information. if that's not a spy, i don't know what is. judge jeanine: i think it was comey who said it's not a spy, a confidential source. he just says there is a difference. >> the fbi and doj want to say you can trust us. we caught them hiding information from us in the past.
9:06 pm
contreras, the judge who heard flynn's case. they tried to hide that from us. even though you caught us hiding information, don't worry, you can trust us now. come on. judge jeanine: what's interesting is then contreras is recused from the case, so clearly there was wrongdoing there. congressman desantis. trey gowdy makes this statement which unfortunately remind me of clapper's statement basically saying i'm going to rely on rod rosenstein from the department of justice who put mueller in there after mueller was taken to the head of the fbi and chris questioner wray who is the head of the fbi. he said i don't believe this is a problem. and my fellow americans would
9:07 pm
want this to happen. trey gowdy is one of my heroes. i always loved trey gowdy. i don't know if he went to the dark side. he understands credibility, lying and the courtroom. why would he talk to christopher wray and rod rosenstein saying i haven't seen the documents but i believe everything they are saying. >> i disagree with his analysis and it goes to what jim said. they should have just told candidate trump this is something they were concerned about. instead they chose to take taken aggressive posture vis-a-vis the entire campaign. they launched this massive counter-intelligence investigation based on papadopoulos saying something to downer. we know when downer reported that to u.s. authorities, he didn't even mention emails.
9:08 pm
there wasser in a discussion about emails. so the start of it is as thin as you can possibly be. and i would also say there was more information or evidence that would require you to surveil hillary's campaign and trump's campaign. look at the national security implications. they were paying a foreign national christopher steele to collect dirt on donald trump. but they never took action against hillary it's a big double standard. judge jeanine: i want to go back to congressman meadows. we are supposed to take the word of the fbi and the department of justice when they started this investigation or the fbi did under the guise of it being a counter intelligence investigation. i want you to follow this. there is an ambassador from australia who invites a
9:09 pm
low-level fourth level volunteer to have a drink at a bar in the united kingdom. and this kid supposedly says they got dirt on hillary clinton from the russians. the problem with that is the guy who is the ambassador from australia, he was involved in 25 million dollars from australia going to the clinton foundation. so let me remind my viewers. the ambassador from australia, $25 million going to the clinton foundation is the guy who gets the information to say to the fbi, we have to start a counter-intelligence investigation. that smells to high hell or heaven. >> it does smell. i think the other thing is this.
9:10 pm
when we look at all of this. the collusion narrative is more a collusion narrative with the hillary clinton campaign and christopher teal and some of the other contacted. when we see this, all the evidence would suggest the fbi and doj are not coming clean. jim jordan said this right. we are having to get documents and read the document and find the evidence they should have been forthcoming with. it's note just about a judge. it's about the redactions made or and over again. it's the fact that brennan, the cia director briefed harry reid on some of this information with the knowledge of the white house. judge jeanine: the obama white house. >> exactly. we have to get to the bottom of it. judge jeanine: that's where i'm going in two minutes. so rod rosenstein, the guy who
9:11 pm
appoint mueller who is a friend of comey to investigate the president of the united states, because rosenstein convinced the whole thing if you throw a movie on this, no one would believe it. he says the house committee on intelligence that's constitution alley obligated to have oversight on the department of justice is committing ex d extortion. that's a quote. what say you? >> it can't be extortion when it's your constitutional duty. we have an obligation as a separate and equal branch of government to get information for the american people. when trey gowdy said the fbi behaved the way american citizens would want them behave.
9:12 pm
really? was andy mccabe behaving appropriately when he lied three times under oath. and when they took the dossier to the court and didn't tell the court who paid for it. judge jeanine: when are you going to do something? what we need is mcconnell and paul ryan to get their big boy pants on and do something. the american public is being torn apart over this unrelenting investigation that just won't end. the fbi and the doj are stalling, they are redacting. they are not come lying about subpoenas. they are a bunch of fosters trying to make you look like fools and trying to make this 2018 election get past them so they can say the president is
9:13 pm
corrupt. >> one, rosenstein should be recused from this. he wrote the memo saying to fire comey. judge jeanine: i know the intellectual arguments. my viewers want to know, what is the next step. what are you going to do? does the president need to desify? >> yes, he need to do that. but we are going to start deposing witnesses this month. we are going to depose other people at the fbi. we need a deposition of peter strzok and lisa page. that needs to happen asap. we have asked the president to give us the information we are entitled to receive. judge jeanine: how does the president know what to declassify other than the fisa warrant and the application if all this is being prevented from him seeing it.
9:14 pm
>> the august 2 memo. >> here is the interesting thing, judge. the president is all for transparency. whether it helps him or hurts him he wants to get the information out. it's all about transparency. and it's time the doj and fbi will not do it. they must be held in contempt. we must put pressure on our leadership to do that. judge jeanine: i want all my viewers to get in touch with paul ryan. tell him to get off his tough. and whoever is going to impeach rod rosenstein has to do it. if jeff sessions can't do his job because he's too scared, maybe he should resign. but main that's just me. -- but maybe that's just me. this week will mark president trump's 500th day in office.
9:15 pm
joining me to discuss is counselor to the president, kellyanne conway. thank you for taking time. >> good evening, judge jeanine, and happy, healthy birthday to you. jean rs -- judge jeanine: 500 days. what has the president accomplished. don't give me a long list. >> there is so much that happened. the sheer volume and velocity. we are more prosperous, we are more secure and our government is more accountable. any one major achievement taken by itself would be enough in the first 50 some days. but when you think all this put together, isis is decimated. we are being respected on the world stage. this president's leadership has brought north korea literally to

9:17 pm
trump progress. regulatory reductions. consumer confidence. it's all around us. those who deny it are spitting into the wind. but who cares. we don't pay attention. he's there for the forgotten man. not the cranks on tv who don't want to give him any credit. judge jeanine: nancy pelosi when she heard that the meet was off with kim jong-un, she was almost cheering and saying it was a big win for kim jong-un. now that it's back on for june 12, all the naysayers said it will never be back on. americans have to say to themselves. this guy really does know what he's doing. he's bringing kim jong-un to the table. yes? >> literally. everybody should be happy about it. a denuclearized korean peninsula is in everybody's interest.
9:18 pm
i don't know why the democrats would cheater lowering of the fortunes or the rising of the probability the meeting wouldn't happen. the president sent that letter just 8 days boulevard north korea was here in washington, d.c. trying to get to the next step to get that june 12 summit actually occur. that letter covered the entire waterfront. but the president now is back on. the president said thursday on the record to the media, it may take more than one meeting. we had nearly 70 years of war. this president has been at it for 7 weeks, 7 months in earnest on this issue. people should stop cheering depending on who is involved and they should look at the substantive issue.
9:19 pm
i have such faith in the american people. they see it. that's why we are calling monday 500 days of american greatness. any one of these accomplishments by itself would be plenty. if people aren't going to get the message out, we will. judge jeanine: with all the stuff that happened this week with samantha bee and the horrible things she said about ivanka. ivanka has spent her adult career trying to empower women. she has done everything she can, not just in the united states, but around the world, to give women the ability to start businesses. the president is in washington. he works 24/7. and he never stops. but the hits just keep on coming. does it affect him at all? >> not really. i'll tell you why. the president sees in the faces of the american people,
9:20 pm
especially when he gets out of washington and travels. he met with families from santa fe with no media in the room. i happened to be there with hip. he went to nash southeast. he travels about once or twice a week now and will continue to. he's out there with the people who are so excited about his progress. he sees that it matters. ivanka legacy will be great for women. she has such an investment and it's incredit kibble and that's what matters in the end. judge jeanine: thanks so much for being with us tonight. anthony scaramucci will be:us. president trump says he's considering a move that could free controversial illinois governor rod blagojevich. joining us live is patti

governor rod blagojevich. this after he pardoned dinesh d'souza. d'souza * says he was singled out because he wrote a not so flattering movie about obama. joining us is patti blagojevich. >> thank you, judge, thanks for having me. judge jeanine: your house rod has been in jail for how many years? >> he's going into his 7th year now. judge jeanine: how old were your children when they first went to jail in. >> my little one was 4th grade and my older one was in 7th grade. it's really tough.
9:26 pm
judge jeanine: now your older one is how old? >> she is graduating from college this month. and my little one, her high school graduation was awful. senior prom. all those big special events, he missed. but most of importantly he missed the every day driving her to school, teaching her to drive. all that kind of stuff. and my younger one is 15 finishing up her freshman year of high school. judge jeanine: i was living in chicago at the time. i remember your husband walking out on the street. people loved this guy. and there aren't who feel, and i believe maybe the president does as well. the guy was just kind of practicing politics. he necessity really got any
9:27 pm
money in exchange or gifts. we hear about this stuff all the time in washington. but he seemed to be on the bad side like dinesh d'souza of the obama administration. is that accurate? >> the same people that went after mr. d'souza are the same people that went after my husband and they are going after the president now. it's the same m.o. they are using their offices to undo elections and play politics instead of do what they are supposed to do which is to seek justice. our system of government has a system of checks and balances for a reason. the courts and prosecutors can get it wrong whether maliciously or by accident. and it takes a strong leader like president trump to right those wrongs. judge jeanine: i think my viewers need to understand what you are saying. the guy who prosecuted your husband is a guy named
9:28 pm
fitzgerald. fitzgerald is pals with comey who put martha stewart in prison and fitzgerald is representing comey, and it's like comey, fitzgerald who have gone over to the dark side, many think, in terms of the way they are handling these cases. >> absolutely. they create crimes when there are no crimes. this is the case with my husband. it was this ridiculous selling of the senate seat was overturned on appeal years ago. people don't understand that. that was considered political log rolling. they make up crimes where there are none and they make a big splash in the press to try to bring down people that are either controversial or people they just don't like.
9:29 pm
judge jeanine: they don't like if they are part of the obama group. but patty glad * i want to wish you luck. i have one question. is your husband's hair still as thick as it used to be? he was known for his thick hair. >> yes, he's very blessed that way. thank you so much. judge jeanine: candace owens from turning point u.s.a. is next. but first anthony scaramucci standing by live to talk about this week in the white house and more. as a control enthusiast, i'm all-business when i travel... even when i travel... for leisure. so i go national, where i can choose any available upgrade in the aisle - without starting any conversations- -or paying any upcharges.

much latitude and prosecutorial overreach and basically weaponizing these agencies and using them as political instruments, whether they were crimes like dinesh d'souza or the nonsense and factual incorrectness of the blagojevich situation, they knew they could put people in jail and make big splashes and disrupt and subvert the rule of law. one of the things the president is doing by putting out these pardons. he's sending a message to the american people that this nonsense is over. he's resetting the fairness in the judicious process. i'm super happy about that. particularly for the people i know who were treated unfairly. >> so many of the presidents wait until their last week or last day in office to pardon individuals. president trump is being transparent. he's doing it now. he's willing to take them on.

9:39 pm
>> it's a fact that there is a double standard in our society because the left controls the mainstream media and most of of hollywood. so samantha bee will get full latitude and license. apologies accepted. somebody on the right that does the same thing, they want to hit the eject button like they did in the austin powers movie and slip people into the fire. they do that constantly. sean hannity and i debated this. he originally wasn't for boycotts. now he is for boycotts. if you -- if you don't fight fire with fire, judge. sean's position was in the beginning, i don't want anybody boy cod, i believe in free speech. but then they start this boycott nonsense on him. so for me, i don't want people
