5:00 pm
schiff who tweeted out about chrissy teigen. he said, i might have to delete this but i want everybody to see that. it's great for the weekend on this friday night. on monday, do not miss martha and speak 29's town hall with senator bernie sanders. "fox & friends" tomorrow at 6:00 a.m. >> tucker: good evening and welcome to "tucker carlson tonight." what if someone you hated offered to pay off your mortgage, put your kids through college, deliver a tractor-trailer full of snickers bars to your house. you'd be confused at first and suspicious. why is an enemy giving you the gift of a lifetime? in the end, if you were smart, you would take the gifts. it would be too good to pass up. something very much like that happened in washington last night for "the washington post" reported the trump administration has been debating moving some of the thousands of migrants amassing on our
5:01 pm
southern border into various self-proclaimed century cities across the united states by the president later confirmed that as true in a tweet as of tonight. that policy remains under consideration. talk about great news for blue america! the left loves impoverished americans from the developing world, why wouldn't they? they make our cities safer, they tell us where they improve our schools, they provide the backbone of our economy, they do the work we want to do. they are diverse, they are our strength. they are the best of america, even though technically they are not american. century cities love them best of all. that's why they become sanctuaries for illegal immigrants. every democrat now running for president has affirmed this repeatedly. >> would you take the wall down now here? >> yes. absolutely. >> offer a home for refugees but that is who we are. that's our values. that's part of what we do. >> so instead of building a wall or closing the border, we should choose compassion instead of cruelty.
5:02 pm
>> we welcome refugees and bring people out of out of the shado. >> immigration is not a security issue. it is economic and humanitarian and a family issue. there is no such thing as an illegal human. >> ed: "there is no such thing as an illegal human." good point, kirsten gillibrand! we appreciate your eloquence. oakland mayor libby schaaf believes that so deeply that last year she warned illegal immigrants in her city, including several criminals, that an i.c.e. raid was coming. she wanted to give them time to flee and she did. as she later explained, she said she had no choice. all good people want more illegal immigrants in their cities. >> it is a continued perpetuation of a racist lie that immigrants are not valued members of our society. we in oakland know better. we in oakland have a community that welcomes and honors all people no matter where they came from or how they got here.
5:03 pm
>> tucker: they are welcoming. in fact the whole state is welcoming. in the inaugural address, the incoming governor gavin newsom echoed those words, everyone can come to california, he said. absolutely everyone. >> we need to build a house stronger than the coming storms, a house that provide shelter to all who need it and sanctuary to all who seek it. we will not have one house for the rich, and ones for the poor, or ones for the native-born and one for the rest. >> tucker: the left really couldn't be clearer on this question. all immigration is good. more immigration is better. there is no distinction between legal and illegal varieties of immigration. and if you disagree with any of this, you are a white nationalist. that's what they say almost every day for the past two years but we watch carefully, so have you. now here, completely out of the blue, comes the man they despise the most in the world, donald j.
5:04 pm
trump, offering the one thing they want more than anything, more immigrants. immediately delivered right to their door at federal expense. it must've been like christmas morning. you think you are getting another pair of socks, yet there it is. a pony tethered to your mailbox. holy smokes, amazing. best day of your life. that's not how they responded. the left wasn't happy about trump's offer. they were shocked, they were completely enraged. do you know what this is, they said? it's "dumping." dumping. like you do with garbage or used truck tires in the woods. they had line of "mother jones" red, donald trump wants to dump asylum-seekers on the street of american cities. democratic cities. "the washington post" greg miller, dump them on the cities to punish political rivals. the white house wanted to "dump refugees in refugee cities. people caught that nasty.
5:05 pm
almost simultaneously, in concert, both cnn and msnbc ran headlines accusing the white house of wanting to "dump immigrants into cities." so what's the message the left is sending us, that immigrants are trash? something you drop off as a cruel prank like a flaming bag of dog waste? if you want to defile someone's pristine city, you "dump immigrants on it?" oh. that sounds a little... searching for the word here... racist! a lot racist, actually! but nancy pelosi agrees with it, turns out. she lives in one of these cities that might be dumped on, so she immediately issued a statement decrying it, "the extent this administration cynicism and cruelty cannot be overstated, using human beings, including little children, as pawns in their work came to perpetuate fear and demonize individuals is despicable" for this is confusing. it doesn't seem to make sense but how can the presence of immigrants "perpetuate fear"?
5:06 pm
immigrants are dangerous for they told us that a thousand times but they are safer than you are. they are amazing. much more amazing than you are. policy says that a lot. why is it bad that trump wants us and more immigrants to san francisco. san francisco is a secondary city. it's averted federal law in the hope that more illegal immigrants would come there, and they may be coming, but san francisco is upset. "well, says a new anchors, trump's plan is illegal." you can send migrants to american cities they tell us. there is a process. it really? through the city of louisville, maine, when an entire population of somalis was moved from the refugee camp to to the already beleaguered city. no. no process. the government just did it. same thing happened to hale attending pennsylvania, other countless places across this country. that's how it works, that's how it always works. when you try to do the same thing to the city where nancy pelosi lives, it's
5:07 pm
supposedly "illegal." this is getting confusing. so let's make it easier for everyone. here's a list of neighborhoods that can use some immediate refugee resettlement. these are affluent places that politically liberal's most affluent places are as a matter of policy and conviction. they love impoverished immigrants from abroad or they just don't really have any yet. let's change that. first in line would be beacon hill in boston. that neighborhood has an immediate income of under $20,000 a year before perspective, that's double the national average. it's strikingly not diverse, so it'll be greatly strengthened by thousands of migrants. as john kerry who lives in beacon will warned us, fear of the outsider, fear of someone who doesn't look like you is an attack on america itself. that's heavy. let's stop that attack and do it by sending, i do not know, half of the most recent like a caravan to john kerry zip code.
5:08 pm
he'll be thrilled. he'll have to be thrilled. we'll head back to the upper east side of new york. former mayor michael bloomberg used to live there. unfortunately for him, none of them actually live in his neighborhood. in a city where kids speak to closely 200 different languages in the new york city public schools, michael bloomberg's zip code is shockingly lacking in diversity. let's change that, shall we? while we are at it, let's integrate that schools both schools are famously and rigorously progressive. they know that diversity is our strength. but how many newly arrived guatemalan immigrants have they enrolled this year? not enough. let's see if we can get that number to over 50% by september. eisenhower did something very similar at central high school at little rock in 1956 bit let's see if trump can do it with collegiate and spends. then let's go to the collar in the neighborhood right here in washington.
5:09 pm
barack obama lives there. as he puts it, we are a nation of immigrants. it always america a big advantage over other nations. that may be true. yet there are virtually no poor immigrants in alabama where he lives. let's import a few thousand and drop them in how can obama say no? of course, he would say no. he would be livid, nobody hates diversity more than rich liberals, the very people pushing it. let's hope immigrants are watching all of this on tv and drawing their own conclusion. the left can say they love you. but if they do not want you in your neighborhood, they do not want you going to school with their kids, they are lying. buck sexton is a former cia analyst now with the hill newspaper and we are happy to have him tonight. unravel this mystery for me and i'm only being half disingenuous. how can you write in the middle of the president a campaign when you're extolling the virtues of mass immigration be angry when somebody proposes you live with them? >> i think initially this was a
5:10 pm
risk for trump to put out there because they migrants at the border, i was down at el paso at the border, seeing them being processed under the overpass in this overwhelmed system which is mind-boggling when you see it up close and personal, but i would think that initially people at the border would like the idea of being transitioned to a century cities where they are working with ngos there. when trump said this, i thought, why doesn't this make any sense? oh, the democrats, the ones i was talking about how much we need more of these illegal immigrants commit it or not legal immigrants, they all of a sudden have a problem with this. i found it somewhat surprising, the hypocrisy seems so brazen and so quick, it seems to me that trump took a risk by saying we would do this because the migrants would want to this. a lot of them would be want to transferred to these major cities across the country, but the democrat party has a problem with the all of a sudden. >> tucker: it so interesting that the journalist who are firmly ensconced of the mouthpiece of the ruling class in this country joined in and argued that this was a dirty pool. it was unfair to move these
5:11 pm
people into their neighborhoods. the speak of the defining characteristics of the democratic party are a lot of lies, things like there are no caravans, no crisis at the border and we talked about this on your show in recent months. it's only gotten worse and they been lying about this on and on, but also the hypocrisy. you've been touching on this in your monologue where there's always always that stands among people like nancy pelosi that more is better, the more we can take in from the border even when crossing is great. but it's not going to be in their schools, their emergency rooms, their government services and systems, at least in their neighborhoods that are necessarily going to bear the brunt of this, and in places like l.a. and san francisco, which are very prominent sanctuary cities, people are having a rough time right now. people are seeing the problem on the streets and so the optics of this, the politics of transferring people might actually get people in those cities to think twice about this. i do not know if they would. some of them might, but you have to question why haven't immigration haven't immigration system at all. if it's all the same, why do we
5:12 pm
have all these processes, i would like someone asking of the press pool was honest, they'd asked this of the democrats running for there is no such thing as an illegal person. why do we have an immigration people at all? why isn't a check in on your way to the united states which, by the way, is what we have at the southern border right now? if you have a kid with you, your family union, there is a check in system. 48 hours, you're here in the united states never to be seen by a court or federal official again. it's going to be a million this year at the current rate. >> tucker: let's go to nantucket. dead serious. move them to nantucket and see how it works. great to see you. chris hahn is a radio host and former aide to chuck schumer. we watch for the last 30 years as refugees have been moved from around the world into rural communities, alter minnesota, the state of maine, new hampshire. pick a place and refugees have been moved there without the consent of the people who lived there. if trump says let's do this to america's richest cities where the policymakers actually live,
5:13 pm
including pelosi, that somehow wrong, tell me how that works? >> i think it's the callousness, the way the president is using these people as props. these people who are fleeing oppression. i think big cities like new york and san francisco welcome more migrants than any other -- >> tucker: not true. >> i think new york especially could absorb many more immigrants coming here. i think new york's officials said they said we welcome them, mr. president there but i wonder about is how these shall make this president is using poor people as a prop. >> tucker: wait, hold on! stop the talking points for ten seconds. being wrong -- >> not talking point. just for the record. >> tucker: the cities say they want refugees and illegal immigrants. that's why they are security cities sanctuary cities. the neighborhood i was born in
5:14 pm
has no illegal immigration at all. i mean, it's the least diverse neighborhood -- trust me. there are no guatemalan caravans in pacific heights. so why, since they want it and trump is proposing facilitating what they say they want, why are they mad again? how was that using them as props? >> it's the callousness -- >> tucker: how was it callous? >> he's not treating these people as human beings but he's denying them humanity. that is something -- >> tucker: how was he doing that? would you move to lewiston, maine, orchid nantucket, seriously? >> he's encouraging i.c.e. to break the law and saying he'll pardon them. can you imagine if obama did that? >> tucker: hold on, what obama did is move poor people into other peoples' neighborhoods, neighborhoods where there were no obama voters. that's been going on for generations. if you drive out to rule
5:15 pm
america -- the people who live there were never asked what they thought. that's totally fine, but when you propose it for a journalist neighborhood -- somehow it's dumping? how can you call human human bn your city dumping? >> the president doesn't think of them as human beings and doesn't want to think of the supporters as human beings. >> tucker: i think you would see over at msnbc they call it "dumping." >> it's the president who called it dumping and they were quoting the president, okay? let's be sincere who's calling -- >> tucker: they are quoting the president? [cackling] >> yes. >> tucker: no max, sir. just stop. i've got to be clear. they went quoting the president. there were no quotation marks, no quote from the president saying that. >> they were quoting their source -- >> tucker: dumping, is it something you do to human beings or garbage!
5:16 pm
speaking of the humanizing -- >> they were quoting the source, tucker, who said the president wanted to dump them. yeah. >> tucker: trump didn't say that, let's not pass the buck. >> okay. >> tucker: they are treating human beings like garbage -- >> they are not treating immigrants like garbage bin these cities would welcome them for the president should have a process to bring this people in the country. they are seeking asylum in the united states of america and we should do what we can to defend them like the bible commands us to do! >> tucker: but you don't want them in the neighborhood -- why are there none in nancy pelosi's neighborhood. everybody knows this is crap, chris. >> they have handled waves of immigration for generations in this country and they will continue to handle them, tucker, and they should. >> tucker: everybody knows what the scam is but one thing good about trump, he's exposed the scam. >> yeah, he is the scam.
5:17 pm
>> tucker: congresswoman ilhan omar has a lot of pretty negative things to say about america. what if you disagree? turns out, you can't. that's racist. details ahead. the biggest week in television is back!

5:21 pm
clearly. she despises americans, does it all the time. she clearly attacks this nation as hateful, alienating, living here is an everyday assault. sometimes she says it's probably better than refugee camp in kenya. she lived in a refugee camp in kenya until america took a family in purely out of altruism. omar lives in this country because our country saw her suffering and generously welcomed her, as we have millions of people through our history. since then, she has thrived. she's been elected to our lawmaking body. since then, in a recent speech, she said muslims are second-class citizens in america, this racist country. they've been oppressed because on 9/11, "some people did something." a lot of people upset by that. "some people did something." the civil war was a dispute over american labor. the left rallied around omar for the message clear, she isn't
5:22 pm
simply right on the specifics. if you criticize her at all, the problem is you. you are a bigot. watch. >> this is just pure racist acts by many of those, april asked by those because she doesn't speak truth when she talked about different issues that they don't disagree with. i'm really outraged because as a person who is gotten direct death threats myself, i know that her life is put in more danger. i see her not just as my sister, sister, ilhan omar as a collie, i see her as a mother of three. >> tucker: stephen colbert, he's become such a buffoon, has said the same thing. if you do not like a congresswoman who bashes this country, you're the real problem. you are a racist, you hate muslims, women, whatever. here it is. >> there are many members of our community that their identities are lightning rods, right? they are being used as clinical footballs. you are talking about immigrants, refugees, people of color, women of color,
5:23 pm
minorities -- >> muslims, specifically. >> i just happen to embody all these identities. and so it's easy for this to be self-explanatory. >> tucker: yeah. that's what's going on. but not surprisingly, the furthest out claim came from young pioneer alexandria ocasio-cortez, criticizing congressman omar, she says, is a de facto death threat. >> we are getting to the level where this is against progressive women of color. they can't figure out how to get effective policy, we need to figure out what it is. because this is not normal. >> tucker: don't know how to seriously take that person. the other people take her seriously, it's worth knowing her world, and broadly on the left right now, disagreeing someone is violent. it's not normal. a terrorist attack that merges 3,000
5:24 pm
3,000 let's make that's just "some people doing something?" okay. we've established on the left right now, at least for the duration of the revolution in progress, criticism is violence against all people will look like you! somehow. do you know what's nonviolence, though? trying to poison people you disagree with. we know that because this wednesday of this week, "the boston globe," still in operation amazingly, ran an op-ed by a man called luke o'brien. he suggested that americans ought to tamper with the food of the president or anyone associated with him. make them live in fear, he says. "keep kirstjen nielsen unemployed and eating grub hub over a kitchen sink." if you can tamper with food without getting caught, you'd be serving america and you won't have any regrets years later because he's not in that case or anything. there was some backlash in that even in massachusetts since the globe took the story down, but t apologetic. he attacked the club for doing that and claimed his suggestion
5:25 pm
was tongue-in-cheek. do you think that would fly if an op-ed columnist at boston globe suggested poisoning barack obama or hillary clinton? probably not. not so long ago, it would not be excitable for anyone to say that. at americo we express disagreement by voting and public debate, we do not attack people or scream at them if they dare go outside. that is the politics of fear and hatred and eventually, maybe not even so eventually, violence. it's how americans on the modern left, self-righteousness is an excuse to do anything, even poison. a lot of talk in washington right now about raising taxes. two years ago, congress gave a big tax cut to some corporations to the highest earners in the country. they say they want to invest in infrastructure but we do not have the money to do that. one idea is popular with both parties right now is raising the gas tax. that is the most regressive possible tax would fall hardest on the american lower middle
5:26 pm
class. the people who have the least money to spare. it doesn't hurt coastal elites at all. no one in my neighborhood even noticed it and that's why they support it. so vehemently. here is the alternative to that tax. what if one of the world's largest corporations paid taxes cosmic amazon. let's just pick amazon. amazon had $220 billion in revenue, that's greater than the gdp of 25 american states. amazon took an $11 billion in profit over that number. but for the second year in a row, amazon didn't pay anything. not one dime, and corporate income taxes. using a variety of credits and loophole, not public actually, they slash their tax burden to nothing. how can you do that? no idea. you can't. it's the truth. but they did. that past eight years, amazon's total income taxes don't even add up to a billion dollars. meanwhile, the streets of american cities are littered with rune storefronts, those are direct victims of amazon's
5:27 pm
total dominance of retail, traditional retail. some of their former employees didn't work in stores now labor in amazon warehouses where the between the call 9112 report suicide threats because it's a t place to work. the rest of them cope by developing an addiction to fentanyl or something else. it's a good deal for jeff bezos. he's the world richest man. he can even buy the only functioning daily newspaper in the capital of the country as his personal publicity project, still called "the washington post." he's rich! so if congress wants to find some money to invest in infrastructure, maybe they can start looking at jeff bezos and amazon but why wouldn't they instead of taxing the gas that you put in your truck? protesters went completely bonkers at a missouri university when a speaker tried to argue that men and women aren't exactly the same. that speaker joins us after the break to tell us what happened.

5:32 pm
>> tucker: at least one person has been arrested following a wild protest at the university of missouri kansas city. the protest occurred because a writer named michael knowles wanted to argue that, brace yourself now, that men are not women. update from him in just a minute, but fox correspondent jeff paul is here with video from what happened. jeff? how was it? >> yeah, tucker, a noted conservative columnist was invited to give a lecture by two republican groups, including young americans for freedom. that sparked a protest amongst some students both outside and inside the room. multiple people can be seen marching around, yelling at knowles, interrupting him, holding signs that read "trans rights are human rights" and "trans men are men." someone launched what was at the time an unidentified substance
5:33 pm
at knowles. police arrested student gerard to boot. turns out the substance was lavender oil and other nontoxic household liquid spirit but the police say the police tackled and used a stun gun not knowing if the substance was dangerous. the school chancellor has said in part in a statement that noel's views do not reflect the university's commitment to diversity and inclusion, but he also added that umkc must maintain a safe environment that all points of view, even extreme ones, must be heard. the man is charged with resisting arrest. the school says a campus disciplinary investigation is underway. tucker? >> tucker: jeff, thanks very much. michael knowles joins us now. thanks a lot for coming on. i'm struck by the statement by
5:34 pm
the one who runs the school saying that you are against diversity, but it seems like you're arguing for diversity, the diversity of the sexes, what are you arguing? >> the lecturer itself is arguing for diversity of thought on campuses. chancellor agarwal it is a disgrace to higher education. i woke up this morning expecting an apology for being assaulted during a lecture i was invited to give at the university of missouri. instead, i was smeared basically as a bigot, they referred to my claim that men are not women as an extreme viewpoint and they tacitly are permitting political violins to fester on campus. the message is clear but when that person assaulted me, i initially thought it was pained, i was told by many people in the room it was bleach, they later discovered it was a nontoxic chemical that nearly looked and smelled like a toxic chemical.
5:35 pm
that point it doesn't matter. what matters is the message they were sending. this is a warning shot to conservatives on colleges around the country that if you do not shut up, if you do not count out to leftist orthodoxy, you will be bullied, you will be shouted down, you will be physically intimidated, and may be, next time, that substance will be a little more dangerous. a little more toxic. it is fascism as clear as fascism can be and the university abandon every one of its conservative students and encouraged the agitators and encourage the violence. spiegelman >> tucker: this is a publicly funded university that takes our tax dollars and we say nothing about it and we should shut it down immediately i would say. i would also argue it's not just conservative viewpoints beer there are many feminists would like to preserve, acknowledgment of the biological difference between men and women for they are apolitical biologists who take it to a fact of what you said is true.
5:36 pm
did you say something we are not aware of? >> this is the irony. if they let me give my lecture last night, i would make this very point that when you say there is no difference between men and women, a very fashionable idea that's coming to the public consciousness in the last five minutes, you erase the category of women. you are a race the category of women's exports. you erase these categories. they are very important to our civilization. why did they scream, why did they shout from the very beginning, the very first sentence of my lecture, they shouted me down and eventually they tried to physically assault me? it's because they have no argument. they have no way to win in a battle of ideas, so they are going to bully every person who does not agree with their ridiculous ideological fantasies. and we need to fight back. i was asked if i'm going to cancel the rest of my speaking tour? the college speaking tour just got ten campuses longer. we are not going to let them bully, we are not going to let them intimidate us, even if the universities fan every of their
5:37 pm
conservative students. spiegelman you are taking the galileo position here. you're arguing for science in the face of a hysterical mob that wants to hurt you for saying it. >> i may have given while the lecture that the sky was blue print i've given many campus speeches. i thought this one would be the most innocuous. i thought this would be the driest. it's a fact plain as day. it's a scientific fact, it's a social fact that men are different from women. on these campuses, where students have been totally disturbed by their parents, raised without any manners and by the educators who raise them without any education, they now will not tolerate any plain spoken viewpoints, all they will do is use the heckler's veto and when it comes down to it, they'll be violent and threatening you with substances, threaten you with chemicals, they will shut you up. >> tucker: we should shut these places down for they are wrecking the country. michael, thank you very much.
5:38 pm
i hope you keep going. >> thanks for having me, tucker. >> tucker: new york is taking millions from taxpayers to help illegal immigrants go to college. can they spare any money at all for the children of slain u.s. soldiers? we'll give you the entire commercial break to guess what the answer is and tell you whatn we come back.
5:39 pm
5:40 pm
5:41 pm
5:42 pm
>> tucker: just one week ago, lawmakers in new york got together and decided to spend 27 million taxpayer dollars to provide college tuition to illegal immigrants in the state of new york. new york is rich and they have more money than they know what to do with. they are helping other countries 'of citizens with the money.
5:43 pm
you think they'd be willing to spend something, just to help the children of's soldiers but they would be wrong. nicole miller talk us as a republican in the new york assembly. former candidate for mayor. nicole, thank you for joining us. this is one of the juxtapositions that sickening when you think about it. did anybody in the legislature of new york note that you had just spent $27 million for foreign nationals to get tuition? >> we absolutely have. the past few days, we've been doing all we can to expose this really to function in new york state and the priority has been backwards. when you look at the fact that the state legislature, the democrats voted to give $27 million to individuals who are in the country illegally and they can be here as little as 30 days, take the ged, and qualify
5:44 pm
for free college at city and state universities, yet they turn around in a committee meeting and vote against our gold star families, those children who have lost their parents and loved ones to give them college. the same type of benefits. absolutely backwards. thankfully to an amendment that i had proposed, the rules changed, you now get to see how they voted in committee. now it's transparent, it's online, you can vote them out. >> tucker: look, this is a national shock to most of our viewers, but i want to get it on record. i want it on tape. who pushed this? can you name a couple of names so we can keep track? >> well, the head of the committee is assemblywoman deborah glick. for nine years, they have been pushing legislation to give the free college to illegal immigrants. finally, this year with a change
5:45 pm
in balance of the state senate, they finally got it done. so it didn't pass in the state budget. what's more shocking is in the state budget, they also tried to strip $4.8 million for mental health services for our veterans who returning and trying to assimilate back into civilian life. this is life-saving, life or death for a returning veteran. peer to peer counseling, mental health programming. governor cuomo proposed to cut that funding in the budget. state majority, another majority proposed to cut it. we restored it. that's the happy ending. at the same token, we see just a few weeks later that they are looking to not provide these benefits for free college for our young people whose families were killed. quite frankly, none of us would be elected officials right now if it wasn't for the military men and women who serve so bravely but that's what's really shocking. there seems to be a lack of appreciation. i have to tell you, how do you
5:46 pm
go to a family and say, thank you for the sacrifices? how do you go to the veteran and say thank you for your service class make you go into a committee meeting and vote to kill a bill that would provide free college for -- be when what you're really saying is we hate our own citizens and it's distressing. thank you very much for letting us know what's going on there. >> thank you for covering it. >> tucker: thank you. we want to end that week as we often do with a bang. dan bongino rings his stories in the dan bongino story explosion. fourth of july next.
5:47 pm
i'm a fighter. always have been. when i found out i had age-related macular degeneration, amd, i wanted to fight back. my doctor and i came up with a plan. it includes preservision. only preservision areds 2 has the exact nutrient formula recommended by the national eye institute to help reduce the risk of progression of moderate to advanced amd. that's why i fight. because it's my vision. preservision. try areds 2 + multivitamin.

ready to explode. dan bongino, good to see you. >> that's a hard core graphic. i'm filling in for a sean next. look at it. we get it again. let's dig into my four stop stories of the weekend. number of four, this varsity blues case for this thing will never go away. it's got hollywood actresses, lori laughlin, it's got a lead people with a lot of money paying to get their kids in the college. it'll never go away. i want to bring up one angle that's been left out. tucker, do you know what's crazy about this? one of the testtakers was taking the test for the kid, but he didn't have the answers in advance. he was so smart, you could get the answers right, all of them, on the s.a.t. what was this guy doing cheating? he could've invented the flux capacitor or the light saber or something? dude! >> tucker: running a hedge fun anyway... >> i want to throw that in ther there. that sets up, the three should
5:52 pm
be better than that. story number three, jussie smollet. he did this to himself. i get it, everyone's entitled to the perception of innocence. it's true. the evidence that jussie smollet was not attacked by bleach carrying maga carrying people is getting a bit overwhelming. it's time for jussie to move along for he should've apologize and take the loss, buddy. couldn't do it, now he's being sued by the chicago police department for, what is it, $130,000 for the cost of this absurd investigation? jussie, i don't know you. i have no dog in this fight. let it go. just apologize. move on. come on, man! >> tucker: you are more forgiving. >> very forgiving! i've 's got to let it go. that's the catch. story number two. isn't this amazing how this rush of collusion and for inclusion story keeps turning around on obama and the democrats and everyone else?
5:53 pm
>> tucker: i've noticed. >> finally, a democrat involved in this big for inclusion scandal, greg craig, it looks like is going to get in some serious trouble. has been indicted for work with ukraine that he allegedly did not report under the appropriate guidelines. if you remember, tucker, this is the same thing paul manafort was arrested for. i know you've been all over this because unlike liberals, you're actually a real civil libertarian, unlike others but where is the 6:00 a.m. raid on greg craig's house. you don't want that. i don't want that. >> tucker: i don't want that either. such a good point! since i have lived in washington forever, i remember when greg craig was called in to investigate the corruption of jack abramoff. >> yeah. exactly but you been consistent on this, unlike others. finally, numero uno, the biggest
5:54 pm
story of the week is bill barr attorney general top down like dropping a tactical nuclear explosive on this debate and telling everyone up on capitol g that spying did occur. the story isn't big not because spying occurred, tucker. everybody rational already knew this. what's big is the media freak out afterward where they totally panicked because -- i will just say, cnn and msnbc, other than national security letters, the use of an actual human spy, foreign intelligence, and the use of pfizer warrants, other than all that stuff, you're absolutely right. no spying occurred at all. >> tucker: a job at journalism,. >> tucker: that was one explosion i enjoyed. >> take care. >> tucker: catch more dan bongino in a couple of minutes.
5:55 pm
>> tucker: the nation of china sends more students to study at american universities than any other country in the globe. more than 350,000 chinese students are here every year. universities cater to them because they pay full tuition. they also take seats that potentially could go to deserving americans. that's not all. according to u.s. intelligence services, china aggressively employs students as spies here in the u.s. not russia. china. earlier this year, a chinese student was sentenced to a year in prison for taking photographs of military facilities in key west, presumably on behalf of the fascist government of china. we spoke about chinese students in this country with points berridge capital founder >> why is this a bad thing? speak what's going on in these universities, it's unbelievable. look, the chinese for the last 10-12 years have become economic and military adversaries of the united states. a general in china says we've got to attack u.s. ships in south china seas and invade
5:56 pm
taiwan. we've got a cia director that came out last year and said here in the united states that we are in the cold war of china, their goal is to be the leading superpower around the world. they came out with a 20-25 year plan to take over everything in robotics, artificial intelligence, genomics, aerospace. that's what the goal is. they are sending students here and taking up slots at these universities and, guess what? they are studying in those fields. that's what's going on. >> tucker: we are helping them surpass us at taxpayer subsidize universities, but the educational -- the higher education lobby is so powerful no one will say anything about it? >> there is billions of dollars at stake here. as you said, they are paying to full tuition so the school's love that. not just that. they are also opening confucius institutes around these colleges as well, that's another source of revenue for these schools and those are basically just propaganda arms that are controlled by the ministry of education in china.
5:57 pm
those are at over a hundred universities right now. in fact congressional leaders have come out heavily against this, senator cruz did something last year to cut off funding for schools that would take money for confucius institutes. you've got chinese government also doing that. you've got chinese companies that are partnering up with universities for research and giving money to universities for research. wawei which just went under criminal investigation yesterday has 50 such relationships with universities today. china passed a law in 2017 which says that chinese companies are obligated to help encounter intelligence, they are obligated to keep that in secret. they could go to jail if you are an executive of a chinese company and do not take their offer to help with counterintelligence. yet to come universities are partnering with chinese companies. again, this is not fair to american students. look, many of these universities are top ivy league schools. they accept less than 10% of the
5:58 pm
applicants that come in. these are kids that have stellar grades. they have stellar test scores. they have great academics bid their parents are paying -- they are served in the military or grandparents. they may have somebody die in the military. for service to our country. instead we are taking chinese nationals to fill these slots. then you have corporations here in the united states saying, we need more h1 visas because we do not have enough students with degrees in engineering. well, i wonder why that might be because we are filling up a lot of the engineering spots with chinese nationals and allow these universities. >> tucker: who are going back to china to help china surpassed the united states. meanwhile, if he than 60,004 paying students hasn't delivered any benefit to america. tuitions having gone down american citizens, federal subsidies having gone down. only college minutes readers are benefiting from this. >> correct. they keep raising tuition. our kids can afford it. you got chinese students paying
5:59 pm
the full both, that's a good deal for the university. it's kind of a boondoggle. they are extending admissions officers to get full paid expense trips to look at students and potentially get chinese students to come here. it's a great deal of admissions officers. look, another thing we haven't talked about here. there is a big broad component to these applications coming in. you've got -- they can verify test scores, they can verify extracurriculars. there is a whole gamut. the fbi -- the deposit down the justice department indicted 15 chinese nationals for fraud in . test. what they were doing where fake passports. you can't tell who is who. the s.a.t. is not able to tell fake ids. >> tucker: is totally fraudulent. as our higher education system is. that's a compelling story you told and i appreciate you doing on our show. thank you. >> thank you.
6:00 pm
>> tucker: we are out of time. the hour has passed. by the way, so has the week. we'll be back monday, 8:00 p.m. the show that's the sworn enemy of lying, pomposity, smugness, and groupthink. have a great weekend. with people you love. hopefully not electronically. dan bongino filling in for sean. >> welcome to a special edition of hannity, justice in america. illegal immigration crisis continues. and yesterday it was reported that the white house had proposed releasing illegal immigrants into sanctuary cities. the president commented on the report earlier. >> president trump: rather than moving the illegal immigrants to other parts of the country, first of all, we're getting them and we're doing the best we can with very bad laws, we have to change the laws. we're apprehending
