schmitt. brett kavanaugh and the white house firing back after new assault allegations surfaced against supreme court nominee, several of kavanaugh's yale classmates are denying the latest claims. jillian: garret tenney from washington, d.c. how democrats are delaying. >> one of the classmate debra ramírez said kavanaugh expose today her during drinking game at party. ramírez admitted that she doesn't fully remember the incident because she was highly intoxicated when it allegedly took place, one anonymous classmate said that he was told about the incident several days later but four other classmate who is were allegedly at the party including one of ramírez's best friends told the new yorker they never saw or heard about the incident, judge kavanaugh is also adamantly denying the allegations saying in a statement this alleged event from 35 years ago did not happen, the people who knew me

tracee: good morning, finally relief for passengers, congress is looking at a bill that would order the faa to investigate and establish a minimum size for airline seats which have been shrinking. they'd also have to investigate the size and number of airplane bathrooms and come up with new guidelines for passengers who fly with their service animals. the bill would also block the involuntary bumping of passengers who were already seated on the plane and then also includes some requirements that airlines clearly state their policies for handling delayed flights and assisting those who are disabled, now all of this has to be passed or looked at by the deadline which is september 30th, so hopefully for us passengers this will mean something good. >> from the best story of the day to possibly the worst story of my life. tracee: this is interesting. maybe rob you can confirm this since you were just in europe. french fries in europe are expected to shrink because of a

something that shouldn't have been politicized and secondly, you know, keith ellison is, you know, getting preferencial treatment, now it's out there, you know, everyone needs to be heard. i think the question now becomes for the members to have senate judiciary committee, you know, we just went through the fact that dr. ford is now going to be testifying, they struck that deal on thursday i believe at 10:00 in the morning, that's going to happen, are they now going to hear from the new accuser from yale? if not, why not? and, you know, is this going to, for example, give more cover for red state democrats to vote no or swing republicans who are on the fence like a jeff flake or, you know, a susan collins, for example. it becomes so much more

complicated now, the issues are out there, they have to be dealt with. rob: over to you, the people who are still defending kavanaugh and there are a lot of them, is the thinking that this is -- if they called this a smear campaign, is the thinking that the three women are all inventing the story if there are three and sounds like there are at this point, there's two that we know of, what do you think? >> well, we don't know what happened and we probably never will -- rob: you have 3 women. yeah, if you have three different people that's when it starts getting, one person, you know, it could be a mistake, something like, 3 it starts to sound iffy. >> well, we will hear what everyone has to say. in terms of the second allegation the new yorker wasn't even able to confirm that kavanaugh was at the party in question. the accuser didn't come forward until a period of time consulting with the democratic

attorney, a lot of different things at play here. of course, the women might be telling the truth but we can't allow a man's career and reputation to be completely ruined based on allegations for which there's no evidence or proof of. rob: capri, we will give you last word, some of the allegations go back 30 to 40 years, how do you prove this? >> it's a challenge, try to fill in blanks where there may or may not be witnesses, this is one of the witnesses, you know, issues of sexual assault are that very difficult to -- to litigate in court, the whole situation is really unfortunate and what's going to end up happening the people that want to believe those that are the accusers, the accusers are going to believe the women and those who will believe kavanaugh will believe kavanaugh and everybody has their own camps and in the meantime people's lives are up-ended. rob: yeah, even in a situation like this, it becomes
