"america's news hq" from washington. 1:00 p.m. eastern as this is starting to get underway. i am doing better. liz: this is already a year ago we have it and will happen. elizabeth prann. thanks for joining us. let's check in with peter doocy at the unite the right. -we are at the foggy bottom metro stop and the reason for that is that unite the right rally demonstrators and we don't know how many there are going to be. they made at the metro station in northern virginia 15 miles from here, 10 metro stops away and they were all writing together. the organizer, jason tessler was not able to get a permit for the unite the right in charlottesville last year once to have as many people altogether as they can and they will come here. so far we have noticed there are more police officers than normal, but otherwise because we are still a few hours away from
10:02 am
the expect the arrival of these demonstrators who say they are going to have a civil rights rally in front of the white house. there is just not a whole lot yet. once they get here, the plan is as we understand according to organizers, these demonstrators will march down 23rd street and turn down pennsylvania and that will take them to the white house. right now it is just a normal sunday afternoon outside of the university hospital, foggy bottom metro. we have seen throughout the day dozens if not hundreds of police on bicycles and a large millions. it seems like they have been just kind of practicing, making sure they know where they can and to keep the demonstrators apart from any counter protesters because again, it's not a secret that this is the

is all about. take a listen. >> we are here to the arrival of neo-nazis in d.c. we want to show we don't have to live in fear, that we cannot resistance to the far right and stop them from claiming space in our cities. -while they have a permit, this will go down from noon until 2:00. a core group of mental march back towards the white house a few blocks from lafayette. they will begin to march there. a few people here, there's some children out here. there some parents out here and they said if things get to be contested, that clearly what you're going to have according to listening to peter talk about the small number turning out for unite the right. this group is growing and getting much larger. we will see this all afternoon, guys.

any one coming year may handle about it doesn't or more. they are prepared for this demonstration. liz: they are at different locations. obviously when kidneys groups can mean. how do authorities prepare for that and keep them separated for two large groups? >> what they are going to do is count on two things today. there are a lot of barriers in place to keep these two groups separated. the second thing from what i understand if they may have a large amount of rain coming in here this afternoon and that will be certainly something that may temper these two groups in the way they get together. liz: when we looked at charlottesville, people would use anything for weapons, even the most grotesque items. do you see this as a district or there is not one way and in one way out. how are please making sure that items such as cancer aerosols or other things are being used. >> they have all sorts of sent
