us unless they do so at an official border crossing, this comes as a federal appeals court blocks the administration's rule to end the daca program, a 3-judge program ruling is not in accordance with the law. the justice department has asked the supreme court to intervene on daca. the ruling comes on the heels of donald trump's trip to paris, he asserts to meet with world leaders as they mark 100 years since the end of world war i. he will be joined by the first lady on the 3 day trip. the president says he will not meet with vladimir putin. the two are expected to sit down at the g 20 summit in argentina at the end of the month. rob: another big story, acting attorney general matthew whitaker has no intention of bowing out of the russia probe according to the washington post. after more than a dozen democrats, state attorneys general demanded his recusal, the letter suggesting whitaker

joining us is republican strategist and advisor to former florida governor jeb bush, thank you for your time this morning. when the news came down about the recounts, what did you think? >> here we go again. florida races have always been competitive. we knew it would be close. what is interesting is to see if it had even gotten closer after election night. on wednesday it got closer, thursday closer, the senate and governors race. >> the vote advantages 36,232, the voter advantage by scott is 16,071 votes. it seems 36,000, a large number to turn that over but what do you think about scott? >> what happened is the scott race, more than 20,000. he lost 6000, the gap shrunk

6000 votes yesterday and they are still counting votes in broward and palm beach counties. that is why governor scott filed that lawsuit because there is concern they haven't been able to say in palm beach and broward counties how many votes remain to be counted. he was concerned that could continue to shrink and there is no understanding how many votes are left to be counted in those majorly democratic counties. heather: is there a chance we could see something happen? >> it is possible. we have to wait and see what they report in broward and palm beach county. the race could get closer. hopefully governor scott's suit will result in them saying the supervisors of elections in those two counties, how many votes are left be counted? that is very important information i hope we find out today. heather: let's talk about bernie sanders.

he has been outspoken about a number of things, race has been a factor in florida and georgia's races, in florida minorities helped boost desantis to the governor's office. bernie sanders says i think you know there are a lot of white folks out there who are not necessarily racist who felt uncomfortable for the first time in their lives whether or not they wanted to vote for an african-american. what do you make of that statement? >> i think that is an insult to the voters of the state of florida. we had a vigorous, informative campaign, we had debates. i would point out to senator sanders, don't know how much time he spent in florida but, to find out what the people of florida are all about, we are a very diverse state but remind him florida voted for barack obama twice, in 2008, and 2012. for him to make a suggestion like this, one, is baseless. i want to see what evidence he has and an insult to the voters of the state of florida. we have a diverse state here and

we have folks that come across illegally, introduce themselves to a border patrol agent, claim asylum, are put in a detention center, given a bond, asked to return for a court date and they never do. 90% of folks claim asylum is released, never show up again, they disappear. what the president wants to do is stop that, anyone who does cross illegally and is caught entering illegally and then claims asylum, they forfeit their right to claim asylum. rob: if you lose that, they do it in an appropriate way. to hold people and get more judges to speed this up because the delay can be years.

live in them. we are talking about the supreme court and daca and the potential of immigration deal which a lot of people would love to see. the administration was so close it looked like they were right here with this daca for the wall deal between republicans and democrats and democrats walked away from it because they got that court ruling that protected the dreamers anyway. the president said something interesting at his press conference, we can revisit that. he's more confident because he has the supreme court's. what do you make of the potential of a deal now? >> the fact of the matter is the president created daca and the president can undo daca. we have a lot of activist judges interfering in the matter and i think it is just a matter of time before we take care of it. we have a situation with daca on one time, what to do with dreamers on the other side. core dreamers, i feel sorry for them because all they have been is nothing but political ponds
