11:01 pm
2020d dems falling for the scam. raymond is here. joe biden has found humor in the hugging scandal. we're going to get into that. the democratic party is almost completely devoid of any unifying policy message for the american people. we have known this will be true for some time. at the al sharpton action network conference this week they swept in to remind us athink. >> we have a long way to go. to end the institutional racism which permeating almost every aspect of american society. >> massive voters
11:02 pm
presented stacey abrams from becoming the right ful governor of georgia. >> we have to dismantle the institutional racism that purveys our society and holds back millions of families. >> laura: for the left grievance instead of addressing the key issue s. how do we improve the lives of all americans and how do we keep them safe? that leads us to the second inescapable reality and a more troubling one perhaps for the white house. i'm concerned tonight that president trump could be scanneddering an opportunity to squeeze on the democrats complete ineffectiveness by lacking a clear vision as it relates to immigration. mr. president, times your rhetoric doesn't match the policy. we're getting mixed
11:03 pm
messages. mixed messages do not help an already deficient congress. let's face it. they never wanted to solve the issue in the first place. i'm talking republicans and democrats. you were right to veto the rejection of the national border emergency. of course it is an emergency. anyone with blue eyes can see it. the push can't stop there. it has to be pedal to the metal. all of the trips to the border, it is time to give big specific policy speeches about what's happening specifically with illegal immigration so i'd go to one of these outrageous birth ing centers in the united states. it is a real scam that's going on with the birthright citizenship. we have a big story we're going to give you next week. host americans are
11:04 pm
completely outraged by how the system is being gamed. they want to force e verify. demand and enforce more deportations, not fewer. republican -- remember this is an easy sell. 23% of americans want more illegal immigration to reaffirm, catch-and- release needs to be replaced. i know the laws can be changed. because of one federal judge and the dianne feinstine act, we can't turn people back to south america. you took the move today. >> our countries fall, areas fall, sectors fall we can't take anymore.
11:05 pm
sorry. turn around. that's the way it is. >> laura: remember this issue is yours. you forced it on them. that's great. stay there. one decade the democrats have gone from this. >> we simply cannot allow people to pour into the united states undetected, undocumented , unchecked, and circumventing the line of people who are waiting patiently, diligently, and lawfully >> do not send your children to the worders. if they do make it, they had get sent back. more importantly, they may not make it. >> now to this. >> let's first acknowledge this is a crisis of the president 's own making. >> if you could, would you take the wall down here? like you have a wall. knock it down is this >> yeah. >> i said we should de
11:06 pm
criminalize the folks at the border. >> laura: this message is going to resonate with women. you are the only one to keep the wages safe. for that to hop consistent bold policy and follow through with the determined rhetoric. joining me now hector garza, and derrick holm, former advisor for the d a. what do you need, hector >> he's doing a great job. he's been proactive in trying to solve the problem that we've had for decades. we need congress to act and make sure they stop encouraging illegal immigration. when we talk about open borders and decriminal izing immigration, that's not a good move.
11:07 pm
look right how, our agents are handling situations where they are being exposed to tuberculosis and heptiti s. >> laura: we have a situation where we have hundreds of thousands of people who have been ordered deported. or they haven't shown up for their hearing. they default. most of them have been judged illegally present and are subject to immediate deoration. they don't show up for the hearing. i've been told by numerous i.c.e. official s just doing that and sending those peel out of the country will create an enormous return effect. due process has been given. they refuse to go by the
11:08 pm
findings. what do you think about that? >> i think the country has to get way more serious. look at bambi lawson. he was arrested six times? i.c.e. detained him. they didn't do anything about it. then he tortures the lady. i think the people need to be immediately removed, the law has to be updated clearly. at the end of the day, we can't have illegals ail -- all in our country. look at atlanta dea case. we had a big takedown 15/24 on a major cartel case. they were illegally here. the lab 400 pounds of methamphetamines, and six out of seven were illegal. they are causing chaos. they need to start deporting. >> laura: it can't just be
11:09 pm
president trump alone. he talks a good game. he didn't close the border. now you are giving mexico a year to figure it out i don't think we have a year, hector. we don't have a year for mexico to get their act together here. this has to stop. we're going to have a million and a half people coming into the country illegally. america never voted for it. they voted for trump. which means they want the opposite of that. >> think about it. almost 100,000 app -- apprehensions in the month of march. that's due to catch-and-release. it is only going to get worse. if we don't control it, we're not going to have border security operations at border. we have new duties of babysitting kids and feeding
11:10 pm
them when we're supposed to be stopping terrorists and stopping dangerous criminals. we can't do that. that's unacceptable. >> laura: we also had a situation this in fresno where a sheriff was describing how bad the situation is. >> an unsecure border directly affecting our communities and without a secure border, gangs and drug cartels will take advantage of any opportunity to exploit our border crisis to further their criminal behavior in our local communities. we've experienced this firsthand. >> laura: people can wave off the concern and say trump is anti-immigrant, trump is this. this is really happening to america. this is not hyperbole. these are american lives. congress is supposed to care about american lives.
11:11 pm
we to a lot for other countries. when we have sheriffs saying we can't to that anymore, assume republicans and democrats take notice. >> one thing for sure, laura, just look at all of the secretary of homeland securities over the last several years. they have all waved the flag about how bad the border was. no one acted. it is typical washington they talk about it, they don't act. secretary nielsen is acting to educate congress, the public, the white house with the experts like all of the border patrol agents that are dedicating their time and sacrificing lives on the border. nobody is listening. that's the really sad part. this isn't anything -- >> laura: they don't want to listen. they hear. they know. they would rather hang out in al sharpton in manhattan and talk about how the whole country is racist instead of saying maybe we can work with the republicans and figure this out.
11:12 pm
because it would be better for all people in the country, especially disadvantaged people who need the help up to actually have this to be an american sensor censored immigration solution. focusing on the american people. that's what i can't understand. it would be good for their communities with the gang activity and all of the other problems that we're seeing. that's what gets me. team jeffries made a comment about at the so-called emergency. he believe it is not really the emergency. he blames one person let's watch. >> the president unfortunately continues to pedal zdeno phobia. it is clear we need comprehensive immigration
11:13 pm
reform. >> laura: we'll start enforcing when you this is not a crisis tt president trump made. this is a problem that we've had been having for decades and decades. a lot of the past presidents have ignored the situation on the border. finally we have a president that has the will and internal fortitude to be able to make a difference on the border. now he's being stopped this any way that he tries. unfortunately, the members of congress are to blame for this crisis on both sides of the aisle. >> laura: and the president needs to stick with their instinct. his instinct is right. he's getting a lot of advice from a lot of people who want to take him away from his instinct. >> he was down there talking to border patrol agents. they are being affected. he was talking to them. >> laura: fantastic. while president trump's view on immigration is driving the left
11:14 pm
crazy, one thing that's crazy is the support from the hispanic voters continuing to rise. 50% think he's doing a good job. that's up 4% from february. joining me now to discuss, the founder and executive director of turning point usa, and fox news contributor. why do you think the president has the support of hispanic votes? >> i'm hot surprised at all. i've seen it in the hispanic community. i'm half cuban. i'm very familiar with it. the job market is great. our economy is roaring. at least right now. i heard the reports that target raised the hundred mum wage on -- minimum wage to keep it at $13. wages are going up naturally.
11:15 pm
that's what hispanics do. they are conservative, hard workers, good people, family oriented. this is the message that reaches them. it needs to continue to reach them. >> laura: a lot of people that came here from central america, they left for economic and family reasons. a lot of folks -- i've spent a lot of time in guatemala. they don't want america to turn into a corrupt country where they don't get real representation or leadership. they left gatt guatemala because it is corrupt. they don't want that to happen high. do you deny that trump's popularity is more than it would have been. >> i don't think we is trust them. >> if they were bad, you could trust them. >> well, usually when this polling happens, it is missing a lot of people.
11:16 pm
most hispanics aren't on landlines. they are on mobile phones. >> laura: we can never say the word latino again? >> polling on hispanics is particularly bad. >> laura: polling was bad before the 2016 election. it is always a snapshot. >> let me finish it out. this is important. when you lump all hispanics into that, that's not real. you had stronger support for a republican candidate in florida where it made sense because of higher venezuela and cuban-american voters. >> laura: no. dan patrick won 40% of the latino vote in texas. greg abbott won 44%. they are both tougher than i am on the voter. that shocked a lot of people. both of them are tough as nails on the border. >> rook, i kind of chuckle. because i'm sure we could find
11:17 pm
you saying previously trust the polls when it comes to trump popularity. >> no. >> we'll never have a conversation about polls again. we have that on the record. it is remarkable. it sews an increase. the increase is exactly related to the president's stance on the border. and as you said, his rhetoric and declaring the national emergency. you look at some of the communities that are most negatively impacted, it is illegal immigrants in texas and had in arizona and new mexico and california. you can attest this. >> even here in virginia, i speak to a lot of people in the virginia latino communities, hard workers with green cards. you know what they tell me? i hope the president stops the mass caravan that's coming this. you don't understand is
11:18 pm
happening in our communities. we're prisoners of ms13. >> laura: northern virginia never had ms13 when i was growing up. >> let's not try to make the issues. >> this is fear for the latino community. >> i agree. >> the difference in polling -- >> laura: we're not talking about polling now. they talked about construction wages going up 6%. they almost didn't like to report that fact. wages are going up. hispanics dominant in the northern virginia and maryland d.c. area in construction. that's good news. we shouldn't be worried about businesses saying we have a tight labor market. good. wages are going up for blue collar workers, a lot of hispanic people. that's money in people's pocket. it is money in their pocket. and luis, i think democrats
11:19 pm
don't care about that. >> for example, in florida, venezuela and columbian americans lean more conservative. that's a significant part of it. when you look at things like donald trump saying the new columbian president is a problem. that's a debt detriment to the growth. >> that's a separate issue. >> foreign policies have a significant -- >> laura: i'm doing china. all of the wages. it heaters. >> people who came over after the hurricane are not necessarily democrats. they lean more conservative. >> laura: all right. i have to play this. it takes us to where the
11:20 pm
demonization game is going in the democrat party. let's watch. >> what he's tried to do, the president has tried to do, is dehumanize the immigrants. that's very similar whether to what congressman o'rourke was talking about or other regimes that try to dehumanize people. >> like the third reich? >> i think one of the things the regime did was to dehumanize people. >> what an insult. you heard mr. o'rourke say it cheapens the war on the holocaust. >> laura: i'm not comparing. >> the reactions to charlottesville. >> law laura: okay.
11:21 pm
now charlottesville wipes out everything. >> blood and soil -- of >> laura: rhetoric. let's talk about the facts. [speakers talking over top of each other] >> laura: this is all you have. this is all you have luis. >> let's talk about that. the 1,007% increase in asylum claims in the last eight years. we have 620% increase in family units -- >> instead of working with the northern triangle to set up sensors there -- >> laura: sensors? we have people sleeping on the street right here. let's not talk about that. >> we don't do anything. we can't perpetuate the terrible tragedy.
11:22 pm

president. we've already seen a black first family. noww we want to know what it is going to mean. symbolism is not enough now. if there's to substance, we've gotten over the aura. >> laura: those comments were drifting with grievous. they lead me to pose this question.
11:27 pm
they are not interested in a real conversation about improving the lives of real people, the state of african-americans in the country, talking about criminal justice reforms, and all of the things that conservatives love. instead they attempt to demonize anyone who rejects the divisive, negative way of thinking. joining me now is a woman that does. aye -- alveda king, the niece of martin luther king jr. is the type of stuff that you are seeing one after the other after the other bowing down to his identity over the last few days? i just raised the question. because it is so negative. it is -- even obama's presidency was dismissed by al sharpton saying he did some good things. now it is on to the real wok. >> isn't that amazing that al sharpton would say that.
11:28 pm
i think he forgot that martin luther king was a prophet. they feed the poor and take care of the hungry. that's the perspective of martin luther king. he's not a political voice. >> laura: some of your relatives are tweeting back about this. you never know what anyone would think.an what would thomas jefferson think. it is -- they were watching a lot of the speeches before the show. he was -- you know, he was sounding more favorable for socialism. i'm going to read part of the speeches. i think we have the full screen when he talked about socialism. this is a description of him. dr. king was anti-war, anti-capitalism, and pro socialism. he saw capitalism an economic
11:29 pm
structure that bred poverty and injustice. we talked about trying to change society which the workers collectivelyh own the direct profit from the businesses that they work. he saw capitalism that produces the extremely wealthy weaponner class and left huge numbers in dire poverty. he fundamentally restructured the economic system in the united states.. maybe the push towards socialism? not even socialism. in restructuring the system, he would want to see african-americans today own land,af own property, work, contribute to society, so he would not necessarily have supported the handout without hand up and equipping people to fish forever rather than having to fish for a day. his socialism was more mindful
11:30 pm
of christ rather than a political structure or system. as far as perpetual protest, he was in hope one day it would end and we'll all have something together. >> laura: also working with people in both parties, which he knew you had to do. i think it is sad. in the civil rights movement today, it is only -- it didn't have a lot -- >> if you are an african-american, everybody is just a unique to be a democrat. that's not really true. martin luther king jr. was an independent. he starletted -- started out republican, but he was an independent. we can't forget our history. we'll do the bad part over. >> laura: you do so much great work for the community. >> civil rights for the unborn.n i'm glad to see more and more

11:32 pm
to do in the country that is a long time coming. one is to move forward with the reparation. >> laura: here now is michael myers, former aclu national board member. you say this is a scam. explain. >> of course, it is. it is more of the blame whitey movement mania and madness. that's what you get with al sharpton so-called house of justice. youof have diversion and distraction. you have this notion of thought. at that house of so-called justice, you have either a horror picture show showing or you have -- applaud. either way it is not to be taken seriously. i can't understand how serious theta presidential contender can give legitimate thoughts to a

racialal blowoff. i think it is outrageous and silly on the part of the presidential candidate. anybody who thinks that white americans are going to take the blame or going to feel guilty or give their land and their property away in some sort of reparation pot because they feel responsibility for the sins of their fore beers. they are not. >> laura: al sharpton was trying to talk about the economic standing. >> blacks are still doubly unemployed. trump said black unemployment ever was. we still doubled the whites. how do you close the race gap? >> laura: trump can cure cancer tomorrow, but he would have said
11:34 pm
he should have done it a year ago. >> i cannot take al sharpton seriously. the whole racial movement is anti-intellectual. it is unintelligent. i can't take -- >> laura: what about all of the 2020 candidates? one after the other just prospering after al sharpton. >> the ratings and kissing his butt. if they want to be serious, they should take al sharpton and say no. there's not going to be any reparations. where is the reparation pact coming from. in 1969, we went to the riverside church and said we want $500 million. that's all. $500 million. they won't ever know in the white churches and white synagogues. where did the money go to? it didn't go to black people. you know where the money goes to. its goes to people who are hustlers, who are pimps, and i resent it.

i think it is shameless and it is racial idiocy. people who are intelligent must address this as such. >> laura: i think -- i mean i heard a lot of people said today what they are doing is racism. the guy that came here from serbia six months ago is going to have to write a check for a somali refugee that came here 20 years ago. >> that's why i say it is unintelligent. nobody is giving up their house, their land, and acres. the 40 acres are gone. not even a building is going into the reparations pot. what are they talking about? these people they are chasing thoughts. >> laura: it is a campaign issue. this is all a power grab. it is a total distraction. we're going to talk about -- we're going to have you back to talk what the aclu is doing in lawsuits. weis didn't have time to do it n
