was taking money from the russian government. >> let me ask, richard. the president called into the show on fox last night and he said of the new york times story it's the most insulting article i have ever had written. this is the ninth paragraph. no evidence has been proven that he took money from russian government officials. >> a few things, it comes from what came from the mueller report. >> mueller is taking it over. >> both members is two parts. part of it is counter intelligence. they are working to protect our trade secrets and the other part is criminal. the counter intelligence investigation is different. >> it's a real shocker. it's graded as a news story. >> when you think of all of the news story they are not of any

importance. they have not leaked anything. if it's not based on a court filing from the mueller report or team i give it less credibility. >> the washington post story said the president on several occasions concealed the details of his face-to-face encounters with putin. he took notes from his own interrupter. they didn't discuss what inspired. that's unusual but how damaging is it? >> it's damaging from a media narrative for this reason. trump said there has been no collusion and that's what mainstream media would like to attach him to but having notes for the meetings. we don't want everything released to the media. if we wants to help himself he

does have recordings and for his own credibility they would like to damage him based on collusion and connection with russia. he should realize that and be above bar. >>reporter: this is the reason why he might not want to share details. worried about leaks. this story is an example of that. so were his phone conversations with world leaders. sometimes transportations were released. maybe he doesn't trust the people around him. he said i don't care, i'm happy to have this released. let's go back to the media hype. what did you make, as you saw at the top of commentators and anchors accusing the president of lying before he delivered the speech. >> it's the exinhibit ambition of the media. they assume the various thunks about donald trump. in some cases he has problems trafficking straight facts.
