were for president obama. the media did a good job not showing the full picture of the vicinity president obama was in and there were divider walls set up to make it look like there were more people there. rob: you mentioned your husband running for district 3. what are his main points? >> he's focused on the president's agenda, the america first policies. when he traveled the district he hears about the economy and jobs, those are the top priorities and that is what he is going to focus on. when donald trump was a candidate in 2016 he did lose nevada by 2.4% but you have to remember he over performed because if you look back at people like mccain he had the gop's full backing and lost by 12%.

tell us why the president could be right about this. the economy is gangbusters right now. what do you think? is that accurate? >> the economy doing great, numbers say, what the president is talking about is if you lose the enthusiasm, the sense of positivity, that can be effective in hurting the economy and that could happen if there's a shift from republican house to democrat house. rob: a lot of what makes economy work is not tangible but how people feel and if they are confident this is going to continue and they have money in their pocket whether they want to spend it. >> they call that an economic lingo animal spirit. animal spirit is very positive. as soon as donald trump took office you saw businesses, people start to spend more, consumer confidence numbers. the concern is if the president doesn't maintain that positivity

that could shift things in the policy could change to blue less business friendly. rob: the stock market has not been a great story, the nasdaq has been down, all three is down, bad timing for him in the november midterms. >> what it is showing, it looked like there could be a change, could shift to the democratic house, you see the stock market affected by that. rob: you think that is what it was? i think it is a bad market. >> there is a concern that if we do not continue this policy, this sense of positive feelings and positive attitude in the economy you run the risk of things shifting the other way. rob: not sure what will happen in november. the highlights of the strong economy in the united states, 3.7% is our unemployment rate.

the lowest rate since 1969. the administration creating 208,000 jobs per month and wages, 3.1% higher than a year ago. the big number was in august when they said we had 900,000 more available jobs than we had people to fill them. it wasn't that long ago when you couldn't even leave your job because you had no idea when you would find another one. that was a tremendous report that came out in august. >> people are having trouble finding people to do jobs. what he has done since he took office you have an unemployment number 4.8% when he started, 3.7% as you said now. 20% decrease in unemployment. and with the american economy can accomplish. rob: wages keep going up, if you can't find someone to work for you what do you do? give them more money to entice

people to come over. >> supply and demand, there is less supply of workers so you should see increasing wages as a result. rob: democrats say they are not seeing -- the mainstream people, the middle class is not feeling this tax break, it was a corporate and will the gift. what do you say? >> hard to say. it is the first year of the tax break. the president talked about a middle-class tax break and looked at what else we can do. he had one of the biggest tax packages in history and it was positively received, that is one of the reasons for the stock market to be so strong and sense of positivity throughout. rob: thank you so much, good to see you, appreciate it. jillian: 6 minutes until the top of the hour, midterm meltdown. >> give me a pint. >> are you sure you want a whole
