i cannot disagree with that more. all i and the other men and women of the fbi every day take our personal beliefs and set those aside and vigorous pursuit of the truth wherever it lies, whatever it is. spew what i have a question. the men and women in the fbi who run really high investigations, do they really carry on a running commentary via text message about the subject of their investigation? i don't think so. i hope mike certainly hope not. that is precisely what he did. there is no doubt, agents or like everybody else. they are entitled to their own political and put stomach opinions the blatant bias. how he discuss them with his girlfriend, they are troubling. they remain so. he claims to take great offense. he was looking down.

and i like gohmert a lot. i thought that the exchange gohmert and strzok, i did think that was good. i wouldn't have wanted to be one of the republicans when that went down. >> it was a wild day. reading the text is one thing, but to have him sit there and say i said i was going to stop trump, i didn't mean the fbi. it wasn't credible, just like his expo nations were not. the idea that he is doing this. he did act with bias as they had said. how he was focusing on trump russia collusion. here's the thing, we pressed him. he would not answer these questions. what was the basis for the collusion case? he won't tell us. he barely talked about the

dossier. that is the troubling thing. you have the bias on this investigation. he even said ten months after it, there is nothing here. i am worried that there is nothing here. >> laura: there were a lot of interesting moments. ten hours. some of the people on the committee, that was difficult. i want to get to richard here. throughout the hearing strzok insisted that he had no bias, but the ig report said the following. "when one fbi official was helping to lead the russia investigation at the time conveyed in a text message to another senior, that. trump from being elected. it is not only indicative. even more seriously implies a willingness to take official action to impact the presidential candidate. we concluded that we did not have confidence that this

decision by strzok was free from bias." >> here is what is not plausible to me. intelligence committee says the russians meddled to help trump artillery. the president meanwhile is saying, i asked vladimir putin if he did it. here's the answer. strzok could have single-handedly blown this campaign to high heaven by disclosing what he knew. >> laura: let me tell you why that is a really lame point. that was recycled over and over again. it would've been so overtly obvious. it would have been so obvious and so stupid for them to do that. it would easily trace back to him. he wouldn't of done that. >> if he was such a fanatic. all of his critics were saying

he was so fanatical that he was so biased. he would go to jail to stop trump. >> laura: he might have thought he was talking to his girlfriend, he is not stupid enough to leak this right before the election. it would've right back to him. >> "the new york times" did publish on october 30th, this investigation they said no ties to trump. he didn't have the goods. >> laura: i want to get your reaction. mark meadows was asking about this. >> were you aware of any discussion that took place with regards to the russia collusion investigation that took place with the obama administration executive branch? >> i am certainly aware of conversations. >> laura: it took a long time to get him to say that. it was a 3 minutes.

like pulling teeth to get him to respond to that question. all along many of us have a hard time believing that the white house did not, at least wasn't regularly updated as that message was revealed. what is your sense about the white house being informed about that investigation? >> it is one of the deep concerns. there is this triangulation between the dnc and what was going on in the hillary clinton campaign, bruce ohr, and how it was funneled back into the fbi. was that information then fed and appropriately to the court to obtain warrants? i thought jim jordan had one of the best sets of questions. he got him to admit that under oath that ohr was involved.

his wife was involved. the company that has less than 20 employees. it does involve the dnc. it does involve political actors that would have naturalism ties to the white house. it is still an open and valid question. >> laura: goodlatte can we have enormous respect for him. he has done such great work. at the beginning of that hearing today, the democrats had clearly plans. they had planned to get this thing off track. objection. objection. talking over each other. it was like a major swarm. he had that gamble on his pants. i have a feeling it, the room would have been cleared. did you think that was a smart move? democrats really dominated for the first, i would say for the first 10 minutes of these constant objections. >> yeah, one of the takeaways at
