equity? , i mean, that seems almost an impossible task. but we've seen other despotic dynasties fall. >> yes, we have. and in north korea, transforming the north korean economy isn't going to be simply or easy. you're dealing with a largely uneducated population of over 25 million people and a lot of people in leadership positions that are going to resist change. this isn't going to be clean or easy, but it's the only way out for the north korean regime. and i would also look out for the future, look to see if the russians don't try to play a hand in this can and try to play the honest broker. that seems to be the direction that putin wants to do in the world, and it wouldn't surprise me if he makes that move. eric: you think russia would be the honest broker in this? >> that was just a term of art. look at him to try to interpose himself diplomatically to try to broker a deal. eric: and speaking of putin, look, he's propping up nicolas

maduro down in venezuela. how does the administration respond to that? >> well, this is, what the russians are doing there is, and what's happening now with the venezuelan foreign minister going to russia and pompeo meeting with lavrov in helsinki on monday, looks like everybody's trying to get a way out of this. maduro dodged a bullet with the uprisings this week, and they had lost the chief of their secret police and some of their soldiers. i'm not sure how much longer maduro's going to feel lucky. the russians are in the cat bird seat because a lot of those troops they brought in are security people, and they have physical control of maduro which is why they have so much leverage on him. everybody wants a way out. the russians have $20 billion worth of oakes pose your -- exposure there, and president trump's leverage is citgo that was used to collateralize some of those -- and whether or not that gets hung up in the u.s. regulatory wise, that's trump's

bad weather on race day continue again this afternoon. at 145th run of the kentucky derby set to get underway an hour from now man oh man rain and gusty winds as they go down that course. and fox extreme weather center -- with what is expected hey adam. >> hey there eric last several year these have to deal with muddy course that's going to be the mud try are track again today. here's what we're looking and this is radar loop over last 12 hours often on showers around louisville now for a while and fortunately that's going to be continuing off and on for next hour or so anyway. so bit time you get up to it the race hit or miss if rain is falling a that the moment but ground is going to be soggy part of a larger system across the southeast. it is just been producing rain after rain after rain for the middle of the country as a
