not here. heather: we heard the president say there were record number of appointments so far. we can show people, compare that to president obama at this point, george w. bush had 14 appointments, donald trump had 26 appointments so far. >> with another 11 vacancies in his first two years. it is really critical for this election, november 6th, who controls the u.s. senate because the president nominates but the senate confirms. this will have a major effect on the upcoming elections. think of it, last year when they appointed neil door search 20 democrats went along so the upcoming hearing on the supreme court the democrats may tip the balance, it is really -- replacing kennedy but he is not. it is really important and the federal courts below the half become like others on the supreme court.

know the system and they know the law. for the president this is a big debate between the president and the democrats, liberals want activist judges, someone to rewrite the laws. heather: the not just in the appellate court but the supreme court. >> the president said he would appoint judges who would interpret the law. that is what the constitution says, to write the laws and it is up to the courts to interpret the laws so those judges, brett kavanaugh had decisions that were printed. you are seeing he has been there for a while, appointing other younger federal judges and people who voted for donald trump and people voting for 35 senate seats prefer these experienced judges and more conservative judges. heather: we will see how that transitions into the midterms. appreciate it, great insight. the time is 20 minutes until the

flight ones from florida to the nation's capital and one of the big things happening on board were all the veterans sharing different stories from different wars. share with us the moments that happened on the flight itself before you arrived in dc. >> one of the parts i want to let everybody know is it was a female crew, pilots and flight attendants. i was able to sit with 95-year-old nurse and spoke with her about why she joined the army and the army offered to pay for her nursing degree, she signed up for that program and had the honor and privilege of serving 46 overseas. as well as meeting doctors,

truck drivers, such a variety of jobs women do and have done in war zones and the combat support they provide is an amazing day to hear all their stories as well as to watch them experience this. heather: talk about the day in dc once you landed. >> it was nonstop. we had in total ten different stops everywhere we went starting with the arrival at dca to every monument we have been through, veterans, supporters, children, active-duty servicemembers. they couldn't thank us enough. just to share with us their thanks for what we have done.
