inappropriately? >> jon: not that i can remember. i do think if i can make one more point. it is important to remember what this isn't. these are not women coming out alleging harassment or assault. these are people saying he violated my space. >> that is harassment. >> intern getting harassed when working in the white house as an intern and the vice president of the united states is holding her face and saying you are a pretty girl, that is definition of sexual harassment in the work place. >> jon: where is outrage as relates to the president who comes out and brags. >> when democrats pivot back to you, anybody's behavior is excusable because president trump is the president, you lose the audience here. you don't get to excuse someone's bad behavior by pointing to someone else's bad behavior, the point is, voters knew about president trump's behavior and voted him into office anyway. this is joe biden trying to make this right so he can run, too.

>> this fox news alert. the justice department responding to a reported split between members of robert mueller's special counsel team and attorney general william barr. the "new york times" reporting some special counsel team members are taking issue with barr's four-page summary of the mueller report. the times reporting this "some of robert mueller's investigators have told associates barr failed to adequately portray the findings of their inquiry and they were more troubling for president trump than barr indicated. according to government officials and others familiar with simmering frustration. the "washington post" reporting mueller's investigators say the evidence on obstruction was alarming and significant. trump attorney rudy giuliani says this proves what they had long argued about mueller's team.

unfair, the only way that can happen, if they make this report public. >> just the last hour, the justice department releasing a statement pushing back on reported criticism of attorney general bill barr writing this. barr provided initial findingsing with understanding report itself would be released after redaction process and does not believe the report should be released in piecemeal fashion. some people in the reporting were upset that more material from their kind of summaries, were not included in this letter that bill barr wrote with the help of rod rosenstein. when you talk about the summaries, it is justice department determined the summaries contained sensitive information, material and information related to current federal information that needs to remain confidential. shut up and wait for the doggone

working with a special counsel to do this. they will release this and bill barr will go to capitol hill in front of senate and house and have two open public hearings, which i'm sure will last all day, get questions about what they redacted and didn't redact. the idea nobody wants transparency is absurd. >> jon, i wrote this down, to your point, why would the attorney general downplay the findings in the letter knowing full well most of this report will be released, knowing he would be called in front of congress to testify about it after its released and if he mischaracterized anything truly, bob mueller, his friend of 30 years, would surely speak up. >> jon: it is interesting, i agree with everything katie said. we don't always take the trump administration at their word. we will see this entire report.

the biggest concern we have right now, it may be slightly false one, people are concerned people's positions are hardening as a result of this book report that attorney general barr wrote. he wrote four pages based off 400 pages. i've written high school book reports longer than that. >> you thi cleared, but on which side? >> jon: on both sides. right? they are worried about hardening their appearance or views when the reality is we all know that no one's views have changed as a result of that. but we need to get the whole report and i think you are seeing a lot of work, particularly on the democratic side. katie is like, republicans also want a release, republicans and democrats alike want the entire report out. we have to make sure it is the entire report and that unflattering pieces aren't redacted under the guise of -- >> sure, but not confidential.

probably start with tariffs, mexico has strongest immigration laws anywhere in the world. they don't have courts like we do. we have a stupid system of courts, crazeiest thing in the world, could be the only country that has it. you put a foot on the property, foot into the united states, congratulations, get perry mason to represent you, you end up with a court case. they release you and you come back four or five years later, but nobody comes back, 2% come back. not so smart ones come back, the most ridiculous system anyone has ever seen and we have catch-and-release and chain migration, somebody comes in and bring the family, bring them all year, grandparents, brothers, sisters, cousins, craziest thing put in by democrats. democrats are going to straighten it out. i predicted this, i hate to see it. i can say, i was right.

i told everybody, you have a national emergency at our border and nobody even talks about drugs. the drugs that are flowing in. so for the last four days you actually have covered it to a minor extent, mexico has been capturing people and bringing them back to their countries at their southern border. they've been taking people under their very powerful laws, they have the right to do it, and bringing them back to where they came from. that is about three days now, i guess, since frankly since they heard i was going to close the border. before i close the border, mexico and we love mexico, we love the country of mexico. we have two problems. we have the fact they allow people to pour into our country, we have to stop them. border control has been incredible, ice, law enforcement incredible. the other problem is drugs. massive, large, most of the

drugs, much of the drugs coming into our country come through the southern border in alla different ways, much of it, we don't have walls, the wall is under construction, by the way, large sections. we'll be meeting on friday at a piece of the wall completed, a big piece. a lot is being built now. a lot is being signed up now by different contractors, it is moving along very nicely. we need the wall. we need lots of other things. we need help from mexico f. mexico doesn't give the help, that is okay, we'll tariff their cars coming into the united states. mexico is big source of drugs, unfortunately, now we have china sending fentanyl to mexico to be delivered to the united states. it is not acceptable. so the second aspect of it, which you haven't heard before, is that if the drugs don't stop,

mexico can stop them if they want, we will tariff the cars, if that doesn't work, we'll close the border. i think that will work, massive numbers of dollars. so if we don't see people apprehended and brought back to their countries, we see massive caravans coming up to our country through mexico, coming through mexico, like nothing. buses are even given to them. last three days it hasn't happened since i said we're closing the border. the only thing frankly better, but less drastic than closing the border, tariff the cars coming in. i will do it. you know i will do it, i don't play games, i'll do it. we're doing it to stop people. we'll give them a one-year warning and if the drugs don't stop or largely stop, we'll put tariffs on mexico and products, in particular cars, the whole ball game is cars, it is the big

ball game with many countries, it's cars. if that doesn't stop the drugs, we close the border because mexico last year and for many years, like china, except china numbers are even bigger. and i don't blame china and i don't blame mexico if they can get away with it. i blame the people that used to sit in this seat, they should have done something about it, not just president obama, many presidents should have done something about it. if mexico doesn't do what they can do very easily, apprehend these people coming in, they could do it much more humane fashion. why should they walk up 2000 miles and then be brought back? they can stop them at their southern border when they come into mexico. they have unbelievable immigration laws, the most powerful in the world, as good as you can have. they are going to do it.

if they don't, we will tax cars. if that doesn't work, we'll close the borders. but we're going to do something having to do with tariffs on drugs. not only are hundreds of thousands of lives a year being ruined in our country, but numbers of people are dying that you wouldn't believe. the we'll lose one military personnel and it is front-page story. yet we have 100,000 people, people don't even know the number, they say 77,000, they say 72,000. any number they give, guarantee to raise it. if the drugs don't stop, we'll put tariffs on it. it costs our country $500 million through southern border. $500 million. so we will put tariffs on if they don't apprehend and ultimately give period of time, but if in a year from now, drugs

on the u.s. mca, the trade agreement which replaced nafta and talking about trade, he said he would say something about the mueller report. he did not. that was erroneous report we got before we saw the tape. the main theme and i'll bring to the couch, jon, it is interesting, if you start to think about how he's framing his presidency, vis-a-vis, 2020 re-election, there is focus on being safety and security president, whether the war on drugs, whether it is immigration, whether it is national security, that is one of the main tenants and main themes and only time willing to put economics aside and the freedom for business aside is idea of wait, the only thing more important than money is security. what do you think? >> jon: yeah, i think that is right. most agree we need stronger, more secure borders. we need to have -- need to address immigration reform in comprehensive way.
