following donald trump's decision to revoke john brennan's security clearance and several other obama era officials could be next. rob: joining us to explain why the move was warranted is former special forces veteran and president of security studies group jim hansen, thanks for coming back. the politicization, a hard one to say, of the justice department is a new problem. do you think this got started under the obama administration where they started to look out for the democratic party? >> absolutely. one of the biggest problems this country has seen was the use of state power including our intelligence apparatus to smear a political opponent. all of the obama team seems to have been involved in this and the dnc is an external organization. the steel dossier which was funded by the dnc went into the

by vladimir putin should not be anywhere near us intelligence information ever and that is why you revoke his clearance as opposed to pulling his access. he needs to be stopped so a new president if a democrat comes in office can't return him to a position where he has access to that information ever again. rob: a baseless claim of treason which is a huge claim to make. we have seen everything leak out of washington in the past couple years, somehow this big thing everybody wants him of the collusion, hasn't leaked out so making that claim is a big step. the officials under review right now, so many for your names, dates clapper, james comey, sally yates, susan rice, andrew mc abe, peter stzrok, lisa page and the new darling of this, bruce ohr at the end. how many should go? >> i don't think any of the people on that list should have access to intelligence information. a second step to revoke the

clearance would require a misdeed. simply being an opponent of donald trump is not warranted revoking clearance but brennan went beyond that. the other thing to keep in mind is there are ongoing investigations and many of the people you names, brennan included are suspects for leaking classified information to the media that was used to smear trump and generate the idea that there was trump russia collusion. so far the only evidence seems to point that the collusion was between democrats outside and democrats inside the trump, the obama administration to smear donald trump. they need to look at all those people and see if they were the ones doing the leaking. jillian: thank you for your time. 18 after the hour. he was arrested at the airport

you can have someone from both parties making the case for what the president is doing and what he should be doing but it should be covered fairly. there have been multiple cases with cnn and the new york times where they completely botched several reportings with relation to the administration and administration officials. rob: accidents happen, no business is perfect, there are going to be mistakes on any side of the media. what has been the most disappointing is some places took the bait on this and decided to expose themselves, how much they don't like the president in the wake of his comments. some outlets have gone completely anti-trump and to some extent help to prove his deka where they would have done themselves a better service to
