>> that is true. thank you, tyrus. tyrus: how can you find some a smarter? >> that's a good question. i have a little book of iqs and i say there goes one. it is people i am interested in. i had to tell you but i spend most of my time watching podcasts. which is really depressing. tyrus: you do them so you are a jack of all trades. >> so if i find like a scientist or psychologist or a terror expert or whatever, i want to talk to them. that's why it is a was one really smart person and me. and i try to ask the questions anybody would ask. dumb questions, essentially. >> you've interviewed a lot of big names so it was on the top of your wish list? >> i want to get -- who is the dude, the actor that is kind of nutty? well, that narrows it down! not gary busey, who is -- his brother is famous. randy quaid! so dennis quaid is the -- the

hugely successful. randy is successful but randy started on a different path now. he does these weird tweets where he does donald trumps tweets with a flashlight. tyrus: if you do not know our new show called un-pc and you hosted redeye which was the original un-pc. i am basically basing my whole so ãshow on that. what is your advice? >> if i came in for magazines, i no idea -- i was on "fox and friends" and i did o'reilly when i was an editor but i came in as a guest. i had no idea how to be worked, i'd never done a teleprompter, i did not know who the roles were. so i was often rude to people without really knowing i was being rude. or i would yell at somebody because i was incompetent.

i would screw up, i would yell at somebody because i was embarrassed. then i was realized that the person really thinks that i am an a-hole. so i learned to be humble because people love you. and number two, i think my first segment on redeye was exactly the worst thing you could do it fox news. tyrus: interesting you would bring that up. because we were looking for stories and i thought, what did my mentor do? series. britt: what should we be most excited about? we saw a couple of clips. your personal favorite? >> i've been doing this about one year. taking our time, and our business it is 2 and a half minutes. you do something on nightly news and it is a minute and 15. "fox and friends" is three hours but if you repackage with women as people start checking their watch. but for a year they said go as long as you can as long as it takes to tell the story.and we try to do, "what made america great", tackle things in america's history and try to bring something you do not know about it. one of the places i was able to go was mount rushmore. okay great. i loved it from down below. but what if you were able to walk up the side, scale the mountain and the hiking boots in your house that you never use, because you do not hike. i used to them and i was able to write it off at the end of the year on my tax returns and

[laughter] climb up the back and find that there is a shaft in the back cut into the mountain, it was originally cut in to make sure we had a place to put the declaration of independence, the bill of rights, our founding documents should a nuclear war come. that is exactly without permission the creator of mount rushmore did. and when fdr found out he said what are you doing? i did not take to make a shaft in the back of this mountain. we are not putting stuff there. in the 1990s they finally did put replicas of it. but the shaft sister today. britt: what about the lincoln memorial? he said we were watching a segment and you went underneath it as well? >> i cannot tell her any secrets. tyrus: no! britt: i am intrigued. >> how many people went underneath? they're in the process of making that a place tourists can go. you under any seat the inner workings purity of cartoons on

so the make fun of me but people know that i love to read and i love books. tyrus: reading his power. >> it is. it is also an escape, it is learning and all sorts of things. i left interview authors and i'm already reading a lot of these books anyway. so as people come through if i have a chance to interview them i will try to do that. tyrus: do you have any guests lined up yet? >> i did a couple of interviews. i did a historian, joseph ellis.he teaches history. he has run about the founding fathers and what they would have thought about issues of today. right? so free speech, gun control, things like that. i did interview him but i hope to bring in more fiction authors. i read mostly fiction. all day long i read news. so at night or for the weekend i like fiction. britt: have a special. tyrus: we have a quiz for you. britt: are you ready? this is a pop quiz. tyrus: yes. it will either, it is the title of a book. either real or fake. britt: you have to decide. tyrus: you have to decide if it is real or fake.
