1:35 am
not this all started from something real. does the president have a point here, here to debate that fox news contributor richard fowler and independent women's patrice, guys, thanks so much for coming on this morning, i want to start from a quote from the article, white house counsel don mcgann has cooperated, mcgann and lawyer feared that mr. trump was setting up mr. mcgann to take the blame for any possible illegal acts of obstruction according to people close to him, so he and his lawyer mr. burke divides own strategy to do much as possible to cooperate with mr. mueller to demonstrate that mr. mcgann did nothing wrong, the time says richard, that mcgann may have turned on the president, what did you make of the article. >> at first i didn't know what to believe when i read the article. yesterday on another network rudy giuliani answered the questions, well, didn't answer them, and further to say that he wasn't sure what mcgahn said in
1:36 am
30-hour conversation with mueller team. if they were working together and president trump had sent mcgahn down to talk to mueller he would know what mueller said and the fact that the trump team doesn't know has raised eye bow for me, mind you, none of us know what is happening in mueller investigation, we haven't heard a word from him in almost 12 months, he's been focused on getting to the bottom of it and less focused on having conversation with the media. rob: the president knew that mcgahn was going to go down there and the president said in a tweet he has nothing to hide there. what do you think. >> i think "the new york times" article is pure speculation, they are suggesting because mcgahn talked for 30 years with the mueller team this is him flipping, in fact, this is the president -- the legal team strategy for the president which is open, honest and provide as much access to, you know, staff, to documents that could help the mueller team figure out what's really happening and if nothing happened close the investigation down, granned all of this
1:37 am
access, all of the interviews with over, what, three dozen different staffers and we still have yet to see any evidence of collusion of cover-up of collusion or obstruction of justice by president trump, then you have to wonder what is the mueller team really doing or what do they have up their sleeve if anything. >> patrice, the thing that we are waiting is because the mueller investigation is still not over, there's still more things to do, the fact that they talk today mcgahn for 30 years and rudy giuliani does not know what was said in the meeting should raise an eyebrow and should worry trump supporters. rob: let me bring this up, i found this particularly thing in the article, white house counsel said the president's lawyers had been careless in not asking mr. gahn what he plans to tell prosecutors, he say that is the white house and the president were careless but another great explanation for this, do
1:38 am
whatever you want, i have nothing to hide here and something that's this important it would be hard to imagine that they would be this careless, isn't it? >> well, i would usually agree with you but here lie it is problem, mcgahn has separate defense, does not have a defense cooperation agreement with the trump team which rudy giuliani confirmed yesterday in another network raises the eyebrows for me, am i saying this is true and i know what happened in the meeting, none of it, only mueller and team does. i didn't want to believe "the new york times" article at first but rudy giuliani did a good job of confirming pieces yesterday in an interview with another network. rob: patrice, final word? >> we don't know what's happening, once again, this is pure speculation and intense to try to get the president to sit down with mueller and perhaps perjure himself and would be wise for him not to do, whatever giuliani said, i don't think he's trying to undermine what
1:39 am
don mcgahn has sat down and said. >> how do we know that? the truth is the truth. >> we don't know but we will see, let's just hope that at the end of the day there's nothing, there's nothing. rob: that's it, guys, we have to leave it there. that's the highlight hit from the weekend with rudy giuliani, guys, thanks so much, we appreciate your time. >> thank you. >> 40 minutes after the hour, lucky to be alive caught on camera, look at this, the shocking moment that indy driver is catapulted through the air and incredibly terrifying collusion, unbelievable. >> we are going to win so much you may get tired of winning and you'll say, please, please, it's too much winning. rob: more winning, brand-new study says workers about to take home their biggest paycheck in years, why our next guest says we have the president to thank but first, a quick look at the weather across the country, find
