heinrich. thanks for coming on this morning. the question is what does the rest of the world need to hear if the president wants them to join up with him and marginalize this regime? >> iran's behavior has not moderated and needs to be given opportunity after opportunity to do so. it did not moderate when the jcp oa, the iran deal president obama negotiated with the iranian regime, to stop iran's nuclear program and to moderate the regime. if it took all the iranian regime sanctions relief rather than investing in its own people it continued to export terrorism. destabilizing the region, export testing ballistic missiles and now the trump administration is think we won't let you continue this malign activity so we will continue to try to isolate you. the next round of sanctions

against iran take effect november 4th and that is going to be very very damaging and heavy for the iranian regime. they have to turn some things around. jillian: a tough talk is expected from donald trump. is there a chance he takes it in another direction or sticks with what he sees? >> if we look at what he has done with the north koreans, he does this two part thing. he shows he is willing to implement tough sanctions, to squeeze the regime, to use this tough talk, even threats of military force in the case of north korea, all those things donald trump is willing to do if he put the pressure on and reaches out ahead and says let's talk. if you want relief from that there is a way and it will be up to you. the iranian regime is at fault here. the iranian regime is oppressing its people, the biggest are to the iranian people, donald trump is trying to let them see if there's another way but they will have to make a decision.

heard brett kavanaugh say over and over again that i want to fair process to defend my integrity. at this point do you think that is actually something that is going to happen? do you think democrats will let that happen? will let the process take over? >> i do. democrats don't want to rush to judgment. that is not what people want. what people want is a full opportunity for brett kavanaugh to prove his integrity and the fact that he is the man he says he is and these things did or did not happen. everyone deserves due process, brett kavanaugh and his accusers deserve to have a full investigation which would include an fbi investigation. jillian: on the democratic side already we reported some are calling for his impeachment if he is confirmed. >> that is probably not the way to go about it.

you absolutely need to have a full investigation. that is what democrats are calling for. most people want do process. we can't just go off accusations but at the same time these need to be treated seriously. one of the things chuck grassley has done is said, quote, we want to move on. that is a terrible way to approach these kinds of things, sets a terrible precedent for women who are claiming sexual assaults. jillian: i want to get to you in a second but i want to hear the soundbite from mitch mcconnell and get your reaction on the back of it. >> democrats wouldn't let a few inconvenient things like a complete lack of evidence or an accuser's request for confidentiality to get between them and good smear. it is despicable. the new york times refused to even run a story about it. jillian: what is your take? at this point it is hard to say this is fact, hard to say anything until we hear all the

facts. >> this is frankly messy and disorganized and not how things should be. doctor ford deserves the respect she has been given by the committee. that process should see itself out. i would give chairman grassley a lot of credit for how he managed this process. it is not something that can be going on for weeks and weeks and months and months and i thought the interview was extremely compelling and important also that doctor ford is heard as well. jillian: what happened to the presumption that you are innocent until proven guilty, now it seems it is the opposite. >> again i am a firm believer in due process. he has the opportunity -- jillian: your party isn't really acting -- >> i don't agree. most people have been calling for further investigation

particularly from the fbi. is chuck grassley and others who tried to rush the process, unfair to his accusers and unfair to brett kavanaugh who deserves the full scope of due process, deserves the opportunity to be able to say to his daughters i did not do this and there is evidence that says i did not do it. jillian: you hear so many people say i believe him, i believe her, making these beliefs known without all the facts. i don't know how either of them goes on and is able to clear their name for the rest of their life. >> it is incredible difficult but this is why we have the committee doing what it is doing in the process, it comes down to what committee members believe. it comes to credibility on both sides. there's only one way to go about this and that is how this process is a managed fairly, just recently found out about the accusations, they knew about them for some time and they deserve a lot of credit for how

rob: for defense, 679 $7 billion for this defense department, $170 billion for health and education, human services, labor and things like that. defense is the big one and entitlements get a lot of money as well. it is interesting as you said. republicans are watching the budget, they have become very comfortable letting the national debt rise to the $21 trillion range. >> if you follow agencies like the peterson agency, the peterson foundation, you will see a constant reminder of the ticking clock and how high it is and republicans used to complain about obama, spending and adding to the debt. >> $10 trillion. >> for republicans to have this on our side is not full.
