rob: donald from calling additional troops to the border as 1000 central americans hit the road. jillian: more on the growing crisis on the border. >> reporter: hundreds of migrants reportedly boarding buses on wednesday and set out in a caravan hoping to travel more than 2000 miles to the us. those not on the bus are walking, pushing strollers, carrying babies, guatemala's president says he will confer this caravan but donald trump calling it a dangerous situation saying he is ready to send in more troops. >> great people are dying, bad people are coming up. the gang members being thrown out by these countries because they don't want them. we are not going to do it. heather: the president tweeting this after the roundtable discussion, i think what democrats are doing at the

border is treasonous. there open border mindset is putting the country at risk, will not let this happen. justice we customs and border patrol announced 53,000 parents and kids were apprehended at the border last month alone. agents say the migrant families are overwhelming facilities on the border. there are currently 5000 troops at the border right now. the acting secretary of defense now preparing to step in again. >> what i would say is the situation deteriorates, pretty elastic in terms of demand on us. i would expect to have another request for assistance. heather: mike pence will head to the border and will be taking part in the us border patrol briefing in arizona. rob: bill barr makes a stunning statement on capitol hill.

rob: congress and the court stand in the way of his plans or do nothing at all. another caravan apparently on the way. is the military the only option? between his assistant secretary for public affairs at the the bar mitzvah homeland security, thanks for coming on. with in action in congress what choice does the president have? >> that is the problem. he has his hands tied on this situation and he is expressing that frustration in his news interviews but the reality is he is going to face strong opposition. and he will not have troops active, on the us domestic soil. and what role does the president have versus congress. will he be seen as overreaching

the power of the executive branch? that is frustrating for him but there has to be a point in which he works with congress, to put more resources at the border and stop this crisis. jillian: you see any other option besides the military? >> he has exhausted all options unless what i think could have worked is still going on, secretary neilsen started to put forth the idea that we would surge the border as we do in a natural disaster, we throw our resources to the border and people across the federal government volunteered to go down and help process claims, treat the children that are coming in because they are sick, all these other options like we would with a natural disaster so doing those types of things are things we could do that could help but in reality until we reform our laws, for people coming here, and they are

released, there is no repercussions for them claiming asylum and going into the system illegally. rob: live with these numbers, they expect 100,000 abrogation's in march and got 1031/2. he got more information here. marked apprehensions through the past. go back to 2000, pushing a quarter million apprehensions, today you are at 100,000 in march. people against the president say there is no crisis and you see that number. it is a different migrant, in 2000 it was mailed from mexico coming up here to work, and out of the family claiming asylum and it creates a different slew of issues when kids are claiming asylum. >> the biggest difference is a single mail coming from mexico can be detained while his claim is processed and a family unit claiming asylum, it takes 3 years to go through the process of asylum. there are a lot of fraudulent claims in the system but once

they have been apprehended and claim asylum they aren't details so they are released into the united states and await a court date. some show up and some don't and that is one of the biggest problems. jillian: what do democrats plan to do about this? >> i heard rumblings the democrats are proposing some sort of plan to throw money at the problem in central america or resume foreign aid. they want to put more immigration judges at the border and they once were medical facilities to send these medical issues we are seeing. the problem with all three of those issues is we should be doing some reforms, judicial reforms, all of these types of things in central america because there are huge problems forcing people out of the country and it is a problem for the entire region. it is an issue for brazil, mexico and the united states. we can't just give them money

it is really troubling. this is why democrats are nervous. the democratic national committee needs to be question, lawyers need to be questioned, hillary clinton needs to be questioned and president obama needs to be questions because this was running the obama white house, clear there was a key meeting for instance about that shady dossier in january 2017 including comey, obama, rice and joe biden. what did they discuss? at that time they knew the dossier was salacious and unverified and they used it continuously to get not only spy warrants but to harass donald trump directly with it with comey's meeting and there is nothing herein donald trump said what is going on here? this is not true and yet they continue to push him on it.
