plus, a remarkable job's report said the economic pessimist back on their heels, oh, boy, is a good and president trump chief with a message for all of them. i can't wait, nfl gearing up for the super bowl ongoing, it will be fun. so whyhy is colin kaepernick bak and giving everybody headaches? here to break it down for us joe theismann with me tonight reacting, but first, trump forces the democrats and media to show their real card. that is the focus of tonight's angle. you know the economic news stunningly good, when even the anti-trump media has to concede the point. it's a really good report starting this year a lot of hiring across the board, just shredding off the government shutdown and private industry a
11:02 pm
hiring, 100 months of job creation, guys, that is remarkable. >> laura: that with a backdrop of another astounding jobsb report, it made it a little tougher for cory booker's big announcement which was big, on "doom and gloom". >> what my neighbors are concerned with and i heard all around the country is that people in america are losing faith and that this nation will work for them. here beginning to believe that too many folks are going to get left out or left behind. >> laura: what? what countryut does he live in? has cory booker not been following the economic news the past 24 months, the past month or how about just today? well, let's help him get to speed, shall we? 304,000 jobs created in january.
11:03 pm
health care, leisure construction are all up, up, up. and also remember obama outed that trump can bring back manufacturing jobs, but with today'sem new numbers, cnn had o concede this, manufacturing especially in durable goods continued and now a two year long stretch of healthy growth. by the way, how does cory and the rest of the democratic field explain away that whole rise compensation f more in 2018 then it has since 2008. wages are up a whopping 3.2% year-over-year, wow. now, seems like yesterday doesn't it "the washington post" posting pieces like this. "be skeptical of trump's claim that wages will soar after he cuts taxes." and last year think tanks churning out papers morning "don't be fooled, working americans are worse off under trump."
11:04 pm
oh, my god and my favorite nobel prize-winning economist paul krugman due in november embarrassed himself saying trump's tax cut was a fizzle. >> the gdp number is fine, wages are down and people are not saying, gee, this is great, this is wonderful. people are saying, gosh, we are having trouble making ends meet and they have it sensed correctly that the tax cut was for, you know, for a few rich people and corporations are not for them. >> laura: now, repeat, this guy won the nobel prize. but then again, so did oklahoma so big deal. but the bottom line is, experts were wrong once again. terrace on china hurt the chinese and had little effect o us. the shutdown didn't slow the red-hot economy. r
11:05 pm
right now the trump economy is the envy of the world. so democrats like booker, kind of an interesting guy. i will have to say that, he's an interesting person. they are in a strange position because trump has kind of taken a lot of issues excited dependents and blue-collar l workers off of the table. because, look, the democrats will not outdo trump on border enforcement, trade, wages, and certainly not the economy or manufacturing jobs. two years into the trump economy, most americans have more opportunity and more money in their pocket and so, they should be less anxious, and they should be happier, right? but democrats can't have that. no happy voters are allowedld going into the 2020 election because happy voters means a trump reelection. so democrats are basically left with this. pay no attention to this booming economy because of racism and sexism are rampant and it's

trump's fault. >> we now have a president of the united states who is a racist. >> do you believe president trump is a racist? yeah, yeah, no question. >> the truth and evidence points to him being a racist, he's a racist and his policies are racist, end of story. >> laura: sure, maybe they will throw after that pushing for medicare for all and agreeing a new deal but the bloomberg, that is pie-in-the-sky stuff and will never work. now, what bloomberg didn't say is that all of those policies the policies also require massive wealth compensation and they will rob you of your decision-making and the power that you will once have had will now be gone and given to the government. by the way, under their scenario, the misery index won't be able to measure how bad it will be. trumps policy success is also thinking about, it's pulling the

curtain back on the media, isn't it? we knew they were biased, but now we see them actively covering for the left radicalism. they don't really report on the virginia governor ralph northam's comments rationalizing and fantasizing but cover conservative pouncing on his comments. and judging by tonight's coverage, they are not able to do the same with yearbook photos that just surfaced.d. by the way, as long as we are talking about pouncing, it is reporters themselves who pounce any time information surfaces that could be bad for trump. it doesn't matter if it's uncorroborated and complete and anonymously sourced or speculation, just go with it. donald trump knew about the infamous trump tower meeting. nbc news has confirmed michael cohen willing to confirm
11:08 pm
donald trump as a candidate knew about that 2015 meeting between russians and top campaign aide at trump tower. >> laura: false, totally false. how about this, a blocked call don jr. received before the trump tower meeting must have been to his father. >> trump jr. said he didn't tell his father, but there was a mysterious phone call that h trump jr. made to a blocked number right after he learned more about the meeting. >> laura: false, they find out today it never happened. how about this? the catholic boy provoked a fight with a poor, indian elder. >> indigenous elder and build a wall exposes it has nothing to do with border security and it seems like an issue of race and white supremacy. >> laura: false, completely defamatory. now, sure, trump preys the enemy of the people.

it's tough and the press uniform slams him for using it. >> it is pernicious, it is dangerous, it is simply a stalin phrase,, for god's sakes. >> that phrase from stalin and hitler and they both used it but it was used during the french revolution. the radicals that describe their enemies, let's try that during the soviet era mass murder by lennon and stalin.en >> laura: i love when they use the black-and-white historical photos because we are really supposed to believe them, end. the press will willfully mislead but certainly don't seem like an ally of the people, do they? and look for their alliance with the democratic field to become stronger the more the economy improves and the closer that we get to election day 2020. and that brings us back to the vacant bachelor cory booker. things are pretty good in america, cory, and i don't know we are already rising.
11:10 pm
that was his big statement today, we are all going to rise. we just heard even your imaginary friend t-bone has found a job. maybe that is why he wasn't at your bigim announcement today. very sad. and that is the angle. >> all right, joining me now howie kurtz fox news analyst and media buzz sunday here on fox news and u.s. attorney joseph digenova, howie, let me start with you. i feel like we say this way too much, but it's not a good week for the media on a number of fronts. b >>howie: laura, by far the most egregious case has to do with late-term abortion bills in virginia and new york and i say this whether pro-life pro-choice, reservation, this is a dramatic shift yet "new york times," "washington post" framing as only a case of partisan republican's objection to abortion rights even though instead of having a debate on the morality of allowing
11:11 pm
abortions even up to the day of birth as ralph northam says in a taped a interview that we have l looked at. rather than allowing for that possibility, andnd by the way cnn, msnbc and major networks have barely touched the story blatantly biased to be nonnews. >> laura: yeah, what about the latest news, joe, when we see a yearbook photo of ralph northam who just came off of this partial birth abortion controversy, allowed to skate away from that by the press? but then we find red school yearbook, and we don't know if he is the kkk guy or the black face guy, but nevertheless, an embarrassing photo for him. the double standard had this been a republican with that photo, he would never be seen again and probably have to change his name and move to south america. there is a big tall going on in virginia about his fate. how about the media and what they will do the coverage of
11:12 pm
this, joe. >> joseph: well, let's remember ralph northam called it... be a racist and a bigot. ask yourself this question, how does a person like ralph northam live with himself knowing that he was either that guy in the klan outfit or black face. he was an adult in medical school. this is not some youthful indiscretion. this is an adult acting as a racist. this is the governor of virginia. he is a racist and he needs to resign and if the democratic party in virginia can't figure that out, they don't deserve to govern, where is terry mcauliffe the great former governor. has terry ever been in blackface or wear a ku klux klan outfit? this is an abomination after claiming killing a baby after birth is not murder, he then
11:13 pm
comes up with blackface ku klux klan outfit. ralph northam needs to be gone and "the washington post" and all the richmond papers and "the new york times" will figure out a way to excuse it, but the american people know a racist when they see one. ralph northam is a racist. >> laura: well, howie, it is beyond obvious that there is a wild double standard. somebody is subject to these kind of attacks unfairly. branded all sorts of horrible names. i mean, i deal with it everyday and i would say let's debate the idea and stop with the majority. but in this case, you have a man who aired that very controversial ad, and i know joe, you will remember it during the campaign. >> joe: i can't forget it can't forget it.co >> laura: where you have a pickup truck with a confederate flag flying over it and chasing

i believe, and african-american in that ad, muslim. it was the import of fact, this guy is either racist or racist like him so you have to vote for me. so they played the cynical game and it is a trap that they set and they got caught in it. and i think a lot of it is unfair. i'm not going to say ralphfa northam is a racist, i'm not going to do that, because i think that word is thrown around. but i think that photo is obviously not a good photo. >> joe: if you are blackface or clan outfit you are a racist. >> laura: i don't know, i don't know what it is, but i do know this. the media has got to be called on this. it is 25 years old, by the way -- >> howie: northam needs to say he was in the kkk or blackface ,and it shouldn't be a whole another debate. >> laura: we don't know which one.
11:15 pm
well, it was 35 years ago, but compare that to some of the unsubstantiated allegations rolled at greg when he was in high school, did he have a beard, spike the punch. i havegr heard a couple of commentators say since this brok,e, he should resign and it is a dilemma for 2020 democratic presidential candidate cory booker, connell o'harris because if they give him a pass very hypocritical because they have thrown around words like racism at the incumbent president. and so i think 2020 politics may force some democrats to be a little harder on the governor of virginia than otherwise might be. >> laura: joe, i also have to play thinking of where the media is going. all of these conspiracy theories and trump in russia. this is rachel mehta with a cold snap in the midwest. could russia and maybe trump be involved they are?
11:16 pm
i don't know, let's watch. what would happen if russia killed the power in fargo today? what would happen if all the natural gas lines that serve sioux falls just poof in recent memory and it wasn't in our tower to turn them back on? what would you do if you lost heat indefinitely as the act of a foreign power on the same day the temperature in your front yard match the temperature inn antarctica? what would you and your family do? >> laura: i mean, pretty much anyone with a sophisticated person could hack into various power grids and do horrible things to countries including our own. we hope that doesn't happen. china can do it, iran can do it russia can do it. that was an interesting way to pull in meteorological challenges we have had this week, joe. >> joe: rachel maddow is a loon, let's underscore loon that rant that you just saw from the so-called intellectual msnbc

and blackface, halloween or something like that, i have no idea.we for you, what does that picture say, if anything, about his fitness for office? >> alveda: we might ask right now why that picture has emerged now at this time in history. and if we ask that question there is definitely a problem with morality, the heart of the leader that can still demonstrate that their heart has nott changed. let me say while we know the heart has not changed becauseme the governor is now supporting legislation thatha would allow n infant baby to be killed in a decision of a doctor and a mother or whatever.ou >> laura: we know that, alveda but does that photo bother you? >> alveda: let me tell you why the photo bothers me. margaret the founder of planned parenthood was a consultant for planned parenthood.
