[cheers and applause] so we signed a tax bill. and the cut was great. but we also got one of the great sites in the world. for energy!

and we got rid of the obamacare disastrous individual mandate. where you pay a fortune for the privilege of not paying for health insurance. [applause] this is one of the great disasters. the individual mandate, gone! has anybody realized that? where you pay a lot of money for the privilege of not paying, okay? and you get no healthcare. and we just opened with our great labor secretary, department of labor. cooperative and association healthcare. it is going to be -- millions of people in this room are going to be buying it. it will be low-cost, phenomenal. much better than obamacare. we are doing more in another two weeks, different forms of healthcare. obamacare is no going up. every time you see an increase it is obamacare. obamacare is on his last legs. it is almost finished. do not forget i had it finished, it was done!

repeal and replace, obamacare, it was done until early in the morning. a man walked in and he said, thumbs down. that was not good. and nobody knew he was going to do that. he campaigned on repeal and replace. he campaigned, for years, repeal and replace! repeal and replace! nobody talked to him. nobody needed to, it was a done deal! then he walked in, thumbs down. it's all right because we've essentially gutted it anyway. and we now have really good stuff coming. [cheers and applause] that was a beauty, that was a beauty! that was going to cost us more money than anyone would have ever believed. we have signed a landmark accountability legislation for the va. where you accountable know if you do a bad job. we fire you. two weeks ago, we passed choice, the va choice. rather than waiting online for weeks and weeks and dying. you know you had people that went in, moderate, have a minor problem. it ends up taking so long that they end up terminal. now they go see a dr. and we pay for the doctor. these are our great veterans. it is called va choice. [applause] they have been trying to get accountability for 40 years. they've been trying to get va choice from the beginning. before i knew much about the veterans administration in terms of choice, i said, why don't they use choice? i thought was my idea, i said i am so smart, what a great idea! i went to the group and they said we have been trying to get that for 35 years. so that's all right, we got it now! they have been trying for 35 years. billion in the next year. $716 billion to bring our military to the highest level it has ever been. [cheers and applause] we needed it. we confirmed more circuit court judges than any other new administration and we will set the all-time record with judges. including our great new supreme court justice, neil gorsuch. [applause] we withdrew from the horrible one-sided iran deal and that is going to turn out to be very good. that was one of the great embarrassments. and removed the u.s. embassy to jerusalem. [cheers and applause] we are renegotiating all of the trade deals that i told you

about. we are working with china, we are working with all of those countries, we are so one-sided and all of that will work out 100 percent. but we cannot be taken advantage of any longer as a country. we are not doing it. [applause] we are getting to sanctuary cities, unsafe places. [applause] we are protecting your second amendment. [cheers and applause] have to protect it. 95 percent of american manufacturers just announced that this is in the history of the chart, which they think is 28 years old. they've been doing this for 28 years. in history, it is the highest

history. they love what's going on. let me put it this way, they prove we are doing. it is the highest approval rating that this country has ever had by the people that create jobs. namely, the manufacturers. [applause] and 100 utility companies have lowered their prices because of our business tax cuts and the savings to america and americans will be over $3 billion. think of that. for farmers and small businesses, we have eliminated the estate tax. you can leave your farm, your business to the people you love and you will not have to go borrowing money so they can pay the estate.and we have so many other things that we have

done and so many other things that we are doing. we are very proud of it. we could not have done it without you. it has been an incredible journey for all of us. we started out saying we're going to do this and that. no one had any idea we would be able to do so much so soon in a short period of time. all of those things have been done or are close to being done. a lot of them have great starts. and i can tell you that on trade. you will see things happen over the next coming months that are going to really shock you. because for so many years we felt so badly, our jobs have been taken, our companies have been taken like we are a bunch of babies. let's take the company, less close up the car company. let's fire everybody. let's move the company to another country. and we will sell back cars are into america. we will pay tax. those days are gone. they are gone!

up. taxes that you have cut way down will go way up. they will give you all sorts of false promises. your taxes are going way up. there is no doubt. nancy pelosi was caught three weeks ago. did you hear? she said forget about the crumbs.but it is a lot of money for people. $2000, three dollars more than that. so i don't even talk about the crumbs. but three weeks ago she was talking about, she wants to raise everybody's taxes. okay? i don't think so!somehow that doesn't play very well. but a vote for her is a vote for increased taxes. weak borders. it is really a vote for crime. it is a vote to get rid of police officers, a vote to get rid of i.c.e. they want to get rid of i.c.e.! do you know how tough i.c.e. is? there are times where they have a lot of ms-13. the thing they respect, there is no respect like if you are the number one student in your

class. they do not respect that. they respect toughness. our i.c.e. people are so tough, they are much tougher than the ms-13 people. and they respect our i.c.e. people. these guys go in with the paddy wagons. and they grab them and take them out and get them out of our country and we put them in some cases, in jail. they are killing people! they do not kill with guns. you hear so much about guns. you killed him with knives. they cut them into little pieces because it is much more painful. they are taking beautiful, young woman off the street. you know the father and the mother. two of them, they had a daughter. two daughters, killed so violently by ms-13. cut up! cut up! not shot, cut up because it's more painful.

gentlemen, how are you? >> nice to be here. >> tax reform, is an issue for republicans in november? >> you bet it is. while democrats might have history on their side for midterm elections republicans have something better. that is a record. we have unemployment, growth is through the roof approaching four percent. americans feel good about the economy, the right track, the wrong track. people feel good and optimistic about the future because they see it in their paychecks. i think the president has a record to run on. it also comes from a state that is dependent on a service economy and entertainment. when do people get to do those things? when the economy is doing well and have more money in their pocket. i think the republicans stick to economic prosperity -- >> jose -- is a better that time? >> well done. >> if democrats don't care about tax reform one of the winning issues for them in

nevada? >> with all due respect to brad, the polls i've seen say otherwise. they say that majority of americans do not think that tax reform passed by the gop are that popular peter fact, we do know the president promised tax reform, we will ensure that all of the money went back to the middle class. what we've seen so far is this going back to the directors and ceos of big companies. was happening is there actually laying off folks. we know harley-davidson fired people, wells fargo fired people among others. i am not too sure that the gop should use the tax reform as a sales pitch. i think they ought to do more than that and again, the president isn't doing so well. the economy is doing well but it could do much better. i can tell you from our side, come november, the american people will judge the gop and the president on what they have done and when you put the facts on the table, they have not done all that much. >> president trump talked about

tax reform package that he signed six months ago. let's take a listen to him. >> we cut taxes massively. and these companies are moving back now, chrysler is coming back, there are so many companies coming back. that's what we do need jobs and we need to get them there but we need jobs because we have all of the companies. we have so much happening. they're coming to ohio, coming to your state, coming to pennsylvania, they are coming all over! >> what is your take on the tax reform and when it has done for the economy? >> it sells its help you with all due respect might rend the economy cannot be doing better. it is hitting every cylinder. minority on appointment is lowest in the american history. i don't know how much better, am sick of winning an economy is the president take because we're doing so well. obviously, we want every american to have a job. as far as history is concerned, we are at full employment. people are finding jobs. by the way, it is the middle

next, he leads a tax reform roundtable. we are back with our panel, brad blakeman former deputy assistant of george w.bush. we have [inaudible question] have jose aristimuno. we are the presidents branding, wacky jackie. brad, your thoughts on this nevada senate race and whether dean heller should embrace the president have a little distance? >> you cannot argue with success. donald trump has promised and he has delivered peer promises made our promises kept. the most important thing the state of nevada is, the economy. it is a tourist dependent state.people tend to travel when they have money. and the economy is doing well. if the economy is doing well, nevada is doing well. all you need to know is if democrats gain control the house or senate or both, they will push for higher taxes. we do not need to push back our economy. we do not need entrenchment in

our economy. we need continued growth. we are on a pathway of historic growth in our country. not just next year but a year after. we're looking at long-term growth. >> jose aristimuno, with the split, every seat is critical. a lot of democrats are looking at the nevada seat. your thoughts on heller versus rosen in nevada? >> senator heller, if i were him, i would run away from president trump. as far away as i possibly can. we have learned in the past year and and a half of the special elections where the president has put his hand aside, they have lost. they lost pennsylvania, alabama, i would advise the sender to not try to campaign with the president. that is number one. number two, i will say we have to remember that nevada was won by hillary clinton and 2016. i'm very optimistic the democrats will take back the senate and we will take back nevada. >> all right. >> i'm very optimistic.

>> brad blakeman, jose aristimuno, thank you for your time. >> meanwhile tensions boreal over in texas. protesters briefly block a bus full of immigrants trying to leave a shelter. this is federal authorities are speaking to immigrant families with i.c.e. saying this could add 15,000 beds for shelter families. democratic lawmakers blasting the trump administration for what they say is unfair treatment. >> this is not the way we treat people who are seeking asylum in this country. and that is my biggest concern. people who are seeking asylum should be given the rights of all of those who are asylum-seekers. it is the law of the country. >> we now turn to steve with more on this from texas. >> the past few minutes we've

seen customs officials here bring metal barricades out in front of the building. you can see the number protesters here. demonstrators go from a few dozen to a couple of hundred through the course of the day here. a very hot temperature here at about 96 degrees right now. for a short time, one bus was bringing parents and children from this detention center to another it was blocked by protesters. one woman getting right in front of the bus had to be pulled away. others putting their hands on the buses saying free the children, for the children. after tournaments the bus was permitted to depart. we have seen a number of politician in the rio grande valley today was more than 20 democratic legislators that toured several detention centers to try and see the conditions firsthand for themselves. this is what one of them had to say. >> people on the job you're doing the best they can. but it is overwhelming. we have no way of knowing even when the questions have been asked, what is happening to the 23 hundred children who are

not send your children up here. we will send them right home. more poorly, they may not get back. this is nothing new. time magazine cover with president trump, glowering down at a little two-year-old. this little two-year-old father said i wish i was never separated from its mother. this is just a political theater. a posturing, the hypocrisy of it is just overwhelming. >> you know, i wanted to ask you about your vote on the immigration bill and why he voted for it and where you stand on the moderate immigration bill which was delayed until next week. the president has asked for a delay on the bill for waiting until november. memory republicans say they will vote next week. what do you think about those two things? >> i did. i voted for the fast act. it was a good bill. it had a few little problems

but it was as good as it's going to get, probably. i think the compromise bill that we are looking at next week has more problems. i think it would be easier. we were only about 25 votes shy from passing that fast act. i think it will be better for us quite frankly, to tweak and amend that bill and bring it back to the floor then it would be to try to amend and tweak the compromise bill. it will be easier to go with the first one. it is a bitter bill. all we need to do is add the border triggers and border construction or appropriation funding for it. i think we have got a great bill and then we can address daca as well and tried to get some of our more moderate republicans on board with it. we can get this thing passed. i understand where the president is coming from when he says maybe we need to put this off until next congress. but quite frankly, we need to address this problem now. >> congressman?

crime, healthcare. your thoughts on that? >> my thoughts are the democrats will not help us you know. his tweet about us waiting until next congress, to adjust the immigration situation, i understand his point but he got elected to be tough on the border. and stop illegal immigration. the democrats hypocrisy just comes out more and more every day. the democrats do not want to see families get together or detained together. they do not want to see families detained at all! because the whole goal is open borders and unlimited immigrations. i think we need to address that right now. i understand where the president is coming from but we can pass a bill in the house, send it to the senate. if the senate would get rid of the 60 vote, filibuster, we have 51 republicans over there. we have already seen the benefits of that with our tax cuts bill that only took 51 votes in the senate.

hard time imagining what or why parents would send their children on this journey to the us. we have seen the images. what about the reason why these people are fleeing which is important in this. >> there are three governing laws are that really make it necessary for the trump administration to be doing what they're doing. the first is the floras versus reno decision which is a ninth circuit decision. they say these children have to be released to sponsors.the second law is eight usc 1325 which is what jeff sessions talked about. we have to prosecute those that come across the border illegally. the last one is the 2008 act passed on the democratic-controlled congress that is that trafficking victim protection act. bottom line it says you have to separate children and parents for the protection or children

and adults for the protection of the child. it is really rather hypocritical to see the democrats now say, mr. attorney general, re-resent the fact that you are enforcing the laws we passed. that is the real backdrop here.
