american citizens in san francisco where illegal immigrants are allowed to vote in school board elections but isn't the right to vote reserved for citizenship? republican strategist jen current and president of solidarity strategies, thanks for coming on this morning. we are going to start with you. this is a slippery slope. what do you think? is this something democrats want to see going to midterm elections and presidential elections? >> a couple things, one is city council and school board is democratically elected. if they want to make this case they have the right, they have to be accountable to local jurisdiction. if people don't like laws they are passing they can get rid of them. the second point is we are talking the right to vote, this same document used to say women didn't have the right to vote, used to say black folks didn't have the right to vote.

things have changed. my last point is most of these people are legal residents, they are paying schoolboard taxes and i will be darned if i'm paying school board taxes i should be able to vote. >> it is interesting for the last 18 months, all we heard from democrats were how foreign citizens interfered in this election and now you hear from democrats that once foreign citizens to interfere in our elections and have voting rights so that is ironic. chuck out to let his friend that the dnc no allowing illegals to vote and illegally voting in an election is a felony. democrats would be aiding and abetting criminals. i think for local school board races in some of these states that seems fair to me but how this differs from the san francisco law that went into

effect those other states are allowing permanent residents or people with green cards, people who registered in the system already recognized by the us government working their way toward citizenship. compare that to the san francisco law where they are letting every illegal immigrant that comes into the state vote and they have grand plans. if you think they are doing this out of the goodness of their heart the grand design in the end democrats want to improve their voter rolls, they know that is the only way they can win now and they think letting illegals vote is the fast track to do that. rob: i called to our producer's name, sorry about that. allowing noncitizens to water down the voice of american citizens at the voting booth disrespects their sacrifice and value of american citizenship. a lot of people say this is a warning for people entering the country illegally. >> we let them pay taxes.

franchise has been incredible, it has gotten better as it has gone on. one thing i love about tom cruise is he does his own stunts, there is a stunt where he legitimately is jumping out of an airplane 25,000 feet on his own, catching up to a camera operator to stay in focus during the shot. they did this stunt over 105 times. a handful of those stunts done at 25,000 feet, the other at 18,000 feet. this movie is a direct sequel to rogue nation, the fifth film in the franchise, christopher quarry back as the director to direct this film, henry cavil, tom cruise, rebecca ferguson, a great cast and the shot you just saw where he jumped and hit that building, he actually broke his ankle during that sequence and got up and continued to run out of frame and that shot remains in the movie so you see him limping off camera they put production on hold and continued to shoot the movie. to me tom cruise understands what audiences are paying to see

and to give you the fully immersive experience. is this the best mission film? i don't think so. it has a great action set piece, every action scene is amazing, the stunts in my opinion are better than the action story. i don't think it is as good as rogue nation or mission impossible 3 but it is a very solid action movie that is highly worth seeing. i give it four out of five. the action scenes make this movie worth it and wait until you see tom cruise riding a motorcycle through the circle of the arc they triomphe in paris into oncoming traffic, it will make your stomach turn, insane to watch. he is over 55 years old and crushing these stunts. you got to give it to him for putting entertainment as something very high on his mind. rob: an incredible actor, he knows how to fire helicopter. we appreciate it.

of this? >> pre-independent war, 1756. since then it has been paramount never to leave a man behind, at the core of who we are. the korean war particularly was devastating in trying to execute that. it was a war that was chaotic, lost to history and 5000 plus parties still missing. that is something that resonates. imagine being the father or mother or brother or sister or son or daughter and that soldier is still not back, you don't know what happened, don't know where they went and you can't move forward with peace talks or denuclearization without closure and there is no closure because we still have soldiers missing and that is painful and that resonates. i have never left the brother behind and can't imagine what that would be like. i could live with myself moving forward if that was the case.

think of the thousands of lives affected from that one war. it is profound, powerful, necessary and this is a necessary first step. rob: just to highlight that, you said 5300 soldiers never came back from the korean war 70 years ago. we are getting 55 in the next few days. how many more can we expect? how many are accounted for? >> that war in particular was so horrible. it was violence, something we can't imagine, our worst nightmares and identify where those bodies are, bring them back, separate them the way we are with dna evidence with specifically with soldiers, is going to be easy to figure out who is who. the military has gotten really good at.

we will find out who's kids these are and whose parents these are and put them where they deserve to be. jillian: what do you think of the way donald trump has handled north korea and kim jong un and everything we are seeing? >> i come from a military background. you can only have conversations from positions of strength. in the middle east, losing cities i had friends get hurt in, all over afghanistan, watching us lose background in the middle of a war we are still fighting hurt and now we are in a position where 95% of their rack -- iraq has gone to isis. we demolish them in the past year. we are going to drop the biggest bomb that exists in our arsenal.

going to get cut, who is going to make the team, how many wins the giants are going to have, we are talking about controversy which is terrible for the nfl. jillian: i have so many thoughts about this. i have witnessed malcolm jenkins doing a lot of good in the community. i didn't grow up an african american man. i don't know the struggles they claim to have, the reason they are protesting. i didn't grow up you. we didn't have the same experience. it is hard to say you are wrong but a lot of people are saying we need to get to a point where we can allow these players to have conversations, allow ourselves to listen to them while having respect for the flag. how do we get to that point? >> it is an empty gesture. offend a lot of people, a lot of protesters say it is not about the flag or the military except it is because it is going on and veterans are particularly impacted by the power of the

flag but there is no cut follow-up, no conversation. it is based on a falsehood. colin kaepernick says there are dead bodies in the street and people being murdered, cops are indiscriminately murdering black men. that is not happening, there are studies all over the place, that doesn't happen. harvard has a study that says that doesn't happen. there have been bad people, bad cops in a nation of 300 million people, there are some bad people, some racist people but on balance we are not a racist country, and unjust country, colin kaepernick who started this thing, also said this is an unjust country for people of color. the number one issue in this country is immigration and that is people of color who want to

come into this country because it is such a great country. i don't buy the foundation of this protest. are there problems? absolutely but the way they have gone about it and the conversation to find common ground and solutions. jillian: you hit on something, we are not able to hear each other or have these conversations because it transpired the last two years, it has been a long time, no one in sight. >> one of the problems is there is nothing worse than being called a racist. a lot of people don't want to speak up for being accused of being a racist. that causes all kinds of conversation and dialogue and you never get a solution. they should adopt that policy right now. lack of leadership on this, we are putting it off on teams, we don't have that policy, they need to be pooled like jerry jones was. jillian: appreciate it, 6 minutes until the top of the our, while the escape caught on camera, this prisoner got out of
