7:00 pm
disgraceful. typical, predictable. that does all the time we have left this evening. we expect big protests here in london. as always thank you for being with us. there she is, laura standing by. it is 3:00 a.m., time for a beer. >> laura: hannity, the last time i was there. 1983. >> hannity: of course he been there, i've been there never. >> laura: i went there to do my semester abroad when i was in college. we all started there. we got an a scary soviet train and all the soviet soldiers jump on and look through your stuff. very dramatic, a lot of drinking. >> hannity: i'm looking forward to it. by the way just so our audience knows, laura was a raiser in college.
7:01 pm
she went to dartmouth. they made a lot of trouble and noise when they were there. >> laura: not me. >> hannity: waited minutes. i read about one other offense. >> laura: you have to watch out, i have a whole hour to fill stories about you. >> hannity: i'm going to the last pub open. >> laura: have a great morning. good evening, this is "the ingraham angle. bombshell testimony on capitol hill today from that anti-trump texting. peter strzok, we will have full analysis from a top law maker, rudy giuliani. also i bombshell report by solomon. that the fbi may have received multiple versions of that russia dossier. he'll be here to explain, cross the pond president trump.
7:02 pm
we will have exclusive footage that no one has seen of what the british folks really think about this president. plus michelle joins us to discuss nonexplosive interview trump just gave to a u.k. newspaper. first, when a trump hating fbi investigator struck out. that is the focus of tonight's angle. he would have undoubtedly been proud. there may not been elephants, jugglers or trapeze artist flying through the air. for hours and hours and hours today for more fbi investigator peter strzok was walking a tightrope that republicans desperately tried to knock him off of. >> you are asking us to believe that when you say things like f trump, stop trump. that those just personal belief beliefs? when you say those things, you never cross that line.
7:03 pm
>> sir, i am asking you to believe and i am offering you evidence. >> you have been clear as a bell on that. >> how many interviews did you conduct relating to the collusion? >> i'm instructed not to answer questions on the ongoing investigation. >> did you know that she was meeting with representatives? >> i cannot discuss the content of the operational matters. >> your testimony is bob mueller had not kick you off because of the context of your text. >> it was now my understanding. i don't appreciate what was really sad being changed. >> i don't give a what you thin think. >> this is ridiculous. >> laura: we saw democrats stretching out the neck. using explosive denunciation and
7:04 pm
every lame parliamentary trick in the book. >> mr. strzok, you are under subpoena. you are required to answer the question. are you objecting to the question if so please state your objection? >> sir i object. >> no point of order. >> i moved to subpoena steve bannon. the motion has to be heard immediately. >> i move to move that. >> laura: i need a pepto-bismol, that was very dramatic. democrats just tried to change the subject altogether. >> there are 3,000 children separated from their moms and dads and the government doesn't know where their moms and dads are. that seems like something the committee should be investigating. >> what we have not done is investigate the children being stolen with from their family.
7:05 pm
nor have we looked at our president meeting with vladimir putin. >> mr. strzok, you are before this committee for one reason to serve as a monumental distraction. they need to identify a villain. mr. strzok, tag you are it. >> laura: no, you are at. all of these games. stay with me here. there were moments when the hearing went to circus, to a complete sideshow. >> i've talked to fbi agents around the country, you have embarrassed them, you have embarrassed yourself. i can't help but wonder when i see you looking there with a little smirk, how many times did you look so innocent into your wife's eyes. >> that's outrageous! >> mr. chairman!
7:06 pm
>> laura: i understand the passions are running high. i have a question here, what did that accomplish exactly? at some point he had the hyper. they probably thought to themselves, is this would it is comes to? >> laura: it seemed like they are more like contestants. like they were competing for the sound bite of the day. >> i never prejudge anything. not in this case, not in others. you mentioned the use of the word impeachment, that was used as my not knowing what this would be used to. >> there are people who are thrilled and excited today. fox news in the kremlin. >> i've never seen my colleague so out of control. >> if i could give you a purple heart i would. he deserved one.
7:07 pm
>> laura: the veterans must've felt really good about that. except that all aside for a moment's. we are at the same point that we have been at in the last year. the fbi agent in charge of two of the most important political investigations of the past decade was steeped in animus towards a candidate and then president trump. when he was partially examining the lead to investigation, he was actively rooting for her. you read it in the text messages, the possibility that trump would win. he assured his lover that he would not let that happen. pay no attention to that, there is no bias there. >> there is no active bias. this false assertion that you are making that's political, personal beliefs must equal bias. but we have merged those two words together as one of the triumphs that has been going on.
7:08 pm
i cannot disagree with that more. all i and the other men and women of the fbi every day take our personal beliefs and set those aside and vigorous pursuit of the truth wherever it lies, whatever it is. spew what i have a question. the men and women in the fbi who run really high investigations, do they really carry on a running commentary via text message about the subject of their investigation? i don't think so. i hope mike certainly hope not. that is precisely what he did. there is no doubt, agents or like everybody else. they are entitled to their own political and put stomach opinions the blatant bias. how he discuss them with his girlfriend, they are troubling. they remain so. he claims to take great offense. he was looking down.
7:09 pm
he believes that anyone should believe that he meant to stop trump selection, to guarantee trump's defeat. that is what he wrote. he rotates as he said today, nobody was looking besides his girlfriend. his denial of bias is incredible and maddening at today's hearing. that is the angle. joining me now for a reaction, former republican of the committee, jason with me here in the studio. richard goodstein, a former advisor. g.o.p. congressman. congressman, i have to say that i was looking forward to this. i thought at times it wasn't working for the republicans. i think peter strzok did not come across particularly well. kind of snooty, indignant. and everything that works well for a witness.
7:10 pm
and i like gohmert a lot. i thought that the exchange gohmert and strzok, i did think that was good. i wouldn't have wanted to be one of the republicans when that went down. >> it was a wild day. reading the text is one thing, but to have him sit there and say i said i was going to stop trump, i didn't mean the fbi. it wasn't credible, just like his expo nations were not. the idea that he is doing this. he did act with bias as they had said. how he was focusing on trump russia collusion. here's the thing, we pressed him. he would not answer these questions. what was the basis for the collusion case? he won't tell us. he barely talked about the
7:11 pm
dossier. that is the troubling thing. you have the bias on this investigation. he even said ten months after it, there is nothing here. i am worried that there is nothing here. >> laura: there were a lot of interesting moments. ten hours. some of the people on the committee, that was difficult. i want to get to richard here. throughout the hearing strzok insisted that he had no bias, but the ig report said the following. "when one fbi official was helping to lead the russia investigation at the time conveyed in a text message to another senior, that. trump from being elected. it is not only indicative. even more seriously implies a willingness to take official action to impact the presidential candidate. we concluded that we did not have confidence that this
7:12 pm
decision by strzok was free from bias." >> here is what is not plausible to me. intelligence committee says the russians meddled to help trump artillery. the president meanwhile is saying, i asked vladimir putin if he did it. here's the answer. strzok could have single-handedly blown this campaign to high heaven by disclosing what he knew. >> laura: let me tell you why that is a really lame point. that was recycled over and over again. it would've been so overtly obvious. it would have been so obvious and so stupid for them to do that. it would easily trace back to him. he wouldn't of done that. >> if he was such a fanatic. all of his critics were saying
7:13 pm
he was so fanatical that he was so biased. he would go to jail to stop trump. >> laura: he might have thought he was talking to his girlfriend, he is not stupid enough to leak this right before the election. it would've right back to him. >> "the new york times" did publish on october 30th, this investigation they said no ties to trump. he didn't have the goods. >> laura: i want to get your reaction. mark meadows was asking about this. >> were you aware of any discussion that took place with regards to the russia collusion investigation that took place with the obama administration executive branch? >> i am certainly aware of conversations. >> laura: it took a long time to get him to say that. it was a 3 minutes.
7:14 pm
like pulling teeth to get him to respond to that question. all along many of us have a hard time believing that the white house did not, at least wasn't regularly updated as that message was revealed. what is your sense about the white house being informed about that investigation? >> it is one of the deep concerns. there is this triangulation between the dnc and what was going on in the hillary clinton campaign, bruce ohr, and how it was funneled back into the fbi. was that information then fed and appropriately to the court to obtain warrants? i thought jim jordan had one of the best sets of questions. he got him to admit that under oath that ohr was involved.
7:15 pm
his wife was involved. the company that has less than 20 employees. it does involve the dnc. it does involve political actors that would have naturalism ties to the white house. it is still an open and valid question. >> laura: goodlatte can we have enormous respect for him. he has done such great work. at the beginning of that hearing today, the democrats had clearly plans. they had planned to get this thing off track. objection. objection. talking over each other. it was like a major swarm. he had that gamble on his pants. i have a feeling it, the room would have been cleared. did you think that was a smart move? democrats really dominated for the first, i would say for the first 10 minutes of these constant objections. >> yeah, one of the takeaways at
7:16 pm
the american public would see what the democrats won through. it was prescripted that they would have a vote. you have the clerks in the room. normally when you have a hearing, he don't have the clerks. the chairman must've known that there would be a recorded vote. i got out of control, he tried to gavel them down. when you have a poor witness with a message that you don't want, that is what you do. you yell, you scream. you act outside of the rules. ed got away from him a little bit. that is the way they act. that is what democrats do. that is what america sees. can you believe that they want to give peter strzok a purple heart? >> laura: i have to say that was one of the more embarrassing comments. i don't care if you're republican or democrat, this is something you would see on "saturday night live" ." peter strzok was actually asked to read his own tax. like nobody would want to be in that position. let's watch.
7:17 pm
>> omg he has no idiots. i miss paige said not ever going to become president. right? right? >> no, no he is not. what the f happened to our country? >> read it again. >> was that not good question okay. >> happy to indulge you. >> laura: the tony academy award... richard, while republicans are trying to emphasize, this was not a run of the mill agent. he was the lead investigator of two of the major investigations in the last 20 years of politic politics. to hear him reading those. what a beeping disaster. it dramatized it in a way that when you just read the transcript, you don't really gets. i liked that moments.
7:18 pm
dramatic but i like it. >> can i just say, you had a list of republican house set up by the numbers. the republicans in cabinet who said equally damning thanks. i won't repeat them here. republican said that's. >> laura: you are repeating with the democrats say. >> you are saying that peter strzok's horrible. >> laura: talking more loudly doesn't help. it doesn't make your point any more cogent. i love you, that is a lame tactic. here's what i will say. people like bad and who criticized donald trump, first of all he has literally no constituency. second of all, he is not the lead investigator. so, to say ben sasse doesn't like donald trump. that is a ridiculous point. a first year law student would know that. >> he sat on the joke about
7:19 pm
trump in the elections. he helped put out about the emails. it is a twisted way to look at it. >> laura: i don't think any of us on this table would want to be investigated who had an innate who would be satisfied. we would all be like, what? why are you leading this? >> he is on the person in america who opened a counter intelligence committee. >> laura: there was a moment where peter strzok seem to contradict whether or not he was under a particular type of investigation. let's watch. >> so you think it is okay for the targets, you are a targets of an investigation to determine what should be delivered, rather than if you will the government. >> or i'm not aware of any investigation that i am >> >> l:
7:20 pm
well. he is under investigation. are we nitpicking here? republicans can sometimes gets in the position where they are perceived to be nitpicking on issues that are not the primary issues. >> he is also under investigation for the trump russia collusion. i did spill over into some of his text messages. they are actively looking at his role on that. he tried to say he wasn't a subject. he is a subject. jason, before we let you all go. what are the grounds for an fbi counsel to shut down questionin questioning, answering questions from congressional oversight committee hearings like this question are he kept relying on that. is that valid? >> it is absolutely not valid. the former chairman of the oversight committee, there is no privilege between a government
7:21 pm
employee in a government attorney. there is none. the other part is, they have no privileges. >> laura: jason, thank you. great panel. up next to giuliani on all this. don't go away (director) cut!

>> laura: that last segment was lots of fun. the anti-trump texting peter strzok on capitol hill. i think it wrapped up 5 minutes ago. that thing never ended. former new york city mayor rudy giuliani. rudy, this was like a marathon. there was a lot of silliness. the democrats were pulling out all these parliamentary tricks. they were talking about kids in cages. i don't know if that had anything to do what was going o on. strzok started off his testimony today with a prepared statement statements. it was almost as if he was projecting himself to be this great savior of the representative democracy that we have. >> in the summer of 2016 we had an urgent need to protect the election from a hostile foreign power determined to weaken and divide the united states of america. this investigation is not
7:25 pm
politically motivated. it is not a witch hunts. it is not a hoax. >> laura: superman. >> rudy: [laughs] the text saying that he had to stop trump. that he had a whole secret plan to stop him. he names he called trump. he should never been involved in the investigation. we shouldn't have to worry if he was biased. if i was running it, i would never have let a partisan like that. normative height of the other people that he hired who have donated money to hillary. cried because she lost, been found to be some of the most unethical prosecutors. particularly wiseman. you're going to get in unethical investigation. >> laura: today he kept saying he was pressed about these text messages, they made him read his own messages.
7:26 pm
he said, i wrote those but that was late in the night. you have to know no legal context. the words were there, he wrote them but he doesn't want to own them. >> rudy: i think he said he didn't remember the stop trump one. >> laura: apparently we have a lot of forgetful fbi agents. i will tell you i spoke to five former fbi agents, including a very high-ranking one. they are glad because they see him as a complete renegade. a criminal, he is not an fbi agent. every organization has some really bad people. this guy's a really bad guy. the reason the democrats look so bad is, they were stupidly defending him. that whole thing, i am innocent. liquored guest. i am innocent because i didn't leak legally. >> laura: that was all we was saying. they in so many other said that.
7:27 pm
>> rudy: it is not a defense to this crime. it is not a defense to bankruptk robbery. it was a ridiculous defense. pathetic for an fbi agent. the guys also arrogant, smug. >> laura: he reminded me a lot of jim comey. the smell of the walmart. when he went down to southern virginia, rural virginia you could smell the trump supporters. he said oh, no, that was, another way of saying something. >> rudy: all those things that he wrote, he was running it for fun. that he didn't believe? meanwhile he instigates an investigation of the president of the united states, then a candidate. to this day they can't find a single bit of evidence that ties president donald trump to any

kind of collusion. >> laura: which is the progress on mueller? >> hannity: they said it is falling apart. >> laura: they hired five more people. >> rudy: they can hire ten more people. with this kind of support mueller fires him but never finds out about it? we don't know the taints that he created in that investigation. that is investigation we are dealing with. a bunch people who have the same political views that he has. >> laura: that came out today. he did not in fact ask any questions about the text when he departed. >> rudy: i was an assistant u.s. attorney, he is writing horrible things about the defendant or the subject in the investigation. he is with about ten other people. i don't find out what he said to them, who we interviewed. >> laura: what does that tell you about mueller? >> it is being run by the same hillary partisans that he has. the same kind of horrible person
