beat the hell out of him. and talked about pocahontas and elizabeth warren. she actually looks conservative now compared to the rest of the party. steve: it was a wide ranging speech. regarding mr. kavanaugh, yesterday, the president and the house did authorize the fbi to talk to anybody you want. go anywhere you want. be done by friday. mitch mcconnell said he would bet almost anything dems would be unsatisfied. at the same time senate democrats sent to the fbi a list two of dozen names of people they would like the fbi to interview. and debra ramirez who was the second accuser, back in the day at yale, sent them a list with 20 names on it. so, clearly, if the fbi were going to do that it might run past friday. brian: mark judge was interviewed yesterday. they didn't finish of the interview. reportedly when he was asked about the swetnick accuser that you are about to hear about now, julie swetnick, he just said there is absolutely nothing to it he doesn't know where that came

from. all she is doing is accusing maybe next supreme court justice of putting drugs in a punch bowl. ainsley: spiking. brian: yeah. as well as being a witness or taking part in gang rapes. aside from that i don't see sensational. ainsley: discrepancies in her statements versus the interview she had with kate snow. kate snow talked about that on air and said there were discrepancies and said. so statements, some of her statements didn't match up such as she said in her statement she became aware of his efforts, meaning mark judge and kavanaugh's efforts to spike out punch. in the interview she said actually i saw them neither punch bowl. brian: same thing. steve: listen to the written statement she had given was very damning. remember her attorney is michael avenatti. yet, in the nts in the nbc intet sounds like she has witnessed brett kavanaugh giving out red solo cups to a few girls.

watch that. >> in that statement swetnick said she became aware of efforts by kavanaugh and his friend mark judge to spike punch at parties. in our interview, she said she saw them near the punch but did not specifically say she saw either man spike it. >> did you see brett kavanaugh, you know, spiking the punch? >> well, i saw him giving red solo cups to quite a irfew girls during that time frame. i saw him around the punch i won't say bowls or containers. i don't know what he did. but i saw them by him. >> are there friends who remember these parties, too. >> i think everybody in the county remembers those parties. >> we haven't heard from those friends. so i'm asking, you know, are there people. >> yes. >> alive today. >> yeah. yes. >> went to those parties with you. >> there are people that know about those parties. >> this morning swetnick provided names of four friends who went to the parties with her. one of them says he does not recall a julie swetnick. another friend she named is

deceased. we reached out to the other two and haven't heard back. brian: she was assaulted but she says she doesn't know if brett kavanaugh walls one of the people that assaulted her. but, if he was, he should never be in a supreme court justice seat. true, is what she said true? steve: different from the statement. in the statement she had said that he was spiking the punch a as i as i remember it there she could not remember whether he did spike it but she said he was handing out red solo cups. ainsley: there were also other things that stuck tout to me. she said he had a very distinctive face. she called him mark kavanaugh and corrected herself correctly sorry, brett kavanaugh. so she mixed mark judge's name with brett kavanaugh, which could happen but it made me think just maybe she is not as close or doesn't know him as well as she is claiming. to say she did answer the question we were talking why is a college student going to a high schooler's party. she said parties age 15 to

25 at these parties. at community college at the time and kavanaugh was in high school. brian: it's just such a damning accusation. you would think there would be more to back it up before you sign up michael avenatti and become international news. you are basically telling someone -- i mean, that's a criminal offense to put drugs in somebody's drink and then to say you got online for gang rape and now she says i just saw people gathered around. ainsley: i'm so sorry if that happened to her. you can't go on national television and release a statement saying all these claims and when you are interviewed your story changes. her exboiferld was on with laura ingraham and claiming she is very litigious and always talked about lawsuits. he said she can't be trusted. he did file a restraining order in march of 2001. he actually didn't go to court because he and his family decided not to because he was worried about the repercussions and what she might do to his family.

he said she threatened to kill them and their unborn child. steve: i believe of the accuser she is the only one the fbi has not reached out to at this point. brian: some are saying should do you that, alan dershowitz told us yesterday i would start there start at number three and work my way backwards because he believes that's the least credible of all of them. ainsley: she did make unsubstantiated sexual misconduct claims against some of her employers. one of hers accused her of lying about education and workplace experience. steve: more of that coming up. plus, what happened after a ub 40 concert in 1985. it sounds like mr. kavanaugh threw ice on a guy. a friend threw a glass that cut a guy's face. ainsley: he hasn't confirmed that bar fight at college at yale when he was a junior and guy gets his right ear cut and goes to the hospital. evidence said kavanaugh threw ice and kavanaugh's friend threw a glass. brian: among the people who

democrat. so, i think it's just super, super important to just look at it and understand that women all around, you know, the country are watching right now but not everyone agrees with the left. ainsley: what did you think about each of the individuals, dr. ford and judge kavanaugh during the hearings? what went through your mind? >> well, so during the trial, you know, or during the hearings i wanted to take a step back and understand that, you know, dr. ford, you know, might be telling the truth but judge kavanaugh also is innocent until proven guilty. and so i decided to listen to both of their sides, you know, just with an open mind. and although i do hear dr. ford and i believe she has been through this hurt before, i don't believe as ethical and well-respected as judge kavanaugh is the one who hurt her. ainsley: you have said this is upsetting and disheartening, you say that sexual assault accusations

have become a weapon. what do you mean by that? >> well, so you see that the left is desperately trying to slow down president trump's agenda. you know, the more that these false accusations come out. it's kind of like the boy who cried wolf. you know, i think it's a disgrace to women who actually have been sexually assaulted to use them as a weapon to try to slow down president trump's agenda. ainsley: i know you were at the i stand with brett at that rally we saw during those confirmation hearings. what was it like to be outside and were you heckled by the other side? >> well, so i columbia. i have not been in d.c. what i can tell you is being on the other side, you know, in columbia on a college campus, you really see people give you dirty looks. ainsley: has it opened up conversation and dialogue among your friends, among the girls on campus? >> yeah. so that's something that definitely goes on, you know, especially girls in my

did you realize you wanted to take action on this? >> we first seen the flag and we didn't know about it until it was on ebay two days prior to my brother passing on friday. and when we seen it, and actually looked at the video from the actual storm and how that flag stood tall, stood firm and was resilient and persevered and found out it was named kevin, we said that's our brother kevin. that's what he did. he never gave up. always persevered and always fought even in the middest of the strongest storm. steve: richard, why is it you thought that auctioning this off would be a good idea? >> well, you know, there are so many people that spent a lot of time and effort taking care of people. it seemed that rather than hanging on the wall and just looking at it, let's instead turn it into good use help the people still outplaced from their homes even right now. >> are you surprised it raised over $10,000?

>> well, based on just the views and the way that people were paying attention to it as it was flying and it was having difficulty being torn apart, i knew it would pull at the heart strings like it did mine. brian: mike, now the flag seems to be in the news all the time. what does it mean for you and your family? >> well, again, our brother kevin was -- he was an incredible man, he never lost his composure even in the most difficult of times through his life. and that's the way we try to live ourselves. he battled through many, many situations and you know we all face battles in our lives and face challenges and storms. if we just are courageous and stand tall, stand firm, you will come through, you will come through stronger on the other end. brian: will you frame it. >> we are going to put it in a nice box frame. we haven't coach the exact words and a plaque but it's going to honor our men and

spy on her payroll for 20 years. we have people like richard blumenthal who lied about being a combat veteran in vietnam. and these people are going to sit in judgment over brett kavanaugh, who has a spotless reputation? look at what they have done in just the last 10 days. they are so desperate to stop this good man, this godly man, they have tried to accuse him of being a serial rapist. they tried to accuse him of trying to kill this woman, dr. ford. and now what's the latest charge when they can't make anything stick? this is like an snl skit. he threw ice over somebody 30 years ago in college. they are loco. it's unbelievable. steve: there was some sort of a police report filed but he was not charged. you know, you are right. it wound up in the pages of the "new york times" u sebastian, you know why the democrats are doing. this they would liking to

♪ brian: all right. the investigation into judge brett kavanaugh's background continues. his high school friend, mark judge, who is accused of witnessing christine ford's alleged assault started with the fbi interview on monday but didn't finish it. what is the fbi looking for with mark and others. could the investigation end up working in judge kavanaugh's favor? here with insight is former fbi special agent tim clemente. you believe that in the end this will work towards kavanaugh's favor. why? >> what we saw in the hearings last week was incomplete story. allegations were made by dr. ford and by others outside of the senate committee that made accusations that he did specific things at specific times. dr. ford's testimony was very vague. there wasn't a lot of information. not a lot of specifics, specifics lead to credibility. and so if i'm an investigator, and i'm going to look furnished into this case, i'm going to look for those specifics. i'm going to ask dr. ford

when were you first introduced to brett kavanaugh? how did you know it was brett kavanaugh? what was his -- the introduction? was it a good friend that was dating his best friend? were you dating his best friend? i know there was some intersection between their circles of friends. we need to get deeper into this to find out how does she know who brett kavanaugh is. she is making accusations it's decades later she identifies him. that's pretty vague in my view. brian: not even clear if they are going to talk to dr. ford again. not clear if they are going to talk to swetnick again at all. it's not clear how far they will go. with debra ramirez, they spoke to her, the new yorker second accuser. she has recommended they talk to other people. and then you look at democrats i wants to you talk to 23 people. when do you stop following the branches? >> you stop following the branches when you get to a dead one. in other words, if they talk to ramirez friend and she doesn't allow any information to come forward that corroborates ramirez story at all, that branch

kind of ends. did you go off on other directions, swetnick her allegations seem so incredible that i believe the fbi doesn't think there is any credibility to it. and after the interview last night it, seems there is no credibility at all. brian: when i get my report, tim, bowers the president gets his report and grassley gets his report and judiciary committee gets their report. what will i get? will i get summaries after every interview and the fbi agent's observations and conclusions? >> what you will get is what's known as fd 302s. it's a compilation. fbi's agent's recollection of the interview. and so the fbi agent's words will be in there. but there are not going to be any judgments on this. the person said this about this at this time. and these are the facts as presented to me. brian: which makes me wonder why you think it could help brett kavanaugh when everyone is going to interpret this differently. >> well, the reason i think it could help him is if there aren't more facts that are brought forward from

appetizer stage and salad days. now we're at the dessert stage. brian: keith think, for you was it hard to tell your story as part of that or was that the point of it? >> that was hard to tell story. a lot of people didn't know while i was going through it, i wanted to bring attention about eye health, tell everybody to get their eyes checked because i had no symptoms. ainsley: kathy, that was very touching. i'm sure there is not a dry eye out there watching right now especially from the female perspective, we all think of my mom getting all her recipes together. we'll make copies of every recipe, spread it out amongst the kids. my grandmother's recipes, we have those. steve: that's right. ainsley: that was really touching. i'm glad you're here to write the cookbook. steve: ainsley's mom's and brian mom's recipes coming up tomorrow.
