friends first" on wednesday. jillian: thank you for starting the day with us. we begin with a fox news alert with an overflow of illegal migrants on the southern border. secretary of homeland security heading there today. rob: this after a few violent gang members and sex offenders were arrested near mcallen, texas. jillian: griff jenkins getting a firsthand look at the crisis. >> reporter: good morning. among those gang members two of the three confirmed members of the ms 13 gang from el salvador. the two sex offenders, one of them for sex acts with a minor. that surge of illegal crossings overwhelms the border, the busiest sector of anywhere in the nation just an hour after we landed, we went to the border and witnessed one of those arrests going down firsthand. take a look here.

an hour since we have landed we came to the border to see what is going on. you can see already the military helicopter supporting border patrol and made this apprehension. this is a temporary wall that stops illegals a quarter of a mile or half a mile to the direction you are looking. this stops them from coming into mccallum. this is indicative of what is showing up hour after hour day after day and just keeps coming. you can see the manpower it takes, the eyes in the sky helping in this apprehension. here is the thing about the numbers. they had ten days of 1000 plus, the day before they had 1400. only 3300 to hold apprehended crossings but 6000 right now. if they clear out of the process and release them to the public

dreaming or if i saw snow downtown yesterday. did that happen? >> in south carolina there is video of snow in the carolinas yesterday. this is a coastal low i will show you right now so this is a strong coastal storm, a nor'easter and it had cold enough air in this portions of coastal south carolina in the mountainous areas we saw some measurable snow. most of this stays offshore but this is a bomb cyclone that bombed out in the last 24 hours, dropped 24 mbar in 24 hours a big storm system, most will remain offshore but we will see coastal rain and snow in parts of new england or upstate new york. we will watch that and the wind as well. we could see some delays. i want to mention our next storm
