that's it. i remember last year in my parish we have a tradition that people will bring up -- the first time they bring their child to church they bring them up and present them to the congregation. i pick up the babies and hold them up. it's the only time i ever get they go wow from the congregation. i lift the baby up and you don't have to say anything. everyone just wow. and then i take the baby and i walk down the center aisle to when we're processing out of the church. and all the little kids. not just the parents, all the little kids come over and i put the baby out so they can see this other little baby. and they touch it. that is why god came to us in the form of a baby. for us to be able to say wow. and for us to get close to god. what an amazingly simple message. griff: the power of the birth of that baby. what is the message that americans should be taking home as they open their

[cheers] >> how did this all come together? here with us now on set is officer chris scotty and choregrapher shonn greene and on skype we have officer gonzalez. sean, i will start with you because this was your idea. what was the first reaction when you went to both sean and manny and told them about this idea? well, fryer that performance we were performing dance and doing flash mobs during holidays and halloween. during halloween he approached me and how about we get done and come down with you. that will be a great way to have you guys come in and i will teach you a couple of moves and now it's like going crazy. and it was awesome. griff: officer gody i have got to ask you. i'm a reporter for fox and the police really work to connect with communities like this. tell me how significant and special that was.

you add what is the best thing for worst worcestershire. >> jalapenos for the pork. last minute glazes. and you see what happens here with use some spices. that's on the pork lion. the roast beef, chestnuts, much rooms. we took corn muffins and made a little corn pudding with that by adding a little milk and cream like a pancake batter. another idea is pancake batter using it for last minuted a chocolate and make a cake. >> when you think of making a cake oh it's a lot of work. pancake is a cake. add chocolate and heath bar and candy canes and things like that which we will get to a little bit later. lisa: i have a little bit of sweet tooth. >> you don't want the oysters with caviar? todd: we have got to get down here and do this stuff. >> try to use some christmas

of thought in what i'm going to give. what specific gifts i'm going to get for my children, for my wife. >> something beautiful, griff. about spending our time thinking about the other. instead of wondering about what we are going to receive. we spend our time thinking how can i help this other person feel better about himself? what is unique and special about this other person and when we stop thinking about ourselves, and focus on others, we rise above our own internal neediness and we actually feel closer and healthier in the giving to others. lisa: i feel like it's interesting, too. i think that dynamic changes as you get older. when you are younger you like to get gifts. the older you get you realize the beauty in giving something as you were saying and sort of seeing the reaction from feel and people you love when you put a lot of thought into a gift. >> there is really a lot of beauty in giving. when you see the faces of the people that you care about and you recognize that you have touched them, simply by thinking about them. by letting them know that my life is better because you are in it.

let's talk about the things that people really do find the most popular at the holiday to buy for themselves or others on the day itself. on december 25. they are i think i know the answer to this. a lot of the people end up going to the movies on christmas day. celebration on christmas eve maybe they don't celebrate. same with chinese food. a lot of chinese food restaurants so busy during -- you looked shocked about this, booth. lisa: also alcohol. which i imagine some people, you know, if you got tough relatives. maybe that's what it is about. we eat chinese food on christmas eve. my grand father when we were growing up he didn't live in the best neighborhoods we went to candlelight service and chinese food. he loved it and paid for it and a huge thing. we did that every year so it became a tradition and a lot of fun a little bit different than maybe some other families with christmas eve.
