weather center with the latest details.adam: this is a very large storm system that will cover a lot of states. you will see different things depending where you are. where all of the warm air is that's where we have severe thunderstorms and tornadoes but this stretches for up to the north with temperatures getting towards freezing. a winter storm across portions of the upper planes run into the upper midwest. including minneapolis, stretching over towards milwaukee and chicago will eventually see a little bit of the rain and snow icy mix as the system moves through. follow this further to the south, the leading edge is what we are paying attention to. currently from areas of mississippi into alabama and up toward tennessee, all spots we been seeing severe thunderstorms and a tornado watch. everything highlighted in the red area. that's a tender watch. in these conditions are right for tornadoes to pop up. every time you see pinkett means that the circulation is

spending the weekend at his mar-a-lago estate in florida. as he spaces a legal blow to the border security policy. a federal judge in california ruling on migrant families separated at the southern border should be included at class action lawsuits that the administration may have to reunite thousands of additional migrant families separated at the u.s. southern border. hello everyone i am arthel neville. welcome to a brand-new hour inside "america's news headquarters". eric: good to see you. thank you for joining us this afternoon. the judge stopped short however, of requiring the

government to immediately track down all the families that may have been deported before being reunited. the administration argued it would be difficult to identify the children who are no longer in its custody. ellison barber is at west palm beach near the mar-a-lago estate following all of it this afternoon. reporter: this judge basically said the governments argument that there would not have the resources or the ability to track down all of these families. he says it's irrelevant. that these are people and they need to be accounted for. the u.s. district judge, ordered the administration last year to reunite roughly 2800 that were separated during the so-called zero-tolerance policy. but in january and inspector general issued a report saying the department of justice, homeland security actually began separating migrant families nearly one year before the zero-tolerance policy was

officially announced. they say far more families were impacted than originally thought. the aclu says those families should be allowed to join their ongoing class action lawsuit. and the judge agreed. according to a court docket with administration argued this is just far too much would likely mean having dozens of staffers work for eight hours a day. at least 235 days in a row. and that is to get started on reconciling the information with testimony or data from homeland security. a deputy director at the agency responsible for overseeing migrant minors, minors across the border alone separated from families, they told the court that they simply could not do all of this. they don't have the staff or resources for all of it. the judge said although this process could be burdensome, it clearly can be done. he actually pointed to some of the governments arguments against doing it to back his opinion. the judge's first big decision ordering the government to reunite families did not include parents whose children were released from custody before june 26, 2018.

-- they should at be counted in the class action lawsuit. he did not decide whether the government will be required to count and reunite all of the separated families. that is a question he says will be addressed at the next hearing. the white house has not responded to our request for comment. eric: thank you. arthel: the former trump campaign chairman, paul manafort, is due back in court next week after receiving a nearly four year prison sentence for tax and bank fraud. all of this is the president's former personal attorney, michael,, is suing the trump organization. claiming he is owed money for unpaid legal services. meanwhile, the president continues to slam the russia investigation. >> keep the hoax going. it's just a hoax. senator burr says there is no collision. look at devin nunes and the house intelligence committee, they said there is no collision. and guess what? there is none.

arthel: i would go to garrett tenney joining us from washington with the latest. reporter: hi arthel. before michael cohen begins his three year prison sentence this summer he is suing the trump organization for millions of dollars. in the lawsuit filed in the supreme court they argue his contract with the trump organization to place the organization is responsible for legal bills that michael cohen racked up defending himself against the investigations by congress as well as special counsel. here's what the president had to say about the lawsuit. >> is the most ridiculous suit have ever seen. i had a bad lawyer. reporter: michael cohen facing questions by his congressional testimony into the democrats coached him on what to say. fox news has learned staff are democratic, spent adam schiff traveled to new york at least four times to meet with michael cohen for more than 10 hours for public testimony last month. and discussed a wide range of topics which democratic lawmakers then asked him about during the hearing.
