after 2016, they are now desperate. every two and four years, we've become accustomed to the playbook. over the past 21 months, we have seen something even worse than what we usually see. name calling, identity politics. that just wasn't enough. we watched the left for two years now vilify this president, and a conservative, any republican, now calling on their supporters to literally create crowds, confront so-called evil, opponents that happened to just disagree with them. hillary clinton said you can't be civil with the republican party member that wants to destroy american values. then maxine waters, one of the new leaders of the democratic party, urging her supporters, create crowds. go after republicans where they eat in grocery stores, department stores, gas stations. cory booker urging voters get up in the faces of people in congress and the cabinets. eric holder, "republicans go low, we kick them."

this rhetoric started the very moment donald trump came down the escalator but certainly when he was inaugurated. on january 31st, right after he was inaugurated, 2017, failed vice presidential candidate tim kaine, just to remind you, he had this to say about what democrats needed to do in order to reclaim their power. they were looking for it on day one. >> the way we get outside the bubble is we take advantage of this tremendous public outcry against the administration. what we've got to do is fight in congress, fight in the courts, fight in the streets, fight online, fight at the ballot box and now there is momentum to be able to do this. we aren't afraid of the popular outcry, we are energized by it and it's going to help us do our job and do it better. >> sean: we are saying this better stop. it better stop before people, our fellow citizens, some of our elected politicians are at

severely or even killed. differences should be settled at the ballot box, not on the streets, with fists or intimidation. not with riots in major cities. as you can see, this is not the approach democrats are taking. while words are just words i understand, i hold people accountable for their own actions. some people are inspired by these words, sadly. are we really surprised by what we have been witnessing, what we have all been seeing? secretary nielsen ran out of the restaurant, senator ted cruz run out of a restaurant, the florida attorney general, pam bondi violently confronted just trying to watch a movie. republicans shouted down all over washington, d.c. reports night in minnesota, two local republican candidates were assaulted by far left individuals while talking to constituents.

shane macklin was sucker punched, not only does he have a serious concussion, he will have a four to six week minimum recovery. he said this is not what he signed up for, no kidding. while campaigning door-to-door, state representative of minnesota, sarah anderson was punched by a person claiming to be an anarchist. meanwhile in nevada, a democratic operative arrested after violently assaulting g.o.p. campaign manager kristin davidson after a political event in vegas. nevada's attorney general, now the republican gubernatorial candidate, called this a new low for politics in nevada. last night, senator lindsey graham talked about how he was actually spat at during the anti-kavanaugh protests. a threatening package was sent to susan collins home with content they claim to be ricin, a poison that can kill people. her staff receiving thousands of coat hangers, other horrible threats via phone.

make no mistake, what we are seeing here is the left unhinged in america and they have been unhinged the day that donald trump announced. certainly the day he won in the day he was inaugurated and they have not stopped. they are hoping this vitriol, this hatred, where they get rid of due process and the presumption of innocence, they are hoping this is what carries them into november. if democrats take the house, i've been telling you, it's true, impeachment will be on the table. they keep begging maxine waters, keep it a secret. the center for american progress says don't talk about immigration, it's a losing issue. just pretend you're somebody you're not. how does that help the american people? what does that do to create

jobs? how does that make us more prosperous and make us and our families more safe and secure? we see it every two and four years, you've heard my list. this time it's even worse, out of the mainstream media, literally trying to link president trump, fox news, talk radio, everyone they disagree with and hate with vile atrocities. with an anti-semitic attack that took place in pittsburgh. we've got the tape. >> the threat in this country is white men, most of them radicalized to the right. we have to start doing something about them. >> if you stop saying mean things about me, i'll stop citing angry lunatics to kill you, deal? >> the alleged gunman heard something that resonated. >> what trump is doing is stoking and inciting for the purposes of political power the worst amongst us to take action in his name. anybody who sits there and says there is not causality between these events and the

incitement is as dishonest as they are blind. >> i don't think you have to be a rocket scientist to draw the line between these people and the rhetoric that is being parroted by the president of the united states. >> the racists and anti-semites think he is perfectly tolerant of racial violence and anti-semitic violent. >> sean: the most pro-israel president of our lifetime, as the prime minister, ask ron dermer, they are pointing it out. to blame individuals like this is beyond hateful. we'll get to that later. we have anti-trump hatred, it's become so unhinged even the rabbi from the synagogue that was attacked, he's getting hate mail -- why? because he's meeting the president who is going to mourn the lives of innocent people killed. take a look. >> when i first said the president was welcome, i received a lot of emails, too numerous to count, i can't keep track of every email i read, i cannot keep up with it. i received many emails that are not happy with those words.

the thing that saddens me as -- is those emails also contain hate. it continues in this vicious cycle. hate promulgating more hate, and that's not the solution. we need to be better than this. >> sean: we do need to be better than this, the violence has to stop, the threats, the intimidation have no place in this country. sadly, many on the left political differences now just demonized somebody you disagree with. to them, republicans are evil, the president is evil. fox news, talk radio is evil, that's why you see this kind of rhetoric over the top from liberals like actor james cromwell saying there will be "blood in the streets if democrats don't take back power and destroy the president's agenda." he tried to walk it back, good luck with that. this kind of rhetoric is not only surprising, it's regular. the left is using the politics

we have a split congress, democrats picked up seats in the house of representatives, republicans gained seats in the u.s. senate increasing their majority. republicans were also victorious in the most high-profile races where literally tens and tens of millions of dollars were spent. in texas, democrats almost $100 million they used to defeat ted cruz, didn't work out. his opponent beto o'rourke got support from celebrities, beyonce, jimmy kimmel, that was a waste because ted cruz was reelected last night. in florida, socialist darling of the left mayor andrew gillum was bolstered by a visit from obama, a campaign concert with jimmy buffet, nearly every single poll predicted he would win. they were wrong. republican ron desantis had no chance, he is now the governor-elect of florida. good decision florida. in the senate, republican rick

scott won against democratic incumbent bill nelson. nelson is being a crybaby, he wants a recount. scott is up by tens of thousands of votes, that seat is now rick scott's. in georgia, former president obama campaigned. oprah winfrey went door to door, trump republican brian kemp is over the 50% mark, there will be no runoff in the state of georgia. another win. one of these things they all have in common is president trump campaigned in all of these states. he was in georgia, florida, missouri, indiana, tennessee, north dakota, texas -- the republicans took home statewide victories. republicans will pick up it looks like a gain of three seats in the u.s. senate, that is

massive especially when you look at the historical perspective. democrats will get a net gain of 35 seats, that gives them control, they needed 23 for control of the house but some results are still pending. let me put this in perspective. republicans actually had what is an amazing historically speaking election night. 44 house republicans retired, a massive number. here is the history, here are the headwinds that very few people ever talked about. let's start with 2010. barack obama's first midterm, look at that. democrats lost in his first midterm, 63 seats in the house, six seats in the u.s. senate. that's a total of 69. in 1994, clinton democrats lost 52 seats in the house, eight seats in the senate. that's a net loss of 60. even ronald reagan, 1982, he had only been in office two years, republicans lost 26 house seats and gained zero seats in the senate. since 1914, look at this. the president's own party has

"whatever happens, i'm just glad we ruined brett kavanaugh's life." just for a second, stand back and think how ugly and despicable and disgusting that is. she later apologized and she's being sarcastic, nothing funny. that tweet sums up pretty much what we have witnessed now for far too many elections, far too many confirmations in this country.
