i called for a nonpartisan complete investigation by experts to all aspects of this whole election. we have to get to the bottom of this. we have to have testimony that's open to the public, not behind closed doors of the grand jury. the american public is entitled to know what these things mean. i have no idea what these firewalls are referring to, but it's enough to open up some kind of investigation. can i comment just briefly on, your opening monologue? i wrote a piece for "the boston globe" arguing thatr if the president revokes the security clearance only of hisui critics, that would raise a serious first amendment question. it would be a close question because he's not shutting them down, people can say what they want. they can criticize him, they just don't have access to the material. if they don't have access to thn material, what that means it's some way punishing for their expression of political views, then i think you can have some first amendment issues that are raised. i don't know how the case would come out.
