man holding a device, the us embassy was not damaged. rob: the suspect identified himself by his last name, treated at a hospital but it remains unclear, nobody else was hurt. a cop killer behind bars after opening fire because he did not want to go back to jail. the police department grieving over their brother in blue. >> a 17 year veteran well loved by the department. and a friend of mine. rob: officers trying to make an arrest when shots rang out. one other person was hurt. law enforcement lining the streets, milwaukee officer charles irvine junior was killed in a car crash while pursuing a suspect. 15 police officers have been shot with 32 officers killed by gunfire so far this year.

shannon: the fbi believes it has established a solid timeline of the night a college student vanished in iowa. using social media to figure out why molly disappeared, ruling out the boyfriend of a suspect saying he has an alibi but not saying what it is. she was housesitting for her boyfriend the night she disappeared. crews searching the nearby countryside, but not ruling anything out. rob: the push to impeach, rod rosenstein, moving forward. articles of impeachment have been introduced and action could be taken as soon as today. jillian: griff jenkins with the latest on the effort. >> reporter: it was frustration over document production that led the freedom caucus chairman mike meadows to file these

members of the house judiciary oversight intelligence committee they say this resolution to impeach rosenstein is a direct attack on special counsel's investigation, a panicked and dangerous attempt to undermine an ongoing criminal investigation to protect donald trump as the walls are closing in around him and his associates. will this happen? the house voted 10:30 but if they don't get it done they will be on recess until september 4th. this is not a privilege, it is harder to get that vote and we will find out. rob: our house divided, thank you, appreciate it. jillian: democrats up in arms over the impeachment of rod rosenstein. congressman jason chaffetz says the left can complain all they want. rob: this is the constitutional power congress is enforcing.

>> constitutional lever is given to the power of congress to stand up for itself because right now they are totally impotent, they are not able to do anything and the department of justice from their nose and consequently congress can't do its job. the entire top echelon of the fbi has been decimated. people have reside, people have been demoted, somebody has been fired, we have a 560 page inspector general report. it is imperative congress fix this. when rod rosenstein stands in the way of all of that by not allowing congress to do its job, the only way to do that. shannon: it is the last congressional workday before they break for summer. rob: anti-trump fbi agent peter stzrok is likely headed back to capitol hill. he will probably face another growing from lawmakers. he testified for hours for refusing to answer several

questions saying the fbi told him to keep quiet. and fbi attorney told lawmakers instructions will be changed. jillian: secretary of state mike pompeo defense donald trump's 1-on-1 meeting with vladimir putin. >> i am telling you what he had a conversation with vladimir putin about and what us policy is today. i understand the game you are playing. >> i don't appreciate you characterizing my questions. my question is to get to the truth. we don't know what the truth is. jillian: the two leaders discuss election meddling, ukraine and syria but he did not get into specifics. pompeo said he made it clear to russia there will be consequences if they interfere with the midterms. the president with 1-on-1

meetings, general jack keane says no one is going to change the president's personal style and associations. >> it comes down to democrats don't trust the president. it is within his right to have one on one meetings. it is his personal style. he wants to establish a personal relationship, leading to another meeting and get something done. think of our adversaries, china, north korea and russia, he praised all 3 of those leaders. even though we have fundamental disagreements. he wants a personal relationship so maybe we can make some improvements on the disagreements. in some cases it will work and in some cases it won't. we won't change him. that is his style. >> the next summit has been postponed until the beginning of next year. >> the court ordered deadline for children to be reunited with their families. of the 2500 kids separated from their parents at the southern

rob: donald trump breaking down trade barriers with the eu announcing major concessions and a nice cooling of the potential trade war. >> we agreed to work together towards 0 tariffs, nontariff barriers and 0 subsidies, non-auto industrial goods. this was a very big day for free and fair trade. rob: here to expand the impact this will have on your wallet and your economy. this was one of the biggest victories since he has been in office.

imports because china is diminishing with their importing, soybeans are number to export, $14 million, very big export item for the united states and as you said not just soybeans but other agricultural products. the administration has tried to help farmers by putting in place a $12 billion program to bailout those hurt by the trade negotiation and trump has been saying have patience. the truth is the industry should have patience because it is extremely beneficial to farmers and american industrial companies. very exciting. rob: we have china up next. we have to get them on board with that. >> they talk about concluding by the end of the summer. that would be a big surprise and a plus. rob: we appreciate it. jillian: 18 after the hour.

>> one thing to consider is the academic environment. research should be done, when you are pushing a political agenda such as eradication of ice this impact the new agenda of universities and this is troubling and goes back we need to have a society that functions properly and ice has been demonized from the political culture. >> let's talk about this, northeastern has a multimillion dollar contract with ice, the university claims the program is related to weapons trafficking but having any contract with ice at this moment in history is irresponsible and immoral. a lot of these contracts have nothing to do with immigration. that is the interesting part of it, why get rid of it? >> between what happens with immigration and ice, the truth

of the matter, johns hopkins university, they came out against this and said there is no correlation between the two. things a lot of higher learning institutions do is provide medical training for ice, provide a lot of technological training for ice, not just taking people into custody but how to advance the organization and the truth of the matter is ice received a mandate from up above such as the chair of homeland security so all ice does is execute policy and the truth is these are american patriots and we need to stand side-by-side with them because they protect the united states. jillian: you mentioned on hopkins university parting with ice for education and training services and tactical medical training and has done so since 2009. are you worried about the future of law enforcement?

>> i see law enforcement as protectors of our society. i don't think they incur any issues or blemishes as a result because we have strong power in place such as the president of the united states. jillian: going against what you say do you think fewer people wanting to get into law enforcement to be part of ice because they don't know if ice is going to be here. >> this is an aspect of hyperbole. the truth is people line up to become law enforcement agents because they truly want to be that presence in our society because they believe in protecting the citizens of the united states of america. jillian: do you worry about the future of kids who are learning these things? >> the future of our kids i go back to me being a professor and

the 2500 children ages 5 and older who were separated. more than 1000 have been reunited or discharged from custody. the judge overseeing the case and secretary of homeland security kirstjen neilsen confirming the trump administration is on track to reunite all families by today but members of the congressional hispanic caucus committee are still questioning this after meeting with kirstjen neilsen on capitol hill. >> we didn't get many concrete answers or resolve those issues. there is real clarity about our concerns and dissatisfaction with the policies that protect our country. jillian: kirstjen neilsen said the meeting consisted of, quote, productive and frank conversations as tensions continue to rise on the senate floor where lawmakers work on a long-term fix for detention center requirements for illegals.

problem? rob: florida state representative matt caldwell posted the ad and he says it is a problem. he joins us live to react. thanks for coming on. were you shocked to see it got pulled? >> absolutely i was shocked was we are talking basic american values, the second amendment, supporting gun rights, supporting donald trump. how does that qualify for censorship? the real disappointing fact is we asked for it to be reviewed, took an entire day to get a response and did get a response because we called them out in the media for it and in the throes of the campaign, 5 weeks out from primary election, losing precious hours, to tell voters about our support for the president, our endorsement by the nra but what about privacy? as a private citizen, to get these issues resolved they don't have the opportunity to elevate this and put it in the base to

deal with the question. it really is disappointing. you look at this, we want to highlight, marco rubio, matt gates have endorsed me. if i put that up are they too controversial? is that why the next sensor is an outrageous situation. jillian: you did hear back from facebook after a day. what did they say and have you made sure your ad is running? >> our ad is running. we made sure of that and they apologized, they said was not supposed to be flagged. what is the answer? they have a policy you are not allowed potentially some ammunition or guns. this is a fundamental constitutional right. even crazy california in the ninth circuit overturned the ammo than in california and said open carry is constitutional under the second amendment throughout the whole country. a state like vermont, senator bernie sanders, they don't have gun laws.

the fact this is on the list for facebook to flag and catch anybody's expression of their belief in the second amendment is outrageous. why don't they have restrictions on abortion advertisers. that is something that is a serious problem every single day in this country. it shows a bias at the core in terms of what can be advertised and when it can be advertised. rob: reaction from facebook, millions of ads each week, sometimes we make mistakes, overturn the incorrect decision, the ads are running live on facebook. facebook is enormous, to check all of these ads. it is possible a very liberal person maybe saw your ad and i'm going to pool this. >> that could have been the case. we didn't get the details about what happened. this, back to my original point,

they automatically flag anything that has to do with the second amendment. you review the rules for posting and it is likely anybody that shares a view on the second amendment, in florida a colleague of mine posted a job to work for a republican. the fact that at that republican seem to be the trigger that got it pooled and taken down, they had to appeal that. another conservative african-american gun rights supporter who does videos on how to talk about the second amendment and what we should focus on, continually get censored by youtube and different organizations and it goes to the point, you have other controversial issues, my perspective, one of the reasons we got support from marco rubio. how do you justify that? jillian: seems like a period a lot of companies have to figure out. we appreciate it. it is 47 minutes after the hour.

>> reporter: we saw a last-minute rally after stocks were down earlier in the day. the dow added 172 points, the s&p added 25, the nasdaq rose by 91. this after discussions between donald trump and european officials about trade tensions between the two. it was an unexpected announcement. we heard the two sides are working towards 0 tariffs and 0 subsidies on nonauto industrial goods and they are going to try to avoid any talk of tariffs as they work through this. we will see how this works out, dow futures by 20 or so points, the nasdaq and s&p down today but that is based on second-quarter corporate earnings we are expected to get. jillian: how will i tell you i love you? the heart can't do it. >> this is sad.

these conversation hearts and wafers, who knows what will happen to them? their plant in massachusetts unexpectedly shut down earlier this week. the company was purchased by round hill investments, a bankruptcy option. they sold to another company. not sure what the company is or if production will continue. it is the oldest continuously operating candy company in the country. it would be sad to see them go away. rob: just eat a couple tennis. >> they don't say miss your love you. rob: so sweet. jillian: one school district is banned from opening meetings with a prayer. the circuit court of appeals upheld the lower court ruling saying prayers by the unified school district board of education in california is unconstitutional because they invoke christianity.

the decision follows a lawsuit by members of the community and freedom from religion foundation. rob: a new way to pay for college, give a percentage of your future paycheck. what is known as an income share agreement. here's how it works, students qualify when part of their salary after graduation but their tuition is paid. some students like the idea since they would not owe any money since they have a job. the company is working with 30 colleges across the country on this program. we wanted to know what you thought of this, sounds like a student loan plan makes sense to me. is that what a student loan is? they should be paying back the costs, it is a student loan. jillian: interesting option i guess. time for the good, the bad and the ugly.
