i don't think she has the votes today to be the next speaker. what do you think? >> i think you should not bet against her ability to just exorcise the role of power just observing how she's been such a survivor and so strong. i think if you just take a step back and think, what's in the interest of the country? what do we want to see here? seems nancy pelosi could have a constructive relationship with president trump. and get things done. i'm actually interested in the problem solver caucus. they represent a group of no labels. i think it's really cool that they're doing that and really using their leverage to try and make change happen. in the end, that's what people want to see, real things happening. >> you agreed that maybe -- donald trump used to be a democrat. he said he's a deal maker. do you think he can work with pelosi? >> i have been shot down in many

circles. keep that in mind all you people out there. i feel like nancy pelosi, she's been pulled to the left by people who are more liberal in her party, at the same time i think she wants to get something done to prove there's a reason for having her there. nobody's better at whipping votes than she is. i think she likes to make a deal. i think the president likes to make a deal. he got burned by his own people last time around. the freedom caucus got in there and, while i agree with so many things they stand for, at the end of the day, you want to get something done, you to get together. she might be able to do that. i love what she's been doing to woo other democrats. if you read the other articles, it is so fun. she had a huge dinner at this very italian restaurant. she's wining and dining. she had this huge dinner for members and their spouses. when you have new members saying i'm sleeping in my office because i can't afford rent or food and she's bribing them with food, reminds me everybody comes to washington poor.

then they leave very rich. i always wonder how you get so rich in the swamp on that salary. >> i have no idea. >> what do you think about this? people are making the argument that she is going to be a caretaker, speaker, she's going to pass more power down. >> i think it's the battle of the want for change and want for new faces, fresh ideas, versus experience and the leadership that she has proven to have. i ultimately don't know what's going to win out. i think that's the battle. look, if there were a serious contender, we would be talking about them now. >> my prediction, all eyes on the progressive caucus. they are supposed to have 90 members. 13 members will be chairman. i think something like 30 subcommittee chairmen. those are the people that are going to give nancy pelosi a hard time trying to pull her to the left, essentially playing the same role the freedom caucus played to republicans. >> we'll watch all these new moderates who won in midwestern
