whether or not it was an interesting super bowl. green room is split. let's go downtown to atlanta, georgia brian kilmeade joins us. brian, a lot of people are complaining it was boring because to pete's point it was a defensive masterpiece. it really was. not very offensive. what did you think? you were there. >> brian: i well, i think bob cast says you will hear 25 minutes. i wasn't happy with the way the team played in the first half. defense better than anyone thought. no one was surprised the rams defense was that good. surprised the patriots offense was able to click. when the score was actually tied 3-3 and the rams seemed to be getting in gear somewhat, wow, could this shock everybody and be a lot like the saints game whereby the saints jumped out quick and the rams came on strong. if you like defense, you loved this game. and, in the end, the patriots always find a way and if they don't, if you are a high powered offense they will try to outscore

and apologized. but then he backtracked the next day and said, you know what? i'm not in that picture, i don't think. pete: big press conference that afternoon saying it wasn't me in that photo. i don't know who put it on that page. then he also admitted black face once in san antonio when i was on stage performing as michael jackson. i admit that as well. i won't back down democrats overwhelmingly coming out to resign virginia and nationally. ainsley: a lot of conservatives saying where was all the backlash from the democrats and the press when he was saying you could abort your baby up until the last minute. they are calling on him to resign. the pressure intensifies for him to step down. listen to this. >> he has lost the authority to lead he has lost the authority to govern he needs to resign. >> once that picture came out as a clansman there was no way you could continue to be the governor of the commonwealth of virginia.

pinned down on the question. only reporter trying to hold lawmakers seat to the fire and find out if they condone and support both third trimester abortions and also ralph northam's comments essentially endorsing insanity side. he couldn't get anyone on the record. you look at news busters and they found that cnn and msnbc completely ignored it in their prime time coverage. the broadcast networks also ignored these comments of ralph northam about endorsing enfantasizing. the media continuously protects the left. look at the way they covered the issue of abortion. being pro-life is a completely mainstream position for republicans to hold yet, they are treated as extremist. yet, have you these democrats who support third trimester abortion which only 13% of the country supports. yet they are not painted as extremists. why is that? pete: richard, good question. why is that richard? obviously the photo is unacceptable. almost no conversation

about -- let's get what the governor said specifically and get to you react. this is the governor on third trimester abortions. listen. >> in this particular example, if a mother is in labor, i can tell you exactly what would happen. the infant would be delivered. the infant would be kept comfortable. the infant would be resuscitated if that's what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother. pete: richard, the infant would be delivered and then a discussion would ensue. how is that acceptable? >> i think the governor mishandled this question during this interview for sure. there is no question about it. pete: is he a physician though so he knows these things. >> i said he mishandled this interview. but, i think the reason why most sane people and most liberals were not upset about the -- didn't like have an answer to this because they read the bill. and if you actually read the bill, the bill is very clear on what it does and doesn't do. it doesn't do infanticide. what it does say if the

mother is in danger, if the health is in danger. mind you, this has already been a law in virginia for years. instead of taking three doctors to sign off on this if the mother's health is in danger. one doctor can sign off on doing this. it's not up until dilation or anything like that. it basically says if the mother is sick during out third trimester where her life is in danger, heroic procedure can be performed, period. pete: don't you think the governor should answer to his characterization of that bill? >> of course. of course he should. it's also important that the media answers to that bill and if you read the bill you would know exactly what it says u. pete: read out bill. >> i read the bill. pete: i'm glad you did. most reporters don't care about it let alone read it? >> most reporters have an obligation to read the bill before they talk about it. >> you are essentially -- there have also been medical

professionals found circumstances is an abortion necessary when the circumstances you laid out. look at the at things like the new york law where now nondoctors can perform abortions and up to that medical provider to decide if the health of the mother is in danger. health is ambiguous and could mean a lot of the different things. the point is the democrat party has veered to the left on the issue of abortion and now are way outside of the mainstream and only 13% of the americans support that democrats should be on record if they support that yes or no. if they don't say no. they should be asked about it and they should be held to account. >> there is a big distinction between very, very, very, very rare third trimester abortion and infanticide. we are talking about in cases where the mother might have a very harmful disease that giving birth. pete: a lot of ambiguity. >> the virginia bill in particular. pete: we have to leave it. >> there the virginia bill is what it talks about. pete: critics recognize there is a lot of ambiguity.

watering down the nominees to make them more acceptable. you're saying these nominees are real conservatives. while the balance of the court won't be even, it will get closer? >> yeah, most cases are herd by a three-judge panel chosen randomly from the judges. a lot of panels will have significant number of great judges. senators feinstein and harris would love for the white house counsel's office to try to water down this president's nominees, but you know, his judicial nominations are the crown jewel of this president's accomplishments. they have been outstanding. pete: yes. >> makes no sense to try to basically negotiate with people who have done everything they could in very underhanded ways to try to block his nominees, including with bigotry, with slurs. these are not people who are arguing in good faith. pete: that is so right. if they want to appoint judges they should win an election. until then the prerogative is the president trump's. good to hear he is appointing real conservatives. >> thank you.
