since obama invited them in 2014 and 2015. what do you think is the genesis of this sudden movement toward the southern border? >> whatever the genesis. it's great that cameras and the lights are on. i'm a fan of showing america what is happening. not just what is being carried through some of the reports. but just shine the light. bring the cameras. now people can see what it really means. before they saw what they called the kid in cages which it turned out to be president trump's kids in cages. but let's see what's happening and juxtapose that with a president saying in light of the modernized revolutionary trade deal, the usmca. we have better relationship with mexico now and they are helping now. judge jeanine: if they respect

this president and commander-in-chief, and i believe you, i should be comfortable believing mexico is going to stop them before they come to the united states. >> they ought to do that. if you look statistically, until very recently, the predominant trafficker, the predominant person coming over the border was a single male coming in from mexico. now 45% or so are family units coming in unaccompanied minors or people who say they are a family coming in from central america. we are encouraging people to smuggle children over and pretend they are a family unit. by the way, i talked to a number of cabinet secretaries and senior officials. our brave men and women at the border are doing the best they can. and they risk their lives every

day to be there and ask legitimate questions. if you want to stand in line at one of the 26 ports of entry and stand in line you can do that. we are talking about the sexual assaults are up. the child smuggling is up. the drug smuggling is up. we are a sovereign nation without physical borders. judge jeanine: i want to talk about the heroin crossing the border. the poison killing hundreds of thousands of americans. a thousand a week. minimum. >> there is no doubt. this president has had as a major focus stopping the drug supply and drug demand crisis. 72,000 americans dead last year. 90% of heroin in this country comes through the southern

verify any of that. i will stand by the comments the secretary of state mike pompeo and the president has made. the investigations are ongoing. the president made clear that it seems by the information that the man is dead. it's upsetting to see a major network run a false report that our president said is incorrect. somebody read a transcript from an audiotape. it's that kind of reporting that hurts investigations but i'm not going to get ahead of that. jean require many that kind of false reporting that americans believe is going on. >> that's right. and that's also why the media has a 20% approval rating. the president said if this happened, then there could be

believe her in another case about which judicial watch pursued. the stated department is fighting us on this, which is most of troubling. judge jeanine: the state department as well as the department of justice said hillary clinton was a private citizen and her records shouldn't be rea available to -- shouldn't be available to the public. doesn't a judge have the right to hold these lawyers in contempt? >> you see, that's potentially the relief that may be granted add we get some of the questions we still have pending with the state department. we are asking for this judge to allow us to oppose hillary clinton directly. and he's considering it still. cheryl mills also. i think it's a significant

likelihood it will happen. we questioned her under oath with written questions. we are fighting to get more questions answered. discovery from hillary clinton is a real possibility. judge jeanine: you said it's time to bring mueller in to testify before congress. are you talking about oversight, in their oversight capacity or the judiciary? who? >> the oversight committee, the judiciary committees of the senate and the house. question him about the administration of his investigation. the circumstances of his hiring. we have rosenstein. judge jeanine: have you spoken to any congress people about this? >> they don't want to do this. judge jeanine: why? >> i have been struck by the fact that mueller has been exempted from oversight. the only government official in the trump administration they

judge jeanine: liberty university in lynch burke, virginia is a non-profit christian university where students and faculty practice what they preach. i had a chance to visit and got a first-hand tour from its president, jerry falwell, jr. how is it this university in particular is able to get so many students who were so christian oriented, constitution oriented, who believe in this country and are so energized by what's going on? >> i call liberty the fox news network. the chronicle said the success of liberty university is rooted in the fact that liberty doesn't try to be like every other

university. we try to emphasize freedom of expression. we try to keep education affordable and accessible. the tower is the school of difficult vinity. it's 270 feet high. there is a classroom on every floor. under the law there are three basketball courts where the basketball team practices. those are the newer dorms up on the hill. a lot of new construction going on still. judge jeanine: let's talk about the students here. they are so different from their cohorts in universities. >> visitors to campus are always telling me how they go out of their way to ask them if they need directions. a lot of universities, you go on campus and the student won't make eye contact with you. judge jeanine: what's the role

of the evangelical christian, having seen everything we saw with the kavanaugh hearing. what role do they play and can they turn elections in this country? >> when president trump said to african-americans, what the hell do you have to lose? we took that as talking to evangelicals as well. establishment republicans. judge jeanine: do you think the kavanaugh hearings will bring out h evangelicals? >> i think they are angry and i think it will backifier on the democrats -- it will backfire on the democrats. this is the on grandbaby we

have. judge jeanine: she'll be a student here? >> it will be up to her. judge jeanine: with the mid terms coming up, do you think those on the left are not just out of control, but they are just in to something different than the students here? >> i think the country has never been more polarized. when i was in law school in the 80s i would travel with my far it and students would boo and hiss because he was a conservative. liberals would say i may not agree with you, but i agree with your right to say it. but now they don't want you to say it. they have become fascists in my opinion. i think it' years and years of schools controlled by the teachers' unions. all the professors believe the
