get an early start and departed. that's why you don't see as many people right now because many are on the road. one of the migrants we spoke to, marino florez, he says if he's going to the us he doesn't know if he will enter legally or illegally. here is what he told us. >> reporter: the plant across legally into the united states or illegally? >> translator: i don't know. >> are you a criminal? >> know. know. i believe the united states -- i can do work in a restaurant. i need one opportunity. >> reporter: i shared with mister florez that the trump administration was not going to let him in just for work. he wasn't discouraged with their migration will go about 200 miles west to honduras where they will cross into guatemala. from there, 200 miles north to

the southern mexican border and another 2000 miles to the us border. it is long and dangerous but they are not deterred from doing it. the us embassy in honduras tweeting to the folks a message to the effect of saying false promises, caravan leaders and coyotes will lie to you. don't make this journey. as you see they are off and expected to grow considerably in numbers along their journey and the last time, in october last year, mexico its new president, new administration saying if this caravan tries to cross illegally as it did before that it will be met with serious confrontation. rob: traveling, the latest caravan, thank you as always. jillian: a bipartisan senator held a closed-door meeting to try to find a solution to the shutdown. democrats refusing to compromise on border security until the government is open.

internal conventional wisdom about who's to blame for the shutdown, he's not going to win that. rob: he once $5 billion for the wall the democrats refuse to even negotiate. jillian: a fox news alert, the war on cops escalating overnight. four law enforcement officers in two states shot in the line of duty. in texas the search is on for a suspect after 3 deputies are hurt serving a search warrant, another suspect shot dead and the third in custody. all of the officers are expected to survive. in north carolina three people are under arrest after a state trooper is shot in the face, daniel harrell attacked during a traffic stop. he is hospitalized in stable condition. rob: the man accused of kidnapping jayme closs, police believe he chose his victim after watching her border school bus. j patterson shot and killed her parents and that taped her mouth and stuffed her in the trunk of a car.

released into the united states. under asylum laws with new polls, lack of immigration law judges, they know once they hit here they will be released, their court date will be for 2 or 3 years, we never hear from them again. that is why i am saying we need to do all including the wall. jillian: let's look at some numbers, there's been increased support for the border wall, look at a difference of a year, 42% support it now as opposed to the 34% who supported it in 2018. why do you think more people are in favor of it now? >> because of television shows like yours and what you just said and the american people are looking at common sense and the common sense says a physical barrier is part of the multilayer approach of physical infrastructure, technology, personnel. it works. looking back at 2006 when bipartisan secure border fence act was approved, the same

things were being said then. why they need and this is a crisis as set now, the american people are understanding that. rob: donald trump says nancy and crying chuck can end the shutdown and 15 minutes was at this point it has become there is an the democrats fault. how do you see this ending? someone has to budge, right? >> someone has to budget and i hope just like those statistics, people supporting the wall. and listening to the experts. what i would say to people, stop listening to politicians that never spent two seconds at the border. and 127 border patrol agents. listen to those people, listen to the sheriff in yuma county, arizona, in 2005 when they build a wall 90% reduction of illegal

the school board in los angeles was recently taken over two or three years ago by a pro-reform majority. they are pro-reform and whether teachers strike, breaking the school board because teachers union is tired of the charter schools having more freedom to innovate and have better classroom instruction and what is "happening now" is you have largely working-class immigrants, children of working-class immigrants with 1 million parents, the teachers union is coming against those parents and saying we don't want your children to be better educated. we want to have more control over those charter schools. that is what it is. the water situation is insane too. looking at the water tax in california because government has gotten so big that they can't spend government money on
