or excellent, that's up from 50% in august. americans feel better about their future. more money in their pockets. less job insecurity. and on judges, president has hit home run after home run. two stellar supreme court justices confirmed and the 29th circuit court judges with many more to come. this may indeed be his most important legacy item. on immigration, the president has been hobbled by congress. remember when he offered democrats a compromise that included legal status for 2 million last february? they rejected his offer. referring instead to, well, politics as usual, because they preferred to keep the political issue alive. as for the waves of migrants making their way towards the united states? the president is 100% correct. we must take a firm stance and we must call on the military. he did that. but the democrats day, don't

the establishment cannot stand it at all. folks, we are a nation, a great nation at risk in a dangerous world. much of the risks that we face is internal. told us they are devices and haven't accepted the fact they lost the election. look at the caravan, just for example. they think that the president -- you don't want the caravan because we are racist? that's not it at all. it's an issue of wall. why should we stand by the side and let people break the law? people getting text messages, have you voted yet? you need to know where your precinct is quick to make it's really smart of them. they really are connecting voters with voting. are republicans doing that to the same extent? i don't see it. >> the jury is still out on the question, laura. it's true that money is absolutely necessary -- >> laura: i haven't got one in virginia. >> it's not decisive either. i'm the very first to say that donald trump is not just going to be the nominee but the president of the united states. i do not think the great silent majority is done quite yet. i think we are going to see that same number of voters that came out to elect donald trump, conservatives, republicans, independents, disaffected democrats, come out now because donald trump has created an emotional bond with the american people. and now he actually has a record that he's running on. those folks out on america are benefiting from his agenda want to make sure that he is well

>> laura: they were saying early voting in florida showed -- i think it was 25- 25-30,000 more democrats voting early in florida than republicans. that's party registration. that doesn't mean who they voted for. >> if you don't mind, when we were going into election day two years ago, we were about 100,000 votes down. 100,000 more democrats voted for us that the republican does voted for the -- we ended up winning by 125 votes two years in florida. today, we are about 70,000 votes down only. we are in a much better position. it is much better. i know chris wants to say no, but the numbers don't lie. >> laura: chris hahn, do you think young people turn out the vote! hollywood told them, we will get to them later. >> 300% tax increase in florida. >> laura: i thought you said

>> i think he cooked up the charge because he realizes once again he has left 6 million voter information vulnerable and he realizes if he got caught two days before the election having exposed so many georgians he would lose so he did what he does always, blame someone else for his mistakes. >> laura: your response? >> look, we got this information over the weekend immediately called homeland security, fbi, the georgia bureau of investigation after meeting earlier today, the georgia brewer investigation has open a criminal investigation into this matter. cyber crime center will investigating that. it's not in the hands of my office can we pass information along to them. they believe it to be credible enough to open a criminal investigation and that's where we are right now. >> laura: can you give us any more though? is there one person, two person, five people? overseas?

in the country? >> laura, i understand. laura don't make very serious matter, we've handled this like we always do, cyber incidents. when it's criminal, we go to the proper authorities. we've done that with the gbi. they found it to be credible enough to open the criminal investigation. i would defer questions to them at at this point. >> laura: mr. secretary, people from jimmy carter to, of course, other supporters of stacy abrams have said, well, you can't be impartial dealing with any claims of voter suppression or challenges to the final vote once they are all cast tomorrow. your response to that have been, welcome a bipartisan commission is involved, looking at any such charges, there are no worries. do you see why democrats would be concerned and if that she was on the other foot, wouldn't republicans be saying kind of the same thing? >> anybody knows how the system

works in georgia wouldn't be saying that. that's a ridiculous claim. it's our county election offices and superintendents that actually hold the election. they are counting the votes. local election board certifies the elections. the press and the public can go watch that. all this nonsense of voter suppression is absolutely ridiculous. minority participation is up 23% in the great state of georgia. there is a million more people on our voter rolls now than when i took office. i created an online system when georgians can register to vote 24 hours a day, seven days a week. stacy abrams voted against that legislation. if you look back, every two years, the same things, the same type of charges have happened from her local groups that are supporting her extreme agenda -- she's trying to distract from the record that she wants people who are here illegally to vote for her and be part of the blue wave. they even sued us over that. when we called them up and how

>> laura: it's a question that has nagged pollsters since 2018 and certainly they don't make one they don't want to face tomorrow. what went wrong? that narrative is basically based on national polls.

they made adjustments to right the wrongs or are we in for another night of surprises? for answers, let's look at two prominent members of the polling field. dan mclaughlin and tom bevins -- john, what's different from this time around for the polling companies and how they adjusted their methodology? >> they are so wrong. we talked for media pollsters, we live and die. remember, the electoral -- inside the trump campaign, we were saying no makeup or we could win. we were sending it around to 5-6 different cities a day but we went through the analytics, we could win but we need a good turnout on tuesday. do you know what? same time tomorrow. if we don't have a good turnout, 35 million votes casted, it could be 100 million. if we do not have a good turnout, we lose. there were all these senate races today, nevada, florida,

missouri, indiana. you had each different pollsters saying in the media that one would say the republican was going to win and one would say the democrat is going to win. the media, they basically -- they never say they are sorry. they put out wrong polls. >> laura: it's the only profession i know of where you can be consistently wrong. not just pollsters. pundits -- if you are a basketball coach and you have a losing season after losing season, you are done. maybe you go coach high school. but what is different this time, tom, that you are seeing in the polls that you saw last time? >> i want to go back to the polls in 2016, the polls in 2016 were better than what was in previous cycles. what was bad with the pundits who were all over the place saying this was absolutely a locked race for hillary clinton. when it was actually much, much more competitive. there was data to support that. >> laura: but build the wall, the big waterloo in pennsylvania, i love sitting at

the hilton watching the waterloo collapse. there was no way he was going to win wisconsin, michigan was done. it wasn't just the pundits. there were a lot of pollsters who got this thing wrong in 2016 for nate silver, the big group -- everyone's looking at nate silver -- excuse me, he was badly wrong. crystal ball smashed all over the silver ball. >> part of it was the experts were assuming -- there's some deja vu happening in this race for there is data to support the idea that democrats are going to win the house and maybe go 35-40 plus seats. and maybe even pick up a seat in the senate for there's data out there that supports the idea that republicans could still have a pretty good day tomorrow. but it's whether the abundance had been willing to acknowledge that data and look at that data. i don't know if there's been a lot of introspection, a lot of learning on the parts of experts

and analysts when they are looking at the data that's out there right now. >> laura: john, a lot of people put a lot of stock in the generic ballot. people watching, plus nine, in reality what does that translate into? >> you've got to look at the internals. you brought up the sports metaphor? i wish these colleges will get good sports teams. it's like quinnipiac. they'll have 23-24% of republicans. it was 33 the day that donald trump got elected. where did we go? we haven't left. a raise in connecticut, sacred heart has us up by two. >> laura: is he going to win that? >> he is going to win. >> laura: my home state is going to be rescued! 's vehicle when he asked them this morning if he would raise taxes, he said no comment. >> we are going to check in with president trump's mino midterm
