cutting aid to central american countries over chaos in the border. jillian: fix immigration crisis oh close southern border. thank you for joining us, jessica. i want to start with this, i'm curious what you say about this, some people argue by cutting aid to these countries, that's in turn going to make the problem worse and essentially in theory we could have a bigger problem at our border, what do you say to that? >> no, i don't think that's accurate. our foreign aid will not change and the reason people are coming to country, they know that the policies at the border enables them to come here just as they come with child, released in the country and allowed to live

indefinitely by saying that -- that's why they are coming. we need more cooperation from the countries so there are a number of different things that we need to be doing. we need countries to do a better job and getting them back in efficient and accelerated way. but also other methods as well. rob: i was just going to ask you, if you look at the -- if you look on return for sending money to central american countries obviously it doesn't look like it's working very well, if you look at méxico and even what lindsey graham that we played in the last block, he says they're inviting them right through and they are giving them buses and taking them right to u.s. border, they can stop all

of this, their southern border can be secured, much smaller, what's your position there, should we lean on méxico a little tougher than central american nations? >> absolutely. >> if méxico enforced its own immigration laws, it's based on so-called final claims, méxico has stepped up and offered people asylum and people are not taking it because they want to come to the united states. i think that there are a number of ways we can look, méxico has no interest in doing this unless it becomes their problem too. that's why we have to do things,

they have to wait in méxico if they are going to make a claim in the united states and our government has to say, look, if you come through méxico, your claim probably isn't valid. there's other ways. the problem is going on for several years now and keep sending resources to send people back. jillian: real quick, before we let you go, let's take a look at number, 2,018,000 total asylum applications in fiscal year 2018, a large number there, why do you think it's important for

everyone to be processed? >> because if we let people in to make asylum claim it turns out that more than half of them don't even fill out application and they don't show up for the immigration court hearing. that's why we need to enforce our laws as well and send people back to home countries to see they are -- >> yeah. >> stop people from wanting to take the dangerous journey. that's why we need -- rob: clearly does look like a loophole in the system when you use the asylum status and numbers show that.

chrisly. kelsea, we will start with you, do you see double standard after this weekend? >> i do, i don't think this is a unique case where there is a double standard among democrats when it comes to me too movement. they constantly want to have believe all women when it's politically convenient for them to do, in cases like lieutenant virginia governor fairfax where it's not easy to believe all women, they cast concerns aside and he's still sitting in office. rob: yeah, obviously when we look at this, the story what joe biden doesn't reach the level of other sexual assault case that is have been more publicly viewed here in this country but, you know, this is another democrat so it's not really a political aspect to this. is this pretty damming for joe joe biden?

>> we do need to listen to lucy flores like we need to make sure we listen to all women who have reports like this. i think it's way too soon to tell just how serious this is and i disagree that there's a double standard evidence here. i think that most democrats have been fairly consistent about this which is that two things can be truth at the same time, one, that unlike true, you know, history until very recently we do need to listen to women and, 2, at the same time we need to follow due process which has served us so well through entire history and that's basically what we are hearing from bernie here and i hope -- rob: let me stay with you for a second, bernie saying that wasn't incident shouldn't disqualify you, i would imagine that would anger a lot of women, one incident shouldn't disqualify you. >> if you check out what bernie said in full context, he started by saying that we listen to lucy flores, democratic candidates

and he said that both democrats and republicans, all of us need to take seriously especially because of the history behind it when women were dismissed and silenced in cases like this and also saying something that we can support, we need to learn more. rob: right. when kavanaugh was going through all of this, in the brett kavanaugh hearings and there was so much rage when one of the women that was found to be fairly -- it was pretty certain that she was making up the story, it didn't stop democrats from still saying that all these women need to be believed. that was an interesting thing to hear. >> right, and it's interesting to hear since they are not concerned about issues of due process, i would argue that's what conservatives have been raising all throughout the conversations involving where we need to wait for facts and investigations to come out. i say joe biden allegation is different because there's video after video, picture of picture

[laughter] rob: how bad is this problem? >> it is a problem, 40%, that's 120 million americans and, you know, before we could even talk about solving it, we have to ask why, there are unrecognized and proven treatments with disorders, 25 million americans with sleep apnea, sleeping disorder, can be lethal and simple things, losing 10% of body weight can get rid of snoring and the problem that you sleep at night and another 31

with insomnia. jillian: let's take a look at some of the tips, go to bed and wake up at the same time every day which is a problem for many people especially shift workers that includes weekend, make sure you're better dark, quiet, temperature with no electronics, avoid large meals and get exercises. i'm curious what you think about something like a noise machine. i use one of those sometimes but i'm hearing noises because i go to bed early and a lot of people are like that. >> those things can be really great. so you'll make bad choices and continue bad behaviors, so noise machines, those are great for changing the environment and that's the one thing will change your sleep, changing the environment, noise machines, other things that you can do. redarkening shades. keep the room cool, most people

sleep in cool environment, duplicating the night and day, warmer during the day and cooler at night. temperature is 65, 75-degrees and the right temperature is unique to you. rob: i love it. you look at this country versus the rest of the world, we work so much harder than the rest of the world, the stress levels here are getting worse and worse, that's got to be leading to this problem in so many ways, people are stressed out. >> it's a big factor. $60 billion a year is lost because of lack of sleep, so it's a real problem, so businesses that are smart are starting quick nap, 20 minutes can reenergize you and make you much more productive. jillian: how do you get brain to shut off? you talk about stress and talk about all of a sudden you lay down and go to bed and going through the lest of things to do and it gets you.
