remand pastor brunswick after prison and set the trial date on october 12th, that is not a shock, it is a sham trial. i will say we had a lot of indications even from turkish media which was very strange because i have been on this case since october 2016 when he was first arrested. we have never seen anything positive come out of the turkish media. they were saying no light at the end of the tunnel for pastor brunson and they reported too that diplomats in ankara were expecting him to be released at the july 8th trial. it was somewhat shocking that did not happen. we literally saw the united states jump into action from the president of the vice president, secretary of state and congress within minutes of that ruling on

wednesday. rob: it sounds like president erdogan is trying to hold brunson as a bargaining chip. there was this guy who was a cleric that erdogan says tried to create a coup a few years ago. he is in the united states. sounds like he wants to trade pastor brunson for him. any chance that might happen or are we going to protect this muslim cleric living in pennsylvania? >> i can't speak for the united states but i do know that is not our policy. we don't trade. that would set up a terrible precedent because american citizens would be at risk when they travel internationally. someone could grab them and use them as a bargaining chip. we don't do that and i would not expect the united states to do that. jillian: the white house jumped on this immediately, donald trump sent a tweet thing a total disgrace the turkey will not
