mike pompeo suggested they are taking these steps to protect the migrants themselves saying, quote, the caravans will not be permitted to enter the united states. there are real dangers to the safety and human rights of migrants from those who would prey on them. mike pompeo said he is working with mexican authorities to address this issue. several thousand migrants are on their way to tijuana. local officials are already overwhelmed and with long lines and uncertain future, several migrants urging members of the caravan to stay in tijuana, thousands of jobs they have available. many say they are holding out hope something will change and they will be able to come into the us. todd: holiday shopping turning to become a teenager opening fire and in alabama mall shooting two people during a fight. panicked shoppers hiding in store closets fearing for their lives. >> in every direction and i

start praying that god, the police, wisdom and accuracy of shot, the victims. >> the gunmen shot dead by police and two victims in the hospital. carley: doesn't hurt after charter bus overturns on an icy road. the bus carrying the university of washington marching band flipping on its side on its way to tonight's game against washington state. 40 of the 56 people on board are injured but none serious. todd: testing at the mansion where family was murdered and left to burn in a fire. his wife and kids killed in a targeted attack and the gas cans were found near their home in new jersey. the suspects that his own fire on the same day the family was found dead. his lawyer says he is innocent of all charges and is not a suspect.

that in james comey tweet he talked about being worried about leaking if this wasn't an open hearing. this is an individual who leaked his conversations with the president of the new york times but he is pushing for an open hearing. that is a mistake for two reasons. one is if this is a closed hearing because of the sensitivity of the types of questions he needs to answer i hope republicans hold tight on a closed hearing. >> my opinion is i understand how closed-door him would not compromise the testimony but his answers should be playing whether it is open or closed door. should be consistent. we see recent testimony and we know there can be showboating involved. i am on the tossup between it but i believe in transparency and don't believe anything is wrong with an open hearing so we can get it in front of the american people to make the

carley: i am excited. thank you so much. black friday is here, time to get excited for christmas. are you putting up your decorations this weekend? todd: be careful, they can kill you. believe it or not, 17,000 holiday decorated related injuries were reported last year. jillian: we are bringing an expert to talk about top dos and don'ts for the holidays. doctor mark siegel, thank you for being with us, talking holiday dos and don'ts. what are the biggest things people get hurt doing around the holidays? >> not killed, hurt. here is the first problem. people climbing ladders to put decorations on trees. most of the injuries you see around holiday time especially christmas time are due to decorated trees. after thanksgiving you get your 3. is the tree green? is it hydrated well enough? keep it watered.

if you don't have enough water going through the tree it can to catch fire more easily. don't keep it in the outlets, keep it away from heat sources. really important to take care of your tree. carley: candles, people are lighting candles and that could lead to fires. >> we have the menorah and those candles and christmas candles as well. i tell people not to put live candles on the tree, use ornaments instead. the ornaments have a problem. if they are too fragile don't let your kids near them, your baby could chew on one of these lights and end up with glass in their mouth. get them to the emergency room right away. carley: dangerous world. >> don't climb on ladders if you have been drinking. don't climb on ladders if you haven't been on a ladder. you are in great shape physically but it is something you don't want to do at christmas. you could fall.

carley: hire a professional. have a professional do it if you can afford it. >> outside, it is cold, freezing, snowing, you're slipping. do it as a team also. let your 18-year-old looking for an activity do it, not the older person that is not in good health. todd: i know poinsettias are poisonous to some organic species. is it just dogs or other things to worry about like if i get a poinsettia? >> poinsettias, you don't want your one-year-old eating a poinsettia. a little diarrhea or discomfort. that is an overblown story. it won't kill you but please be careful about it. the other thing is not to drink too much. don't let people trip on these cords, don't let people use the ornaments freely.
