year, people felt the same. that's a good question. >> juan: i am interested in john kerry. he said at this point he thinks our democracy is being challenged. this is a guy who, i imagine, he went to a very elite prep school. then he goes to yale. he makes a decision to go to war, to go fight for the countr country. of course has all sorts of issues about the war in vietnam and comes back and changes his mind. is then subject to lots of criticism. i would be curious, looking back, what does he think of that episode? he says he says life is a blessing. >> dana: he does right about that quite extensively in his book and he does that he wishes he had fought back harder in 2004 when he thinks he was unfairly targeted on that issue. >> juan: especially by comparison to trump who i guess had trouble with heel spurs or something.

>> jesse: who are you going to have on next week? eric holder and susan rice? [laughter] i would ask john kerry, because donald trump mocks him for riding his bicycle all over. i would ask him if he is sensitive about that. in all seriousness, i would ask woodward. it looks like he gets these composite interviews where he doesn't name the source but he focuses on an instance for a moment and then tries to talk to people that know about the moment. does he relied primarily throughout the book, it seems to me, i am just guessing, i may be one or two fired trump senior administration officials that seem to color most of the instances. or did he make a very good effort to try to get a wide variety of players in each scene? >> dana: he says in the book and in interviews he's done since that he does have a wider view any stock to multiple people. he says this will bear out. this will hold up.

we will have a chance to talk to him about that in particular. i think people are very interested in the process and i'm interested in what greg thinks about his method. deep background. as a former editor, what you think. >> greg: i want to say you have the author of "all the presidents men,." you have woodward and and a mae of wood. i don't trust anything woodward has done. i have looked back at his history, and i find a lot of problems. obviously the bill casey deathbed interview with something he hasn't answered fo for. casey's security saying it's impossible for him to have visited him. i wouldn't up with that in a book. if someone is visiting someone on their deathbed and he claims casey gave him this incredible information that cannot be verified, that would strike me as fraudulent. there is no proof of it. i think it's fraudulent. >> jesse: should dana asked him about that?

i also think you should bring up the john belushi book. >> greg: people think that was the one of the worst books ever written that portrayed john belushi unfairly and that it was a terrible book. >> dana: i only have a few minutes. >> greg: asking about why a lot of its friends believe "all the presidents men," is filled with errors. >> dana: attention to have this opportunity. >> greg: i am kidding. >> dana: it's interesting. i worked in a white house where four woodward books were written. i don't know how many he wrote about the obama administration. three? this is probably not the first trump book and also this book has broken incredible records for preorders already. we'll have a chance to talk to him tomorrow. his first interview on fox and then john kerry as well, which i am excited for.
