>> welcome back. as the fbi begins its seventh investigation into judge brett kavanaugh. many conservatives wondering where are the investigations into the leaking of dr. ford's letter or the doxxing of gop senators during the hearing. here to explain, ned ryan. ned, i bet most of our viewers are not familiar with this term doxxing. what does it mean, and how does it happen? >> i mean, it's the public releasing of personal information, and what took place is that somebody -- and it looks like an ip address related to the house of representatives -- doxxed republican senators, putting out their personal information home addresses, cell phone numbers. you hope that they'll be intimidated, that that they'll be harassed.

was. it wasn't clear to me that that was the case. >> how could that the no be clear to -- not be clear to her? >> pete, first of all, dianne feinstein and her staff should be put under oath and asked very directly, did the you or did you not leak that letter to the press. second of all, the lawyers for dr. ford should also be put under oath, did you fully inform your client that senator grassley offered to send private investors to you -- investigators to you in california to have a conversation. and i'll tell you why we ended up where we did on thursday, because dianne feinstein and those political lawyers, they wanted a public hearing. we need to understand was their client fully informed. the other thing they should be doing, pete, the fbi and the treasury should be looking into whether any of these accusers who are making uncorroborated allegations have been financially compensated for making these charges. and i've got to tell you, pete,

this next week i think is going to be an absolutely brutal week -- pete: who has the power to find these things out? who needs to press the envelope? who leaked it, you know, all these -- was the offer ever relayed? how do we find it out? >> i think what they have to do is encourage the fbi to put these people under oath, have these conversations and say, you know what? we're just going to ask you a few is simple questions, again, underpotential perjury, but the point i want to the make, this is about so much more than just simply confirming brett kavanaugh. do the we actually believe in due process, do we believe in the rule of law and do we actually believe in the presumption of innocence until proven guilty. and i'm telling you, if we have decided that we are going to accept guilt by allegation, that somebody's guilty because we say they're guilty, that is a

obviously. and my father often said that with roe v. wade in particular, but other cases as well the court was really trying to come in and settle a cultural issue that should have been resolved in elections, through elections and the legislative process by trying to short circuit that process, the supreme court caused more damage. and as a result, supreme court nominations and confirmation battles have become more heated because justice the have take telephone on the role that properly belongs to legislator the. rachel: i would note that it seems more heated when conservatives are are up for the nomination. but you say it really doesn't matter or who was up, whether it was the kavanaugh or any of the other names on the nomination list, you think this was going to happen no matter what. >> it was pretty clear from the beginning that, you know, the groups already had signs basically fill in the blank. they were doing mad libs protesting before president trump nominatedded kavanaugh

specifically. they were going to act pretty, pretty aggressively against any nominee, and when it was clear that kavanaugh was qualified and he handled the first set of hearings well, they resorted to this other plan which is really just a delay plan. i think we've seen your last guest pointed to some of the cynicism of the process about how they sat on that letter. i don't think they're terribly -- or at least initially weren't terribly interested in the truth. they're interested in delay and in casting enough doubt in the minds of some red state democrats. griff: chris, very quickly, what would your dad say about the fact that the democrats are now saying because kavanaugh defended himself against these accusations, he now can't be an impartial juror? >> well, part of the argument is that he was so angry during the hearing that he doesn't have a judicial temperament. they're kr

technology and infrastructure, you kind of have this balance that creates an environment for the criminal organizations to exploit. so some of the statistics that we're looking at are we're looking at over 62,000 family units and over 20,000 unaccompanied children for the year. so the smuggling organizations are really exploiting the loopholes that we have in the current immigration law. and the other, the other half of the apprehensions are the narcotics smuggling, the ms-13, the criminal aliens and also illegal immigrants coming and looking for a better way of life. but bottom line we need, we just need the wall. i think the capacity for the interagency is being overwhelmed just because the flow of narcotics and the illegal aliens is so heavy. griff: and, chief, you know, the human smuggling has real

rather, about calling out nbc. here's what the president tweeted: nbc news incorrectly reported, as usual, that was limited the f.b.i. investigation of judge kavanaugh and witnesses only certain people. actually i want them to interview whoever they deem appropriate at their discretion. please correct your reporting." obviously trying to set the record straight that it is a one-week investigation, and they are specifically going to talk to a handful of people that have been brought up already this week. and the president's saying, " "look. i'm not trying to stifle anything." pete: bring out folks from the f.b.i. and they say an investigation of this kind, of this scope, they could do it in their sleep and they could do it in a lot less than one week. so that's not a limiting scope. and the president pointing they're trying to pretend yet again i'm throwing a roadblock in this. if anything, i've thrown it wide open. rachel: yesterday one of the people we had on they said they'll investigate the pen marks on -- the writing on his
